Built on a 4500 sq.ft. area, this two-storeyed home in Chandigarh is inspired from the materials used during the inception of the city. The plot size allows for thoughtful zoning and landscaping, creating multiple outdoor spaces in front and in rear that connect with the interior. Additionally, the dimensions of the plot influence the massing and placement of the home to optimize privacy.
Taking into consideration the site’s attributes, the house has been created with spaces overlooking the central courtyard. While the rooms are designed thoughtfully, the entrance, dining space, family lobby and terrace create an inviting environment collectively and adds rhythm to the architecture.
