When a machine can pump out flawless products without sweating, it's a REAL asset to a business. Congrats dude, can't wait to see what else you make with Little Jimmy™
I started my embroidery journey about a year ago on a Tajima single head. And now i'm happy to say that i can run a 6 head machine and loving it. Super stoked for you Lee.
I just finished my first 100 plus cap order yesterday on my Tajima TMBR and it handled it so smoothly. Not one single thread break or needle break throughout the whole job. Tajima’s are beast machines.
The machine is nice, I run a 6 Barudan and a 4 head SWF, and I can tell the difference between the two also. I did notice the two designs are digitized different though. The blue ones text is digitized a hair wider and the fill stitch is at a different angle, the yellow one has more density to the fill stitch too which looks way better that way imo.
I agree as an experienced digitizer I can tell the tatami on the blue design doesn’t have underlay and has less density, the yellow one has a pattern , also the angle of the stitching is different, so they are not the same design . But I agree the Tajima makes good work .
I bought the TMEZ because I wanted the position alignment system (PAS). That feature sold me. The SWF is a fine machine. It now has everything including automatic tension that the TMEZ has. I talked with the manager at the head office and asked how well it sewed 60 weight thread. He had never tested that but he ordered the needle and thread and emailed a picture. The local sales representative had me visit with the owner of an embroidery business which had a 4 head and the newest single head SWF that I was considering. I actually liked the display better but I like to be as exact as possible with placement. Only a camera, which is in some home embroidery machines, can top the PAS. Oh, I think a company did come up with a camera as an add on.
A laser head will take it to the next level, have always had a thing for appliques and Tajima have them as add ons even for their single head machines. Not to mention multiple single heads can be daisy chained something have seen quite a number of print shops adopting instead of those super bulky multiple heads machines.
I'm backwards 😂😂 I have perfected my embroidery so much I meed to upgrade to a multi head, DTF printing going crazy and now I want to add screen printing as people are now coming back to it again!!! Your Chanel is a God sent!
Just got my tajima tmez last week! starting my embroidery trip! thanks for the Inspiration! Also do digizing Service for my customers hoop to buy another one soon!
She’s beautiful! I’m so going to get this one. One thing that definitely does worry me is finding someone who knows how to digitize I don’t have the time to practice digitizing.
I was talking to my embroidery guy and he said he didn’t have any faith in the ITM technology he said try embroidering on leathers and other of that sort. I hope he’s wrong because I’m about to drop the $31k… what do you think?
I remember seeing monster embroidery machines in that building that was at the base of the Disraeli, can’t remember the name but it also had that huge mural around the building. I design apparel and so on. A couple of people you know from Cona recommended your channel, nifty stuff.
@@leestuart38 would be very interested in seeing the differences and end results. Maybe create a few stress test designs with design features that test the digitisers to the max? Would also be something you could keep and refer to as a reference piece to find the limit of what your machine is capable of producing - kind of a step wedge exposure test, but for embroidery! Glad to see you've got yourself a quality embroidery machine that can deliver - your whole shop has really come together recently. Congrats Lee
@@jailblazinignition has gone down hill the last few years. If you send out for revisions, they don’t communicate at all, then end up sending the same crap over and over. Plus they’re overpriced even before their new price hikes. We use Digitizing Ninjas, super fast and cheap and will actually rework a design if the sewout is crap. All of these digitizers are running through software now, so it’s all about who gives the best CS.
Congrats Lee! Another piece added to your arsenal of making things...More power to you brother. May you continue to inspire those who subscribe and even those that hate on what you are doing. Be blessed!
I teach high school graphic design and I've been looking into adding an embroidering machine to my classroom to give my students another method to output (and sell) their design work. I've already got a screen printing machine, heat presses, printers, and more in my class. I'll be using your videos in my discussion about what it means to be an entrepreneur and to demonstrate what's possible. Thanks.
I love digitizing artwork for embroidery. I hate my single needle 4”x4” machine. Changing threads for every color. I would gladly take that machine sitting in the corner
I have Toyotas and I need to upgrade. They work great but they won’t last forever. I think you’ve helped me make a huge decision. Thanks from the Virgin Islands. 🇻🇮 P. S. I will cry when those machines are gone. They were made by Tajima and they are built to last. Ours are between 15 and 20 years.
May we also throw our hat in with the Happys ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a5fURbzNVnI.html 7, 12 and 15 needle models available. 100% Made in Japan
You didn't really got any issues with the gold on such a density design if this is true the machine is a beast. The most complicated thread on one of the most challenging items and no issues this is amazing. I'm looking to get me one, but I now they expensive but also worth the money. It's a Rolls Royce under the embroidery machines. Congratulations, on the machine, you will love it.
Zero issues with the metallic on that one. I have the odd thread break with metallic but it's only when it comes off the spool in a knot, so that's not the machines issue. Trying to figure out how to eliminate that.
@@leestuart38 That is the major issue with metallic thread, you get this knots because how the thread comes from the spool, the thread wind's around his self. There are thread stands that spins around how the thread goes from the spool and therewith less knots and less thread breaks.
Hahaha, we are pushing our Melco EMT16x out the door....replaced it with a Barudan Pro3. I gave Melco an honest 3-year trial and it failed miserably at hats. I met with Hirsh to buy a Tajima but all they handed me was an invoice for $30k and didn't try to sell the machine at all to me.
@@leestuart38 you can tell from the stitching that it’s not being digitized correctly for the machine. I know a ton of people with Melcos that do much more detailed designs no problem.
@@bhutch216 funny you think that, because it was their own in-house digitizer that did it 😂. I've talked to hundreds that have made the same change, every single one was shocked at how much better it is with a good machine.
The Melco file seems like the density of the black circle is too low. Also a bit of registration problem. Black circle to wide. But the font on the melco looks good, equal to Tajima, in my opinion the font on the melco is a bit better in vertical lines. Look at the letter O and E, there on the Tajima ist not a clear, exact line…
@@leestuart38 I’m not saying Tajima isn’t the better machine but that file is really a simple sew out and it’s just not done correctly. The Tajima isn’t right either with all the gaps in the text fill
@@leestuart38 i wish i could but need it so people can do their payments, when they finished playing paintball, i promish to watch it multiple times (like i always do 😁)
Hello, my brother. I am from Iraq. I didn't understand the video well due to the language difference. I want you to advise me on the best five machines that can be purchased.
Well you can never go wrong with a Tajima/Barudan with Tajima being the most popular of the two worldwide. Those are the Cadillacs of embroidery machines.
I have a brother entrepreneur. The hat hoop is really not great for the brother machine. It's a very small field for embroidery and I think I paid 800 for the hoop and driver.
As some one who is trying to get into the Embroidery space - can you kindly share how much does a machine like this cost? or how much you spent? I am on the fence between Melco, Ricoma and Tajima. One of the deciding factors is the cost of entry. thanks
@@leestuart38 We're big enough that they were shipped pre-built. So it was roll in, plug in, and go. 6-head and a 1-head. So many hats and hoodies lol.
@@leestuart38 how did you learn to use the machine? We just got ours but I am intimidated by it. our technician was only at our site for few hours and that was making sure the machine was in good working order. not much training.
I have the Tatami SAI, (8 needles) and it stitches wonderful. I never have to change the tension except on 12 weight thread. Hats come out great too. This brand is excellent on very small letters. I'm a small home business but I have done up to 49 hat which I used both 40 & 60 weight thread, without one thread break. I am really thinking of getting the TMEZ to get a larger embroidery field. SWF just came out with an auto tension and pressure foot too. So on paper, looks like the TMEZ only advantage is the position alignment feature which will cost me an extra 10K. I'm gonna check on the stitch quality of the new SWF next. Anyone have SWF KXT 1501model?
Have a 17 year old happy used to have 4 head Tajima... Tajima for hats all the way. I am looking new machines deciding between Tajima Happy or Melco. Tajima is like $10k more for similar features of Happy.
Whatever you do, don't go melco. The two best machines on the market today are Tajima and Barudan, nothing else really compares. The cost of entry is high but it's 100% worth it
This is about to be my next machine. I have a ricoma tc1501-7s it's OK but not the best. As I have embroidered with the best and I have some issues with it in caps.
I would love a machine like that, sadly I don't have the funds or space for one LOL so I shall have to just continue with my single needle home embroidery machine.
cannot find the price of this machine anywhere, only that it's very expensive. If it's more expensive (you probably got it from Tajima for a discount because of the review? Maybe even for free?) you would expect a higher quality. But what is the price normal people would have to pay?
Is this machine still running smooth. I had the same kind of issues you was having with the machines I bought. I wanted to get this one but wanted to know if you are still impressed after 6 months of running.
You should have given us updates on your problems with the Melco, I just bought 3 of them influenced by you. my advice is release updates on your equipment when your having issues.
Your melcos are going to be just fine. Do the required maintenance and find a reliable digitizer and nobody will be able to tell what machine did your sewout. I’ve found melcos need a little love when it comes to bobbin tension. My trainer’s machines ran around 250grams, mine runs flats at 350g and hats at 400g.
