I love the realness of her home. You can see a pile of unfolded clothes (1:14) on a loveseat. This is how real ppl live! She could've named her cockatoo Hopper instead of Casper and that still works too! This woman definitely has her hands full with 6 big birds, 4 teens, a full time job as a peds nurse, and two cats! WOW!!

Cockatoos, like any bird, requires a lot of attention, love, and patience. Just know, having a cockatoo is like having a 2 year old toddler who stays that age forever. 😊

I worked in a store that sold parrots when I was a teenager. I purchased a cockatoo and ended up not being able to care for it properly. He needed loads of attention that I didn't provide. In my twenties I made the difficult decision to send him to a rescue. The last I heard from his caretaker he had a girlfriend and partner in crime. I want people to understand large birds are a lot of work and bringing one into your home is a lifelong reasonability.

What an adorable bird. The other one is beautiful with the red feathers. We once visited people and their cockatoo would climb onto your lap, then it wanted a head scratch. And you were not allowed to stop. 😊

I’m in Australia and I have these Cockatoos visit me, as well as Little-Corellas, Rainbow Lorikeets, Magpies and the regular family of dawn and dusk Kookaburras. Your beautiful birds are so happy and it’s wonderful to observe your bond with each of them. I hope that one day you and your family could visit Australia. To see big flocks of wild Sulphur Crested Cockatoos flying overhead, and to HEAR them, is an absolutely beautiful experience. Thanks for sharing your birds in this video, much appreciated. They do make amazing companions, but as stated here by others, only if you have tons of time to spend with them. They are JUST like children. That being said, the rewards are just as great. The love you'll get back makes every moment worth it.

Your birds are the healthiest I have ever seen on youtube. They look better than wild birds...There is no stress pulled out feathers no molting from poor nutrition...They are beautiful because you are beautiful towards them in every way.

I have two conures and I find them a handful sometimes. I've had up to 6 birds at a time but your parrots are huge and I could only imagine the work and noise involved especially with Casper. She's so gorgeous 🥰 You really have a lot of work to do with birds they keep you occupied all day that's for sure until she's asleep. Casper is so funny she's not only beautiful but very intelligent. You have a family, a home, work omg I have no idea how you manage all that. You are a super Mom!! Enjoy your beautiful Angels 💕🙏

They do require a lot of attention but they also live past our age.. so making sure u have a plan for them to thrive is a must.. my grandmothers birds are still alive and they are like 40 years old

I love this bird, they are amazing animals, I had a cockateil, purchased from a young man who had to go to college, and it was a male, after 2 weeks, I heard a whistle call in my living room and I thought, wait a sec, the tv isn't on, I then realized as he did it again, it was the bird, he never did another type of whistle or talking but, it was so cool to me.

My baby boy is a Muscovy duck (who loves watermelon) We met two years ago and stay together literally because he decided to. He hurted his leg, so I rehabilitated him after going at the hospital and get treatment (the leg is perfectly fine now) that's in part the reason why we became this closer. I love him in a unexplainable way, and he loves me as well..as if we were the only ones in the whole world. I say that I adopted him as my child, but in true...he adopted me as his parent. Now we cannot be away from the other. He is such a lovely and clingy duck, my baby is the most expressive duck i have ever met. I'll give everything for him.

I got a little nervous when she brought her birds outside..I have seen a video of a hawk grabbing a parrot off someone's shoulder. Putting that aside, I enjoyed watching the bond this woman formed with her bird. They were meant to be.

#Jan C Yes. I felt the same. There are alot more hawks than there used to be, and alot less squirrels because of it. Hawks have been known to grab and fly away with people's pet cats and small dogs. I can't imagine that horrible feeling losing a pet that way. My dogs are 12 lbs. and the other is 19 lbs. Even though I have a 5ft high fence, I never let them out by themselves since there are now so many large hawks. I've actually been out in the yard with my dogs and have seen hawks circling above us to the point where I pick up a stick and put a leash on my 12 lb girl. A hawks claws are so big and sharp and they can move in very quickly. I truly wish she wouldn't let them out flying free. Maybe her husband could build an outdoor aviary that is caged all around and at the top as well so they'd be much more safe. Our pets depend on us for their safety. Those parrots, especially Casper, is young and totally innocent and unaware of hawks and other dangers.

@@susanmurrell635 I saw a RU-vid video of someone going to a hawks nest and they found pet collars in it. You have to take in account hawks are scavengers, and some of those pets could have been hit by a car. Very scary though.

@@susanmurrell635 A hawk will wait watching its prey for hours for a opportunity. I saw that on a Believe it or Not type TV show..it was a small green parrot on his owners shoulder.. I really did not want to see that, I thought about it the whole night. I Cringe when I see people on youtube walking outside with their Parrots unattended, that's the first thing I think of.

This woman is amazing, I wanted to come on here and make a statement to those who watch this and think they should get a bird especially a cockatoo, all birds require A LOT of attention, they aren’t like dogs where when you first get them you can pet them and pick them up and all that, you have to build a trust first which can take several weeks or even months and then you can do all this fun stuff, not to mention parrots like cockatoos live forever, so make sure you’re ready to give them 60+ years, lastly cockatoos and known for being VERY moody lots of them are very affectionate but they also have the tendency to be a little w when things don’t go the way they want, watch videos on pages like bird tricks on cockatoos if you want to know more about these species of parrot she’s very knowledgeable

You ever worry about hawks outside? My friend had an African Grey that loved sit on a perch while he washed his car . But one day POW! No more bird. Not trying to be a downer but I would hate for that to happen.

I am one minute in and this bird is making me LAUGH...and I am a cat and dog and major animal person This is ridiculous funny. I did have a female friend back from high school....I won't say how long ago..LOL She had moved to Denver, CO for a spell. Her bird was Cooper - he followed me everywhere . I fell in in LOVE He chased me down hallways, danced for me, and even stole my house keys....That was not funny... I got to LAX and had no keys for car or house....what a stinker. I never knew I could love a parrot....til Coop. I saw this and fell in love all over. I am ridiculous when it comes to animals. And this? Oh my Lord..... I also had a friend who had two Cockatoos....Yours reminds me SO much of one of his. She was a riot....and a TOTAL handful. God bless you!!! And THANK you for putting this up. SOOOOOOOO made my day
