Unless you have insane gear and enough divs to buy your foot in the door this strategy wasn't helping you anyways. This strategy was clearly only a thing for the rich getting richer since you already had to have gear worth 100's divs to start especially solo.
Personal opinion: new scarabs are hot garbage. If you don't use them in the ideal way, you just waste your time and currency. The gap between 'normal' content farmen (ie blueprints, or logbooks) and super juicing scarabs is so absurdly large, that everything in trade just makes no sense. This league got some really good QOL, but I just lost every motivation to play it. That is after I farmed >600div. So I'm not poor and can afford nearly every build, but you just have to stay in the loop, or you fall way behind the economy. If this stays the same next league, I will for the first time in years, not play POE.
This is the biggest thing no one is really noticing. If you aren't targeting farming you get nothing or you target farm and get more than anyone else is getting even super juicing maps. But heres the problem. They're going to nerf everything into the ground and then delete the graveyard and all allflames but a few. But the anchor for loot is set. They just added the kalandra league loot nerfs with no friction. So next league when scarabs drops are nerfed to 33% and you need to spend 10 minutes trading before touching a map or you lose money it's going to be worse.

Like I would rather farm my own thing slower and have fun, why do I have to look at the other guy, always? Its just such a stupid community idea thats been present since forever. Also logbooks are legit cheap and yield so much money, people dont care ab them nor Tujen. And you make bank off of it.
@@GE_Photon_Lord I'm playing video games for a long time. Be it WoW, or Arpgs. I had multiple gold caped chars in WoW. Knowing how the economy works, is not as hard as many people think. That being said, I'm not complaining, because I cannot get currency for my gear. I'm complaining, because I see how this farming model will kill POE in the long run, as it widens the gap between player like myself and the 98% of the playerbase, that don't network to stay ahead of the curve. With the graveyard gone next league, SSF is way worse for player w/o a great understanding for target farming specific items and crafting. The 3.24 scarab system is poison for the vast majority of POE player and thus the game.
@@Shallaan It literally had the same problem as this league where half the player base was playing tornado shot because of MF. It had even a higher base of entry since you needed full mf gear very well rolled and good gear to get around the juiced map.
They could also allow only a single allflame of the same type to be used to be used per map. Corpse crafting seems to have tanked the value of essences too. I spent the weekend casually farming essences and ended up with an essence tab that was less valuable on Sunday than it was on Friday, and still had to mark it down to 85% to sell it.
Got my headhunter for 24 divine! I'm loving the economy. I'm usually poor as hell, but this league I have been the richest I have ever been! If you are struggling to afford gear, craft with Necropolis. No one is talking about how good it is.
@Big Ducks i double checked after this strat blew up in league.... At launch I had opened up like 19k scarabs in Standard. 12 of them were the Curation -- so yeah, they're pretty damn rare. Almost 1 every 2,000
and its nerfed already. The problem is now the people that abused this strategy are even richer because no one can generate even close to this amount of currency anymore.
I dont find these things to be bad at all. the economy isnt a real economy. im not paying rent or things the loot enables me to play the game and have fun. vs barely getting good loot then working much harder to have the same fun, because lets be honest people are still playing, and the items are out there for people to trade, and craft. the only difference is things are much cheaper and accessible. Now I wouldnt want this in every league, but right now the game feels good to play.
Yeah ngl, the game is so fun to play rn. And it doesnt matter what content you do, profit/h is such a stupid concept. I play expedition and no one cares ab it rn, that means I get free stuff and make bank. No one cares if its a slower grind than farming div cards, as long as you have fun (plus obviously you apply what you learn to the next league).
T17s should be unrolled as a baseline, just regular maps. They drop one splinter on normal difficulty, increased difficulty with modifiers makes multiple fragments drop.

@@TristianTee This does affect the economy one person making 1+ mirror per map can massively inflate the economy and the more that people do it the worse it gets. It's like giving everyone in America 10 million overnight you make everything cost way more.
@@NerdB2 If you wanna specifically target farm that one scarab, you can block every possible league mechanic on the atlas (blocking their respectful scarab drops as well), while fully speccing into scarab drop chance (dont spec any of the increased drop chance for specific scarabs as there are non for div card scarabs). And then proceed with the usual stuff like killing as many monsters, with as much quant on the map, and on the build, as you can fit.
I did some thinking about how ggg can fix the issues with the current meta without angering people by nerfing the scarabs and the allflames. I would restrict t17 maps from being modified by anything other than chaos. This would include scarabs. This would deter farmers from being able to use t17 maps for their bis map of choice since they wouldn't be able to juice it. This would drop the price of t17 maps reducing barrier to entry to just needing a really strong build without the risk of loosing profit per map.
Honestly I feel like they need to change how scarabs work on the high end and make it a more mid to end game boost for juicing and make something new so they can re-balance power and drop rate. I feel like even higher end scarabs should be way more common and some of the craziest boosts should not be on scarabs that way they can be way more common. T17s are an issue and still are I think for most players even now. But I feel like gear did not get much better. But from what I understand gear iLevel essentially caps at 85 (is that still the case?) so having an iLevel 95 item doesn't matter and I don't believe there are any powerful new bases that high up either right? So we are kind of in this weird area where you need superior gear that is not exactly easy to get but without a particular step stone gear to get to that point, then you add in the fact that most good farming and gear is from these harder maps and pretty much need to be juiced and those boosting items are rare(or rarer then they should be) and it just creates this rich get richer effect. Which I mean I am fine with that. I don't want PoE to end up like D4 (which is becoming more like D3 every day) where I get to 100 in 5 hours and fall asleep playing because they handed me a full set gear which makes me unkillable... but I usually get 4 characters or so to 95-98 before I get bored in a league and usually do okay currency wise even in SSF. But there are a number of bosses I have not been able to beat, or have the currency or access to items some players do. And I get it, life aint fair, but sometimes it is just discouraging.
I knew it, i shoulda gone SSF this league, where everything kinda has a purpose.....this trade-league just got very boring. Trading for corpses is like Crucible 2.0.
The main issue is the div cards that are farmed in the strat give other league mechanic "exclusive" items. Adorned fragments = deep delve no longer that profitable, nimis = farming eater not that profitable. Affliction was better than this, bcuz you only could farm basic currency and uniques. And mfers flooded the market with valdo's boxes so that really strong builds(my personal target every league is to make one) have a profitable thing to farm. Now if you have a strong build w/o a HH you will never make more than an mfer. My point is: juicing with allflames is fine: it will only last for a league. Div card scarab is not fine. Even without allflames and t17s Emperyan's party was able to farm more currency than in affliction league
The game is for streamers and build creators. The economy revolves around them and only takes place within their economy. The other 99% "aspire" for these things. That gap really fucking wide. Imo, and I grind, I don't see a fraction of a league as most these folks making vids.... Steamer game....
I think if GGG tries to ''fix'' this now, it'll impact everyone who's already missing out even more. It'll reinflate the expensive stuff and the fringe content that could still steadily generate currency will take a hit cause, while this method is printing raw divs, uniques and scarabs, there're still things that aren't being printed that are still profitable. Honestly, GGG shouldn't move on this one. I'm not even doing this method, I'm not advocating it. I just know there'll be worse ripple effects if they try to ''fix'' it hastily with a bandaid. Think we gotta just accept that the economy for this league is just a bit weird and busted (remember heist?) and if you're having fun, that's cool - if not,honestly it does suck and I do empathize with it. But I'd say, you don't need to accept the fomo. I missed out on the div frogs. And honestly, I'm probably gonna miss out on this cause while my build is strong, it's an all rounder and not catered to that level of juicing. I'll still steadily be able to afford what I want and farm what I want. But I do get, how for some, it's overly upsetting seeing the market get blown wide open this way. I'm just not confident that they can fix it and not potentially break the league in an even worse way.
I guess the real game is, grinding away and flexing your HUGE div/hour. To gear your char to kill pinacle bosses that you can kill in a few days in scrubcore with 6 portals. Mmmk.
Breaking more than the economy. They're causing server lag with these maps they're running, making other players experience 3000 latency and the game to be unplayable. I'm actually done with the league until it gets sorted. I can't even fuckin' delve rn because my character just cyclones against a wall until it dies to darkness.
Mam I have a question but maybe I'm stupid or crazy but let's assume something, let's say this scarab of curation doesn't exist, with so low drop change doesn't exist anyway, so my question, I was farming some time now, not exactly scarabs but I have the nodes in the atlas, is this even worth it? I think I sold two 200 chaos scarabs and horded the rest and my whole tab is worth like 5 divines. I think I will take unwavering vision and just don't take scarabs, they are not worth it in my opinion.
Most people barely reach red maps. Let alone farm pinnacle bosses, of that percentage even fewer successfully farm the uber version. I don't think the t17 maps are an issue considering a vast majority of the player base just sell their pinnacle boss fights anyways. There's no shot that people who don't know how to run s build to the point of farming uber bosses in past leagues are comparing about the difficulty of t17 maps, it's meant to be a stepping stone in the sense that if you're consistently able to beat enough to get full uber fights then you should be fine in the fight itself. T17 should not be easy enough for people to farm an uber fight and sell it for even profit without being able to complete it. Casuals will always be mad at the wealth gap but either don't have the time to save enough currency or the brain capacity toestablish a build good enough to bridge the gap. It's that simple, as a casual player i know how to make hundreds of divines per league and craft pretty damn gear but i also realize 90% of players can't and just want to complain about how the rich get richer
Honestly worst part about all of this as an average to slow player. I get to see all this hype and awesome drops, and never get to act on any of it. I don't blame the players taking advantage of it, but just furthers the mindset exploit early and often. Or get left behind. I feel like I am just mapping hoping I get lucky, where these players are out here making their own luck. 😅
I love when this happens, because other farming metods become forgotten and you get so much profit from said mechanic while investing nothing lol. And also whats the point of nerfing this? Rich people get rich, nothing new and 99% of the playerbase gets literally free lot, its a win win. Not to mention dirt cheap HH, thats a win too. So I dont get it.
Right so the streamers that exploit these to farm RU-vid views, and then complain the economy in game is in shambles… I bet their RU-vid economy isn’t ! Then they nerf it to the ground and casual or new comers will pay the price.
Last league was spitting out just as much currency, and the entry level was much much lower lol. I don't understand how this is a problem. Every league has a strategy that's high investment high reward, this is no different
Your point about not being sure how to make money about this or if you don't have the money already you just won't isn't true.... I'm level 91 I have not completed my atlas on my Nova arc mage.... I've made over 400 divines selling allflames and scarabs.. my character is not capable of running the strategy due to its power level being way too low but I do have a headhunter and enough currency to enjoy nearly any build I want.... I get it it is tanking prices of items like headhunter or mage blood or other things... But it's also making the barrier to entrance for these items so low that very casual player like myself who only puts in a few hours here and there has been able to really enjoy League. I'm sure it's not good but it's a throwaway league at this point and I'm having fun.
I have just specc’ed into that atlas, in the hope that i could play a toned down version of the map. But its crap. And this video alone, has made me decide to sack off this league and play something else. My DD build doesn’t stand a chance 😂
I would appreciate ggg coming in for another massive patch to the league just to get things going better. A league is a league for testing the brand new content. If stuff is clearly over tuned or under tuned with a clear look please don't be hesitant to cut it bad by a bit. I would go as far as suggesting to do a hot fix for the t17 maps and disable the divination scarab. The scarab isnclearly breaking metas and needs to be cut before too much more damage is done.
I would say main reason dying sun went up so much is because it's a shit boss with multiple phases. Just takes a long time to clear just once and the proceed with your day. Most people would rather not go through that. Now if they reworked shaper fight to be considerably shorter with those stupid in between transitions to be deleted the. I think people might wana do it. But rate for flask still Needs to be raised a bit.
Listening to the streamers say how bad this all is(and last league) is how i feel every normal league priced out of things and builds, but last league played my longest ever and most builds because of these broken things. Now dont get me wrong this strat is way out of what i can afford but things that make cool builds are easier and cheaper to get and was last league. Last league my friend thats bad at the game was having a blast doing blight and getting 7d for his tainted oils and was able to try armor stacker. So im sure things here will do the same.
I have started all over in SSF for the first time because of the economy I’m just done it was that or quit the league tbh for me personally. All the fun has drained in trade in record amounts of time.

And GGG hasn’t say anything about it the good thing is that I was able to get my headhunter and my mageblood which is the only two things I always want to have in the game after that I’m done every league.
I simply do not understand the complaints with players getting items. It seems that the people who complain most are people sad that someone other then them has access to items. It is like some kind of weird itemization gatekeeping.
I'm not suprised about current state of economy after this kind of changes they did. Kinda expected, 4 months is not enough to do and test all of this. Funny thing, I'm ok with this chaos around it. I'm just doing my thing, playing game, enjoying league. Probably gonna make one more build, play for 1-2 weeks than drop and will wait for next league. GGG will have their time to fix and balance things. I can see a lot of hate, but I think it's good to talk about it and there is no need to overcomplicate things :)
Exactly also lot of farming strats are not viable now bcs of league mech like expedition is easier to farm with allflames than exepdition itself etc...

@@marioharrer9999 If u only farm allflames for expe and focus on a complete diferent strategy you are not getting much out of allflames (like you dont snowball those artifacts). Meanwhile when you actually dedicate your time for this mechanic, then you can truly stack tons of artifacts and get rerolls going. Its the same thing as me farming expe and randomly doing allflames for breach, like thats just dumb honestly. So in short: Allflames dont give you as much as the original fully spec-ed mechanic would give you and the original mechanics are getting much better when paired with allflames. And you said the original mechanics are trash now, like what.
Some scarabs being so good and others being so trash has just made league mechanics worthless. Breach? Expedition? Legion? Heist? Worthless.. and HARVEST! Pffft, why does harvest even exist in the game at this point? The scarabs are trash
That's how most things work it's rare to see every thing be good since the more common of anything that drops that has little to no use is not going to be worth even 1 div.
I did find some Divination Scarabs of Curation, I think it were three in total. The first was in week 1 and sold for a few Divines, the other two were in the last couple of days and I sold both like 24 hours ago for 20 Divine each and now I am pretty sad.

Didn't you contradict yourself at the start of the video? If only 1% of the player base can do it, why would it get nerfed? Seems to me like just as in real life, a few rich pricks get to become even richer, while the rest of us suffer? So... Last league everyone made a fulcrum build and farmed juiced wisp maps where you could get 130 divine from a single monster, and it didn't get nerfed, why would they change this league?
i thought this league would be fun with the scarabs changes but now that its started, im just not using them and they are just pilling up in the frag tab. This league really pulls no interest from me, its just an overtuned league for the 0.1% to have it all. All the builds i tried so far are not really working and i just cant seem to generate currency, like at all. i got almost 4 days of /played and under 15 divines. The scarabs in theory were a good idea but in practice, they just put the wealth in rich's hands. its like when you find a mirror, if you are poor you will sell it to others instead of use it and when your rich, your probably gonna use a ton to make your build even more op. scarabs would be more fun to use if they were bound to account. Also not having kirac missions reliably is a pain to get your atlas done, im still just in t10 maps and strugling to find higher tier maps
I feel like just under 15 D is pretty damn good for barely getting through t10 maps, and should be enough to fund at least one decent build to t16. Leveling and atlas progression is annoying this league, and I completely agree that the rich are only getting richer with this league and anyone that didn't rush at league start is left in the dust. Account bound Scarabs is a wild take, but I'm actually interested.
I'm probably gonna have to buy a T17 carry, I reckon. I can do regular maven in under a minute but I can't even dent T17 whites, for some reason, at least not before they kill me. I'm very confident I could do ubers, but I can't manage to get there.
This all goes back to what is, in my opinion, the most toxic aspect of POE- the urgency to take two weeks off your job at league start to gain an advantage for currency and content. There’s a lot of us still working on our first or second characters now. We’ve had some fun with the league. But now if we want to try and get a build to its full potential, sorry, the cost of entry into a strategy that enables you to afford the items you need is out of reach.
And now you understand why everyone was saying POE would change when tencent bought them. Chinese companies and games see nothing wrong with making a game into your job. And thats exactly whats happened.
Pretty much a league meant for a twelve hour a day player. It's a bit frustrating going to work in the morning and coming home to play and in that time the strategy shifted five times and one patch was deployed. And the best strategies heavily rely on buying stuff like scarabs and corpses. Wasn't the sextant change made to simplify mapping? Now it takes even longer to setup and calculate. Last league I had worthwhile things to sell: lots of essences, replicas to sell, a fulcrum from a void cache. This league nothing in my inventory aside from the equipment is worth more than 10c. Compared to Sanctum, ToTa and Affliction there's nothing interesting to do and explore as league content only shifting mobs and clicking corpses that's the whole league mechanic.
