Kessler is far and wide the best fit and option on both the trade/free agent markets. As much as I love Deuce, he is ultimately expendable because of the guard depth they have now that Divencenzo and Hart are coming off the bench-not to mention the possibility of Kolek getting some legit minutes.
These teams are watching everything we are trying to do. They are beating us to the point and signing players we want. It's just madding but i trust the front office to do the right thing.
Same thing I was thinking. I wondered why Leon didn't try to get someone knowing that he wasn't sure if I Hart would re-sign or not. He's earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt.
Robert Willams would be a great option if he didn't get injured all the time. Imagine Mitch gets hurt and Willams becomes the starter and he get injured as well. We don't need more injury prone players.
Pick up Dwayne dedmon on a cheap contract and we good. Mitch, Dedmon and Sims. Then if we need a trade during the season we make that happen. Some teams are going to under perform and want to trade some players.
I keep telling people. Idk how Raw he is but he has massive potential. From what I've seen he's athletic, he's FAST for a big, he can pass well, plays defense and gets blocks. And he doesn't seem to be injury prone and has a swagger to him. I believe Thibbs had a word on him being drafted and he may contribute this year. Too many people sleeping on him. Also I sometimes hate how Thibs do the rookies. Ariel should be thrown to the wolves early. We have so much depth and talent that he couldn't really lose us a game unless he's flat out horrible. But we need to know sooner rather than later
Can we please stop this freezny for a big man. We need a quality "backup". Harneistein was a back up Mitchell was always and will always be the better center. He gets injures and believe me I see that as a problem but the center position is nearly dead in the nba. So please stop this craziness. We should have drafted flip knowing that we were losing a big man but it's to late now.
@@josephipattersonh6933yea before robinson got hurt ihart was not much of anything nd was js backup but then he had to start for the whole team nd adjusted
Knicks ain’t got no picks for walker kessler what u think Danny Ainge is going to ask for him.. They aren’t going to give the remaining 1st round picks they got for him.. I’m sure Leon has plans
They should have jumped on Drummond idk why they were trying so hard with hartenstuem I never had a liking for players that ball out when a new contract is on the horizon
I think Precious and Jericho are enough for backups at the beginning of the season. Precious is durable and can eat up a lot of minutes if needed. We also have to remember there's still the trade deadline and buyout market later in the year. If another big man to play 10-15 minutes per night is our biggest need at that point, we'd be in pretty good shape.
Charlotte FO is easier to deal with than Ainge. Leon and Knicks FO should go get him. He was a second round pick and Knicks have the second round picks to trade
The best player out there that is similar to Hartenstein is Daniel Theis. Free agent and will cost $5mil. He can hit the three. He has won with Celtics.
Knicks don’t have any assets to trade with fleecing Ainge. They do not have any first round picks till 2031 except 2026, 2028 and 2030 which league rules that teams can’t trade all their first round picks away
The only thing is a better option at center isn't available who is available is not better if anything they just need a third option because Sims is the backup or if he can take a major leap he could start and Mitch can run with the second unit and just pick up a third center for insurance
