I have a John Deere 620 Gator. It is the perfect machine for me when it works. I have had a lot of trouble with it but for the last 2 years it has worked well. When you spend $15,000 on a piece of equipment, you expect it to be tough. This thing is made of plastic and it breaks at the least bit of stress. It will haul anything you can put on it and pulls really great but when it breaks, it is expensive. If I live long enough, my next unit will probably be a Can-Am. I love locust. That was a real nice tree.

It’s definitely a good sized hill, I’ve put off getting a lot of wood from the bottom area because I hated going up it, the new trailer has solved that problem. Thanks for stopping by Jacob!

I JUST pinched one of my saws in the woods yesterday, and my dumb-ass didn't have wedges OR another saw with me, because in my head "I wasn't going to be doing any serious cutting", LOL. You're absolutely getting your money's worth out of that new trailer too, good for you!

I really would like a 4 seat or the defender that’s on a 4 seat chassis but has a 6ft bed. My concerns are similar to yours though, it would be much tougher to navigate through tight trails.
@@765Guys if you ride with group stay at the end of the pack. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to back up and reposition myself to make a corner. I don’t mind doing that but I hate it when a regular 2 seat machine is right on my tail and I can’t make a corner. Then you need to have that machine and maybe another machine backup so you can maneuver the corner. You know the drill. It’s so irritating. The other problem that I have never thought of is, on many trails there are some humps fairly aggressive. Your wheel base is spread so far out that you get hung up in the middle of your machine and you can’t move. Front and back wheels can’t move you. Borrow a 4 seater and try before you buy. Watching you pull your new trailer up the hills, I think you’re going to be really disappointed .Later bud. Al
@@iffykidmn8170 I used to own a dairy farm in the Roger’s Mn. Area. Now we live in Northome Mn. The only locust that I have seen in MN. Were ones planted from nursery stock. That’s good to know that you have seen some around the MileLacs area. I enjoy working different varieties of trees. Cherry I haven’t run into much of that here in Mn. either. I do think we had a few trees on our farm by Rogers. Are you into the firewood channels? Nice to see another person from Mn. Later Al
@@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewood I have watched a few firewood channels but the only two I watch regularly is here and Chris @ITW, I spend equal time watching logging and arborist such as Bjarne, August and Jacob Rodgers, Veteran tree service. Started out logging in northern Wi about 45-50yrs ago and making firewood for my own use and did arborist for several years as well.
@@765Guys notice the 🤬🤪? I actually pinched two bars in the same tree while felling it, and from opposite sides still have not figured that one out 40 odd years later.
