I like how the reactions to the wretched batch are like 15-20 minutes and the episode where Ahs**a appears is an HOUR. One way or another, this episode is so criminally not funny (if what I defined as attempts to joke and were attempts to joke because I’m not sure) That if you turn on this episode in the hospital ward of paralyzed people, then they will get out of bed to turn it off and then beat them up whoever turned it on

Ahsoka left the order when they offered her the rank of Jedi Knight because she realized she couldn't abused Anakin anymore.

I wish I could say I watched this episode thinking it was brilliant, but... *sigh* Almost everything which was said by these characters screamed "contradiction", and I was tempted to drop the arc altogether... I wish I did, because this nonsense happened in the entire arc, and I couldn't stand it. 😭 And here's a quick piece of important info: This was all the way back when I adored this show... I'm glad I was smart enough to know how nonsensical this was, even when I didn't realize how bad the series as a whole was.

Wow, I'm so glad you're getting into the best arc of the entire series!

Some thoughts I had while watching: (If no comments, just assume that i agree completely and didn't have anything to add.) I unironically think the droid arc is better. If for no other reason that I legitimately did like the part about the amnesiac Clone Commando. Yup, they offered Ahsoka knighthood. Pretty much the only life goal we'd ever been given for her. Why did Ahsoka even need the hover bike? Coruscant had an extensive public transport system and she could have used that unless she was a delivery girl. Star Wars: 1313 was also the name of the cancelled LucasArts Boba Fett game, which Disney cancelled because they couldn't have good EU material still coming out as competition. This was cancelled years before S7, and i think the game was announced before S5. (Though the part about the nameless bounty hunter being Boba Fett was never revealed until after it was cancelled.) Filoni lacks the creativity to even come up with his own level of Coruscant. There were SO many missed opportunities here, it hurts. It would have been such a good idea to have a full episode of Ahsoka trying and struggling to find her way in a world she knew nothing about, without any of the support the Republic gives to the Jedi so they can focus on more important affairs. It would have been a great way to humble her and have to face consequences for her rash decision. And then she could have met Trace at the very end of the episode, leading into a better arc. In the EU, the Sith from Darth Bane through Palpatine were spreading anti-Jedi propaganda through the Holonet, just like how real-life people get radicalized online. But _even then,_ the people on Coruscant were so isolated from the effects of the Clone Wars, that there was overwhelming support for both Palpatine and the war effort. But there's *no way* that Filoni knew that, both because it would require him to respect someone else's ideas but he'd have had to _read a book._ And I'm not convinced he's ever read a book. Of course Coruscant had its own security force for policing and investigating crime. TCW even had an arc where we had to deal with an inspector! And if there aren't enough Jedi in the whole galaxy to handle public safety for over a trillion sapient beings.... Of course Filoni's writing is full of stupid people. "Write what you know" is the only writing advice he can follow. 😂 Great examples of kick-ass female characters. The first one that came to my mind was Black Widow / Natasha Romanov. While it doesn't make sense, i bet she did mean the battle droids. Painful dialogue is painful.

This show is such superficial writing in every aspect. I can’t even believe George let them do this. At least, even with their faults, his movies have substance.

23:20 I think the justification for this writing is because it’s guilt by association. By making themselves the generals, the Jedi become the face of the Republic and thus the first group people will blame. People being quick to blame someone else and such. Also the fact that they were kinda detached from the common people and out of touch with what was happening outside the war

Dang! I had no idea how I never noticed how terrible the dialogue was on my first watch. I first watched season 7 when I didn’t know how bad the quality of TCW was. Or anything Dave Filoni has done. Unlike 4 years ago, I am obsessed with messages, dialogue, lyrics, etc more than ever. Which makes this experience more unbearable. And I’m just thinking “I MUST FIX IT, LET ME FIX THIS CRAP!!” But nope. This is unfortunately gonna be on Star Wars track record permanently…
