That screen looks to be really useful for streamers who want a 'second monitor' to read their chat. Seems like a good use case for that sort of thing, more practical than just something for visuals.
With a bit of brainstorming, you could make your own custom interactable scene to move between chat, mod view, dashboard, and bot commands. Sky is the limit really, make a big animated stream deck out of it.
No streamer would use that for chat monitoring, they already have good sized vertical monitors for that. Better use might be a feed from your security cam in case you get doxxed.
@@HardwareCanucks broo plss could you say the name of the bg music is so good like the case the monitor man only stuff to improve in the software as you said in the video
Love this feature and the fact you can interact with the touch screen, like looking at temps and adjusting volume! I personally feel water temp is missing in the performance display. As this case lends itself to a custom loop, this should be an option imo. Great video as always, you always make them feel different and really convey your enthusiasm for the products.
I love Hyte's attention to detail. It's something I appreciated with Phantek cases. Might have to do my next system in a Hyte case (currently using Lian-Li O11D XL).
The older I get, the more I need to increase font size. Yes, I have glasses, but one size of font does not fit all. Need to be able to move pictures around would be my second request of their software. I do like the idea of a big enough to see PC functions screen without blocking what you are doing (and be able to increase font size). Not to sold on the riser concept. The red is striking.
Well now they need to make a Normal version of the Hyte Y70 for those who want the bigger space but without the Thouch Screen and with the same "fish tank look" like the Hyte Y60 have 😉
If you want to have just the screen for organization and don't care about app control via touch, you could dual boot and just run an os for the monitor screen. Would be great for main system stability and programmed obs/bot interaction for streamers. No doubt you could just make it one huge (not very ergonomic) stream deck.
Beautiful case. Like the increased space from y60. What's missing? No USB 3.2x2 up front. No optional front airflow mesh attachment for fans. No option without lcd screen for those that don't want it. Ridiculously expensive.
I like the idea and it seems to be pretty well executed. Just needs a couple finishing touches. I would use it for a sensor panel mostly, and occasionally use wallpaper engine.
This seems great tbh. Something new and innovative in the market. My usecase would be pretty much wallpaper engine to feel the vibes of the games i play.
If you get this case.. you will almost certainly need the 360 rad for top I tried a 240ml and the hoses were just too short even trying to run in on the left side.. NOPE had to swap out for the 360ml way better
I just got the Y60 a few months ago...then THIS comes out. 🙄I'll bite the bullet and get this, but then I don't even want to look at another case for a while...which is what I said when I got the Y60. 😣
Current beta software for Hyte Nexus (v.1.4.956-beta) allows for a transparent background, meaning it will work with Wallpaper Engine while retaining the touch screen Nexus capability. It doesn't allow for the widget windows to be fully transparent, just mostly. And widget customization is still lacking for my personal tastes. The beta added a few more greyed out options for the "faces" (Notes, Audio Visualizer, IFTTT, Google Calendar, RSS Feeds and Custom Widgets. Currently I run Nexus with no widgets and slide left and right if I need any of the touch screen stuff. By default I have Rainmeter instead of the Nexus' Face widgets.
I'm sure they're gonna take everyone's feedback and update things for future revisions. If anything Hyte has proven they're willing to evolve based on lessons from previous generations.
It's really too bad that case manufacturers are doing genuinely interesting and creative things right at the moment I am absolutely dead-set against building a gaming computer or upgrading my existing computer because of the shenanigans of graphics card manufacturers and game developers.
Aw come on, and I just finished planning my RGB delete build - agh! Looking forward to seeing what Wallpaper Engine and Rainmeter theme combinations will come out of this!
This case is the most beautiful thing my 3rd world eyes have ever laid eyes on.. is a little too much for my wallet tough.. it'be a great idea to use this screen as an extension of your actual screen, for icons, so many oportunities.
You could also use the display for computer stats temps, fan speeds, cpu, gpu ect. and have and OC part as well with settings using touch screen wish more cases had displays using Aida64 Sensor Panel .
I like the concept, but the one thing I loved about the Y60 was that you could get a distro plate that sits in the corner. The case lends itself to watercooling, and while you could put a distro on the smaller glass panel, having the distro on the corner is unique. Maybe we will get a Y70 with the panoramic glass in the future. If we do, I may step up from the Y60 so I can run a larger top radiator
Likewise who needed the LCD screens on the ROG Ryujin LCD AIO, the NZXT Kraken AIO, or the Corsair LCD AIOs? Or maybe RGB on a graphics card? Or painted PC cases? How about vertically mounting a graphics card? The answer is nobody needs it, but it’s super cool and if you can afford it why not? While not absolutely needed they can be useful and look pretty.
@@Seeyalater1998 this seems wasteful with zero practical functionality. LCDs on AIO blocks are simple and inexpensive to produce, and they serve a useful purpose. RGB components are also affordable and generate less e-waste. But a 4k display attached to a PC case? What's the rationale behind that?
LOL I have mine all done up in DEADPOOL theme... and my video card supports 4 displays.. so I am running 2-24" LG's 1-34" tuf ASUS curved screen for center and then the monitor in the case and I really like the RED AND BLACK
Doing it right would have mean doing it via internal usb to have it write images to the screen rapidly, so your using it as an additional monitor to loose your mouse on, or mess up your game launching.
My Y60 is great, only issue is my 4090 is right up against the glass. This case adds more room for these huge GPUs, but then forces a mandatory screen into the deal. Makes the case crazy expensive, but also (IMO) ruins the whole point of this case… to showcase your internals. Make a Y70 non-touch please Hyte!
This case is great, plenty of room to build in. Would have been better if you could choose gpu orientation. My only issue at the moment and why I have put it back in the box is the software is flaky virus ridden. I installed on a spare windows install after virus was noted by my security software. It installs fine but one network service has 11 hits at virus total then my hitman pro security app informed me of intruder alert and my browser was compromised, only new software installed was the Nexus software app for the screen. Really loved this case and the screen but can't have my system security compromised and should not have to whitelist an application as advised by Hyle, even so 11 Trojan hits for the network services executable file is dodgy as hell. Really need to sort the software out so no warnings of nafarious Trojans in any security software.
noice. but… they shouldve made it on the other side, meaning you cant put the case left of the monitor, it works only on the right side of the monitor because of the position of the screen. id use it by filling t with shortcuts for programs and actions. have it left of the monitor and never lift my hand from the mouse. this way if you want to interact with it you have to lift your hand away from the mouse. dunno. maybe im overthinking it. but yes, shortcuts and macros, id use it for that.
I like the looks but they still haven't gotten it right Yet as there is still 50% plastic and still only 50% air flow IF the filter is any good. I wish they would also add standard location for the GPU by rotating the entire rear panel for vertical or horizontal GPU..
