I actually think they need to start replacing a few of Klay’s minutes. Imagine the defensive lineups they can roll out there with Wiggs, Kuminga, Moody, Dray, GPII, and Loony. Even TJD might have some crazy defensive potential. They don’t have a true big but all of those dudes have size, athleticism, or both and can switch onto smaller guards.
Great video. JK is about to explode. Look forward to watching CP build the second unit into one of the league's best. And probably the best learner in that group is Moody, he stands as much to gain from CP as anyone. One thing is for sure, they'll destroy our first unit in ast/to ratio, Kerr is gonna love that.
I think he should be used in a Scottie Pippen style point forward role with him bringing up the ball more. That way GS can use Steph off ball and run back screen to get him free for threes.
Yup, that’s true. Kuminga didn’t do well in the first game against Sacramento. Then, Kerr stopped playing him altogether. Kerr doesn’t have much patience with his young players. Like Wiseman, Kerr’s excuse for not playing him is “inexperienced.” With only 3 games of college basketball, why did Kerr start Wiseman over Looney at the start of the 2020 season?
Yall heard it here first but when Stephen Curry retires Jonathan Kuminga may be leading the young core #Warriors yall! Hes looking like a solid young pro! #NBA
This is why I hate when people say that the Warriors made a mistake by drafting Kuminga ahead of Franz Wagner. Wagner is great don't get me wrong, but you put Kuminga on any 25 win team right now he'd be averaging 20-25ppg no problem. The thing about Kuminga is that he's incredibly gifted, and we see what he can do whenever he has even a little bit of opportunity. In almost all of the games where the starters have been out and Kuminga has been given more opportunity as a result he's put up great numbers. The only reason why he doesn't do it consistently is because he doesn't get that level of opportunity, being on a winning team. And the reason for that is because as gifted as he is, he's still very raw and inconsistent in terms of his basketball IQ and his decision making. This is why the 2 timeline experiment failed. It's incredibly difficult to develop young players and win at the same time. A lot of them are gifted enough to go out and average 20-25 right out of the gate, Kuminga included. But it takes time to learn how to win at the highest level.

Can’t wait for this man to thrive ! However, with Curry and Thompson and Green still here, he will still be overshadowed, and his has no mid range or 3point, not gonna look very different from last year. I really hope CP3 will achieve something with him, he must be better than Ayton.
JK's got great upside. Hope he begins to realize it. He's more than an explosive athlete; he also has court awareness, passing skills, and his obvious defensive potential. In the early plays shown, he would likely have been called for carrying in an NBA game.
Of course he's awesome. But this team has totally blown Kuminga, Poole, Moody, and Wiseman and resigned Green (who nobody even bothers to guard and he still can't score 10 points). Kerr wants vets. It makes him feel safe. Unless there's injury, he'll still play 20 minutes of garbage time when he should be starting.

@@nicklubrino2606Don't get me wrong, Kerr is a great coach for the core bunch, but he has massive blind spots when it comes to a couple of things, and it is has killed their future, which was the brightest of almost every team out there.
He's like a cross between Jordan Bell ( remember him) and his freakish athleticism and Poole with his "handles" and shooting... I hope he, like Curry, stays with GSW for years!! 😊
...I always said he need to leave Golden state to really shine...cause really he a starter to me...and on D 1 on 1 doesn't need help...New York we need him...
It would have been an efficient performance had it not been for those missed threes. Of course, his shot selection in the regular season would be very different.

@nicklubrino2606 the Last game draymond green was suspended for game 4 Against the sacramento kings was the last game Jonathan Kumingga played in the playoffs and he had 20 points with a Golden state W 🤔🤔🤔and after that Kerr never played him once Draymond green was back In the rotation💯
@@eazynobles5964 I’m looking at the box score for Game 7 against the Kings, and Kuminga played 3 minutes. I don’t remember Kuminga playing 3 minutes. Kerr played Kuminga for 3 minutes of garbage time because Game 7 was a blowout.
Kumiga looks passive.... At his height he should have more rebounds than curry.. he always looks lost .. needs to concentrate more .. he got motor like gianis but not using it to his advantage..
People must have watched a different video to me. I came away from that 60 piece hoping he doesn't try half that shit in the NBA this season. I hope he gets the playing time but him playing ISO ball from the perimeter is not going to be a good sign for this warriors team. His handle is still bad and I suspect teams will continue to dare him to shoot until he makes them pay. HIs first order of business should be to get his FT up to 80% at least. He can get to the line almost whenever he likes so he should be as efficient as he can be from the stripe to make the most of that. I just hope he sticks to the role he is given and doesn't try and do too much and equally that Kerr stops yanking him after the smallest of mistakes.
He said it was his lack of rebounding but I think that’s a poor excuse they obviously could’ve used him their lack of rim attacking and athleticism was what made them lose in the playoffs in my opinion
Oh hell nah the league really doomed if kuminga is playing this good bro did not have this bag last year and I am all here for it those crosses and hesis are nasty
Yes I love JK too and I know he is so good Just don't understand why last year's playoff he got seemingly no chance and time to make a run at all I did notice that even he played in those "garbage" minutes he was playing very bad, bad body language, etc. Hope Kerr fixed this and let JK really really explode this year!!!
First move he lifted his pivot foot before he dribbled that is a travel second when he hesitates his hand is under the ball that is a double dribble. This is why old guys reckon the modern game is a joke. No skills just another big jumpin fool… almost every move he makes he gets away with travelling and double dribbles… and no one takes a charge due to more bad refereeing… whatever I’m just a grumpy old man anyway he is a bloody good prospect
He carried on that hezi and traveled after splitting the defenders. In Drew league that's okay, in the NBA, not so much unless your named James. First or last name.....lol
His shooting is still terrible. Bully in summer league and being strong in NBA are totally different. If he can't improve shooting soon, he will be traded by the end of the season.
It was a travel to begin(they don’t typically call it in the NBA though) the. The hessi was definitely a carry. His palm was under the ball… but if he could clean that up…
Ah yes, very impressive. Dropped 60 at a high end rec league game with matador defense. He was the biggest, fastest guy on the court and there were no team defensive schemes from the opponent. Still klanked a bunch of threes. Complete ball hogging. LITERALLY READY TO DOMINATE THE NBA 😅
Lost me when you said Lebron was one of the best wing defenders ever. Lebron is not and has never been a good 1v1 defender. One of the best team defenders/open court, maybe, but definitely not wing or 1v1.
