"Threats being Foreign and Domestic" Who would have thought it would have been so Domestic

Growing up, we always had a pantry. We never thought of it as prepping, it's just stocking up on sale items. About 3 years ago I got concerned about the food prices and started stocking up more. Now I am concerned about food shortages. Remember when people use to laugh at us "preppers"? I don't think they are laughing at us now. When something is missing at the store or isn't on sale, I just go to my pantry and replenish when it goes on sale again.

As an Aussie it's absolutely WILD to me to see the unrest and potential threat that's happening within your own borders, from your own people, directed AT your own people. All throughout my life, the American democratic process is one that people have been told to look to as an example of how to make sure the people have their say. I would argue that it's not a perfect system (neither is ours) but ask anyone in a civil war-torn nation whether their system is better or the US and most would say the US by far. How did we get here?! When did the democratic process become something that people are needing to protect themselves from their own neighbours who are now somehow willing to fight and kill each other over in a first world nation? I spent a bit of time in Afghanistan too, and the absolute befuddlement that comes out of seeing their struggle and willingness to seriously wound or even kill each other slowly becoming a reality in the American context is... There's no actual words for it. I would never in my wildest dreams have imagined that it would be possible, and yet here we are. I really hope that every single one of my American friends is safe, gets to express their democratic right in safety and security, and people learn to accept that others have differing opinions and that's ok. Because in countries like Afghanistan where a woman can be stoned to death for even having her voice be heard by someone that's not related to her? People. You are fortunate. Act like it.

I don't think Putin is desperate. That's us. I think he is frustrated.

45 days till the Election. It's a gauge I'm using to be ready for "Come what may".

I really like how leveled headed you are and not doom and gloom.

I am in my 70's and was raised to be frugal and saving. So i was, in reality, a prepper long before prepping became popular as most folks of my generation are. Your common sense approach to delivering information is very much appreciated. Don't get excited just be prepared.

The world is a dangerous place

So many people are caught up with the entertainment value of their channel. It's nice to see the consistent, genuine nature of your delivery. I know I can rely on what you say. I've been watching these types of videos since covid, I purchased a piece of property in the Ozarks and decided to move away from Tampa Bay and live the way I did as a Young Man in WV. Per your style: common sense awareness is key. Thank you for that. I can feel myself tense when I hear any news reports lately & I’m trying not to fall into that trap. It isn’t productive. What really bothers me is the underlying anger within so many people. (I’m still dealing with my own anger because of the last 4 years too) it feels like the second’s before a champagne cork pops. I miss the ability to talk openly, to debate openly, to listen to reasonable people share their political ideas, fears, hopes, etc. I look around & see people shopping like today is just another day and I wonder?

Thank you for all the info you give us. I have a Eco flow river 2 which I bought on one of your previous recommendations and I love it. It’s not all that I need, but it is a beginning and with winter coming on. I can at the very least Plug-in a heating pad to keep me from freezing. I also managed to get a small solar panel, foldable, that doesn’t provide all the power I need but it’s better than nothing. Thank you again. Love you show.

It's hard to keep one's chin up with so much violence going on in the world. Prepping is one thing,, but somewhat depressing that we have to prepare for world violence or even within our own country. I get prepping for natural disasters, but human violence is not "natural". Thanks for the update, Chris.

If you possibly can, volunteer to be a poll worker. I am almost 70 and not in the best of health, but I will be there at my polling place. The best way to put the lie to statements about election problems is to make sure all the precincts are well staffed. I have done it twice before. The system works IF there are enough workers. We cannot give up our democracy without a fight, no matter which side you are on politically. Do not be a wuss at this time in our history.
