We have some good properties...its taken a while slowly staking ground. Anything in the sicker belts going to be ok, Port Hardy area has some good ground, same with zebellos, woss, sooke.... Right now with the covid extension everything is staked. I could spend 3 hours and no find a good claim worth looking at lol. Jan 1st 10am will be a free for all for good properties.

@@brady2809 yes they are basically all staked now I have a dozen claims out the Alberni way. I'd look at mapplace 2 and follow the EM anomolies, faults and geological features around existing minfiles. It's a learning curve but go were or in the vicinity mineral has been found before. 👍

Lots of deer, elk...the occasional bear. Last year we ran into 7 bears but usually just see one or two a year there pretty tame and run away as soon as they see you. The closest encounter was a time we parked out from an old mine and went in about 20 feet and realized we forgot a hammer we needed went back out and walked around the front of the truck and there was a bear that walked up the hill and we literally ran into each other. That was the fastest I have seen a bear run guess we both were surprised.

Just wondering how often do you crush the ore to extract free mill without mercury or anything like that or is the gold in the sulfides ?
@cacogenicist
@cacogenicist 3 года назад
I think it's mostly a prospecting operation, with a little fairly small-scale mining? So I would guess they don't mess with refractory sulphide gold ores. I'm picturing them only mining very high grade free milling gold, maybe with mostly gravity methods. If they find a high-tonnage/low-grade deposit, those claims get leased (however that works in Canada) or sold, one would assume.

Yes mostly exploration for ourselves and companies. We have only done small scale work a few times. It's more profitable to work with a better funded company. The have the means to do EM surveys, Drilling ect...

Nice looking samples! How do go about mining an area like this? I imagine you mightn’t be allowed to touch the creek bed itself? With so many veins, is it practical to chase them all individually? Would love a vid on how mining would be done on a claim like this. Cheers from Oz.
@911mining
@911mining 3 года назад
Well first is drilling. The actual major deposit connected to these smaller veins is probably deeper and more off to the right outside the creek following the fault...What we are seeing is small peripheral deposits as the main fault runs outside the creek slightly. Second engineers can make anything happen if they want to allow mining in areas... Third I'd say is how much money it will make. If it ain't profitable for the government it ain't happening. For instance canada just announced they are focusing and fast tracking exploration and mining permits on areas which mine certian minerals like rare earth's, nickel, copper ect.. used in stuff like electric vehicle batteries...ect..so yes if you have enough $$ and do what the government wants anything can happen for you. In reality it takes 10 years to get a permit to mine and even high grade deposits often get left unmined unless no permits required and it's done by hand. British Columbia is the headquarters for most junior mining companies but BC is also very strict on environmentally friendly issues...so to put things simple it may take years but that's why we try to get a junior in to fund/work with the expensive exploration/permits/mining.

You can't mine veins centimeters in diameter, doesn't matter what grades you have. You can't even mine meter scale veins - unless your grades are hella impressive. Good surface showing, promising stockwork type, but better hope trench/bulk samples show mineral continuity and drilling (if feasible) intersects thicker mineralized veins beneath. Although more often then not, claims like this get staked and lapsed because there isn't much else you can do without drilling. & when you do drill, if you don't hit anything in the first little bit you're done. Sure there's mineralization but it doesn't have any continuity and is sporadic. Sure put a couple more holes in it, if you get a JV interested. I like what you guys are doing. You're out there and looking. Sniffing around minfiles and claims that have lapsed. Hey maybe the guy infront of you missed something. But it's a tough business. Been watching some of your videos. Lots of metaseds (shists) hosting your sulfides. Intra-oceanic terranes upthrust onto each other. Definitely VMS potential but a lot of it looks like hydrothermal and disseminated, concentrating along fractures. May have to go deeper, what's feeding these systems. But then it becomes a $$$ issue. You need to put together a good story and pitch it to JVs.

This is on one of our larger properties we have right now. (1699 hectares) Has some larger past producers on the mountain and a lot of smaller workings pretty much everything is classified as kuroko-Noranda VMS. This fault on the creek runs for about 3km and hosts one of two ore bodies 600m long 30m wide and 20m deep with Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn in a barite gangue, second ore body is pretty much exactly the same size, same mineralization but in quartz. This videos about 1.2km away downslope and we have had junior interest. Spent about 5 days going through a hundred showings with a junior and there geologist. Most of them are just smaller surface showings but there's about 15 areas with really promising mineralization and 3 confirmed larger VMS deposits. One is 100m off this fault showing in the video and 300m below what's shown. Theres second is a high grade zinc deposit with grades averaging 10%-12% zinc and 1% copper, this sits at the top of a third deposit which actually overlies the high grade zinc deposit. The third deposit has a semi massive pyrite and minor chalcopyrite zone 100m wide and 1000m long average grades from analysis are 1.5% copper. Both these deposits sit dead center on a huge EM anomoly. All these need trenching and drilling for sure we also have a stringer zone 400m wide on the property with 10, 20, 30cm quartz veins with good grades of copper, silver, gold values in chalcopyrite. Lots of work to do on this property haven't even scratched the surface 👍
@Grigretro
@Grigretro 3 года назад
Two ore bodies with 600x30x20m is ~720,000 cubic meters of processable material, depending on your grades and recoveries, that doesn't give that much ore. But it's a start! Sounds like that large scale fault is mobilizing your fluids into possible secondary/tertiary fault/shear networks splaying off of the main fault system. Follow the fault along strike for more mineralization, which im sure you guys have done. The third deposit you talk about sounds interesting, you seem to be getting greater abundance of Pyrite and Chalcopyrite. Ie., your temps are getting higher and you're starting to vector towards higher Cu mineralization. In Kuroko style VMS you'll see zinc-lead-pyrite on the peripheries with Cu-rich towards the interior stockwork zone(s). How's the alteration look like. Propylitic/ chloritic yet? You definitely need to drill that EM anomaly. Any gravimetric surveys done in the area? Informative videos for sure. I get notifications from time to time and check out your channel. Good stuff. Keep up the work! Lots of work to be done. Too bad there was no Round Up this year.

BC is like western Washington and Oregon, except way more mineralized. Seems like they have a VMS deposit about every couple kilometers. :+) Think those must have developed in back-arc extension areas, and then were smashed up on the continent as the volcano island arcs accreted to the continental margin.
