You can build such a place between $40k to $60k, I would rather build it myself taking loan and pay off the loan in first 5 years.

2:32 the company that builds the unit gets $900 a month for the next 15 years not including inflation. just build it yourself not to mention if you have to sell your house what the issues will be there and what's the buyout of the 15-year contract?

Some home owners could abuse this service. They could be 3 months into the renting agreement and fabricate a misconduct scenario by the renter, for example attacking the owner. Meaning, the home owner deciding to put renting of the garage turned office, to an end. And walk away with a free conversion to themselves!

I am certain if this happened the homeowner would need reRent to a new tenant...or buy out the builder for work they did to create the rental. This company knows what they are doing and most likely have covered their risk via contract law.

Densification.. Africa its called backyard dwellings and municipal services not designed to support burden/sewage/water supply/electricity. Such a wonderful idea but I 🤔wonder reality of pandemics changing cities perhaps wait and see. Wish you well🙏💕 PS. I also believe there is nothing as a free lunch. How can anything be 'free'. Labour? Time is money ain't it.? Who grew that tree /cut it down carted it? Let's think..

Not free at best it is a building loan paid monthly for 15 years. You partner with the company. They rent it out not you...they pick the renters who will live steps from your home...not you. If not rented at times those months will add to the 15 years you pay. Be very careful. Don't anyone jump in without knowing ALL the pros cons and risks.
