What about using an landscaping edger to cut a distinct line into the ground? It would be easy to see, and easy to fix if someone ruins it.

Yea the plastic lawn edging would work really well without a hay bail blocking a disc from going in low height crossing in. A lot of effort to install potentially but in field courses like ddo it would be amazing

pdga rules mean nothing when your opponent is the judge and jury. Friends help friends, and enemies call rules.

The painted lines are the most economical and the easiest to do. Also the rule should be modified to state that touching the line is in. Like tennis.

All that does is move the point of contention from one side of the line to the other. I agree it's the easiest solution, and it doesn't happen THAT often, where it's this close.

I think a lot of people are missing the point of rule 806.02 B. That rule states: "A disc is out-of-bounds if its position is clearly and completely surrounded by an out-of-bounds area." If there is a lot of discussion and debate about a disc being in or out, then it is not "clearly" either one. Therefore the decision should go to the benefit of the player. Therefore it is in bounds. People are ignoring the word "clearly."

I think painted lines are better and more economical and also don't have the issue with shots being afftected by stakes like Zach mentioned. I think they could just cut the grass shorter where they are going to put the painted line before they paint it.

It's unpopular because it avoids the question. The point is this, this question will always be asked. Even the best players make mistakes. Eventually this question has to be answered. Personally, I think the card called it correctly. The player seemed to agree with the decision to an extent.

As a player I prefer painted lines so I don't have to worry about tripping or stepping over anything if I have to start my run up from OB. The PDGA rule is: A disc is out-of-bounds if its position is clearly and completely surrounded by an out-of-bounds area. "Clearly" is poor defined and the PDGA should tighten this language up. If a disc is clearly OB, you wouldn't need to scrutinize it. The players had to scrutinize the lie so by the wording of the rule, Weatherman should've been counted as inbounds.

Disc Golfers in general, think there is this unlimited hopper of funds and workers to do all these suggestions. Haha. After spending over a year making a course and developing it, I’ve found out the hard way that there are a lot of complainers and very few willing to actually work….

I would have liked to have known if there was a single blade of unpainted grass touching the disc or hovering over the disc edge. You can’t see that in the picture.

i wish the good luck, good game superstitious knuckles was only in casual games and not in tournaments. if a competitor likes their opponents shots and says nice shot with a fist bump whatever. but pre game and almost over knuckles i am out on

It has to be touching inbounds which is inside of the line. I think they should change it to what you said but you could still end up with this same issue. Is it touching the line or not

It’s called networking your sport. I feel you’re being a little sensitive buddy. Don’t get me wrong, Brodie can be obnoxious sometimes but it sounds like you’re just hating. If you were in his position to help build the sport and your own brand, wouldn’t you comment on critical moments within the sport to get people talking? It’s a no brainer… objective commentary fuels every sport.

No her throw cost her her chance not the call b truthful! Benefit goes to the player so if they called it out, it was out. Hugs and butt taps should be b4 and after it's all over. Not b4 18 just traditional I guess.
