@@SpeakerWiggin49 Same but I usually say "good game" when I know I'm going to lose. I think that sometimes makes my opponent think I have some sneaky plan, but really I'm conceding and I just want them to say it back before I hit the button.

@@cole3823 You give them weak creatures with something like Forbidden Orchard, then you nuke them away with your commander to draw cards. Daryl, Hunter of Walkers is another commander that's built to utilize a similar strategy

There won't be one.

Chances of messing up if you're not in full control are much greater, not worth it imo. We still need to activate before the spell resoles, at which point they can still decide to counter. So it doesn't really change the outcome, while requiring more effort on our part.

Seems like they provided some good blocking and the extra point of damage 2 or 3 times likely made the difference between opponent getting another turn and stabilizing, so I think they still played a solid part in the deck.

They're quite good with Warfare out, won us the game vs Golgari where no other red 2-drop would've.

Their ability is also boosted by Taii Wakeen’s ability, as is Kumanos. You can push a lot of damage with them while playing defense. For example, if you have one flame breather, Taii, and four mana you can push eight damage to the face with a single Kumano (Taii pumps three, cast Kumano, two pings for four each).

Slickshot plays better in a deck with more cantrips or pump spells. Hopefully the games can show why it wouldn't be a great fit.

Since you already want to be running Warfare to go with the 1 mana sweepers, aggro makes more sense.

I've been trying this out and having 0 luck like just destroyed every game cause it runs out of gas so fast a single removal spell counters this deck so hard, changed it to be more a typical burn deck with some urabrask and having better luck

Seems like sideboard material at best.

@@LegenVD I know it’s a different effect and the idea is to try a new card, I just prefer killing opponents’ creatures while simultaneously shooting them in the face. Lightning helix is a good reason to add white though admittedly

@@Big_Dai you’re removing creatures so you can go face, thus the extra steps. Deck also seems like “fair magic” which doesn’t feel very good in the OTJ meta

@@kylekelley2419 sure, this is the first draft i made, i played him probably 10 or so games with 100% win rate. havent lossed to be able to say which card shouldnt be in there. im not saying this to brag, but to express the feeling that he is very anti social, if your opponent is doing anything mildly fun, they wont be having it. they need to be doing some broken combo thing that they can do in 1 turn, cause nothing sticks. i did not match up vs anyone who was doing broke things it seems. or they were too slow to achieve it. it kinda made me feel like i shouldnt be playing the commander. basically the play pattern i adopt is just play tai waikeen always, even if removed, and hit them in the face for 2 while we play lands. if they ever play a minion or minions, there is practically 0 chance it sticks and that i dont draw a card, once you have enough mana and youve chipped them for 2 a bunch, they are 1 spell away from death with Tai's activation. for example, you play tai on 2, hit them for 2 each turn, and on turn 5 they have 19 health left, with 5 mana you can deal 10 damage with shock and play with fire in hand and activating tai for 3. the extent of the reach with this commander is pretty strong, makes it easy to hold your reach and calculate which exact round they are dieing, and which resource to conserve for control or survival. you basically always have cards in hand. its pretty terrible vs stuff that doesn't play creatures though ran into a few super friendy decks playing brawl where they run nothing but ramp, control, and planeswalkers additionally also absolutely garbage against tokens, go wide, etc. as you really have no sweepers outside of like 3 cards?

Compared to most other titles they're quite tame in my opinion. The job of a title and thumbnail is to be intriguing and get the viewer interested. I would rather spend more time making cool decks, but unfortunately it's part of surviving on this platform.
