there is something strangely satisfying seeing an animal with discomfort getting fixed. thank you Nate the Hoof Guy. an honest days work by an honest caring man.
Yessss Yesssss 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 👌🏾 I thought I was the only one!!! I really like when he can get the pus out or when it start running out. I'm never thought of me being weird 😕 But that is definitely some weird shittt for real🤔🤔
you could really tell how she was expecting to walk out her first couple of steps with her head bobbing...then as she realized the comfort, stepping out. Great!
I don't know if I'm being crazy but the cow looked like she walked carefully at first and then when she realized her hoof was normal now, she went like "oh, noice"
You have probably watched a lot of these videos since writing this comment, and noticed that is a common thing for the cow to do after coming out of the rig. They will walk gingerly for a second and then realize The nagging problem they've been trying to deal with is gone.
I’m a retired large animal veterinarian and former dairy owner from Maryland. I love watching your channel. You do a marvelous job. Just marvelous. We didn’t have salicylic acid powder like you do for treatments. I’ve certainly seen more than my share of hairy strawberry dermatitis. It’s amazing how lame it can make cows. I much prefer your videos to The Hoof GP’s. Yours are straightforward without bad music and crazy shenanigans. Thank you for all you do to make dairy animals comfortable.
You are a great educator. Too many cattle folks throw away good cows when what they really need is YOU! This heifer might be headed for hamburger in time, but then again she could be a recip candidate if her only issue is her feet. I’m not advocating the retaining of bad stock, but your service can keep cows going for the long haul. Great work!
Also improving quality of life for a living animal whose hoof issues mostly come from human caused issues, like concrete, neglect, or improper practices. No animal deserves pain or infection so I love seeing this
I don't know how or why I've been watching lots of cow pedicures but it's been so satisfying, I can imagine how good they feel afterwards, like getting an ingrown nail fixed but x10000.
I really appreciate your thorough explanations. I don’t have cows, I don’t even have horses. But I love watching your channel and learning how animals are helped.
You really can see her feeling the relief. She fully expected that discomfort when she went to take her first few steps. Then suddenly you see her perk up and walk with confidence ❤️
You really carved that claw so expertly, Nate. She initially couldn’t even properly balance on that hoof. After you trimmed that claw, she appeared to be more balanced. There really is an art to trimming. You fixed her right up!
You can see how reluctant she is to put weight on that foot cause she’s got so used to not walking on it, but now that she can she trusts to walk on it again, such a smart girl, you did a beautiful job Nate!
I would REALLY appreciate a follow-up with this heifer in the future. It would be great to see if the limb can recover from this insult and fully regain normal form and function to allow the hoof to grow properly in the long term. This is something that I deal with in sheep, as well.
It makes me happy to see that you can bring so much comfort to these animals. I really enjoy watching these videos and seeing the infections run out knowing the instant relief these poor cows must feel. Then the care given by binding the wounds and the shoe put on thats so awesome.
I've just recently found your page and I cannot get enough of your videos!!! To see just how bad these animals hooves are and the magic you work on them to make them more comfortable is amazing!!! Thank you so much for all you do!!!
Wow Nate you are amazing! You are a guardian angel to all these cows. The way you care about them just blows me away! The way this cow came out proves how incredibly important you are to them & how perfect you are at your profession which I believe is more of a "CALLING" to you!
Nate, as a practitioner of manual medicine for 42 years, I appreciate your including biomechanics in your analyses. You are the only “hoof guy” that seems to take this into consideration. Propers!
I dont have cattle, I dont work around them, but there is just something about these hoof trims that keep me entertained. Good stuff for those in the biz.
Didn't even know what a hoof was, until I bumped into this vid, it's amazing seeing ppl function in their God given gifts! New subscriber here! Love this labour of love!
I never thought I’d see the day that I was interested in watching somebody cut a poo packed cow claw. BUT, I have watched every single one of your videos tonight AND become a subscriber lol! I think it’s because you’re such a good teacher and I have a very curious mind.
She looked a little surprised at her left foot when she walked her first steps, then when she was sure the discomfort was gone she sped up her pace. Always nice when the customer is satisfied.
Really appreciate how you do not charge in aggressively but patiently bring the hoof back to prime. And plan out for the future too in order to keep her balanced.
I was watching beauty videos and this am up as something I might be interested in. My husband and I watched this while making breakfast! Fascinating! Thank you
Thank You for caring for these innocent creatures. They depend on us so our care has great meaning, even if that work does not translate into greatness for us ourselves.
I was a bit worried at first about the pink area you uncovered at first after the grinder Nate, but you of course knew what you were doing. I learn something new in every video!
I find your videos quite mesmerizing. I have no particular interest in farming, but it's great to see the animals walk off so much better after treatment. Who'd have thought cow chiropidy could be so interesting. Great job.
I love Nate so happy I found this channel. Great guy very gentle and your voice is so calming. She had a lil sas in her step when she realized she can walk.
As always, the first couple of steps were tentative, then she realised the discomfort was gone. I thought "I bet that redness in the toe horn isn't separation." Your videos have been teaching me the ways 😊
I love watching you take care of these beautiful cows you really are amazing at knowing what to do how deep to cut what they need iam so happy to know this only helps them out of pain and no hurting I've learned so much it's so interesting thanks again hun 😊❤
Just found you and im binge watching your videos!!! Her walk at the end made her look so fancy. I have a mini pig and he always looks like he's walking in high heels. But this girl really had a high heel strut going. Love your channel! I'm from Philly PA so I've never been close to a cow. Recently moved to farm country and I am excited every single time I see a cow.
hello nate! i just wanted to say that your videos are lovely! you sound so genuine and pure and the way you take care of the cows is absolutely fantastic! I'm thankful people like you still exist so keep up the amazing work and keep being a wonderful person!! love from italy!❤
You truly have a great way in explaining the whole process and I honestly give you a big compliment! 👌 She most likely also has to adept post-trimming with her entire leg because she probably didn't walk straight too I would imagine..
This was amazing as usual. I do wish I could have seen the first part of the procedure where you cut the initially cut the elongated tip of the hoof off. That would have been very satifying.
Dear Nate - I am always looking forward to your very interesting videos, and you are a true expert in explaining what you do and why. I hope the wonderful cows appreciate the wonderful job you are always doing for them. Thank you so much here from Copenhagen, Denmark.
Wow amazing. Definitely a happy cow! Your knowledge and skills are amazing! Very interesting! Well commentated. Enjoyed watching her walk a few more steps to see how well the trim you gave her worked. 😎💪👍🐄🐄🥰
