Watch Cecil at the finales of s1 and s2 shpws how much he cares about Debbie. She was there when Omni man called her a pet, he was there to help fix their house, he was there to comfort mark and he was there after levy left. He might be the only consistent father figure for mark other than nolan
I love his character because you can see he is a kind hearted man but his responsibilities to the world/America are too important for simple black and white morality.
Not only is Season 3 confirmed, it has been worked on since last year and the they’re aiming to have it out by Nov 2024- April 2025! And Kirkman has said their goal from here on out is one season a year!!!
As someone who has read the comics and who's favorite villain is Angstrom, I agree this finale was perfect. The whole fight was more or less a one to one exact adaption of the comics, it was basically everything I hoped it would be.
@@JustVoid17no they mention how important mark is that without him the world falls apart. And they eventually meet that mark and he's all dark and dangerous. So the needed the unchanged mark
Season 2 took so long because Amazon wasn't sure about it and they didn't start production until they renewed it after the season 1 finale when the Omni Man meme was everywhere. Season 3 is already being worked on and should be out next year.
Incredible to think that a meme had such an impact on a show, I am going to admit it I only heard about Invincible when I saw a "Think, Mark, Think" meme, funny thing is I was wondering why the hell was J.Jonah Jameson "playing" as a superhero. First time in my life a meme has ever actually been beneficial to me and made me discover new things, needless to say I have absolutely no regret over watching the show, it was amazing and I rewatched it a couple of times
@@Stormyy6310 It's honestly crazy how big that meme was for the show. I actually started at the beginning just because I really follow animation and even though I didn't know anything about what it was based off of an adult animated hour long comic book hero series sounded awesome. Nobody was talking about it early though so I was super stoked when the meme took off and it became the hot new thing. I just hope it still succeeds years after that meme and that people still keep checking it out because it's one of if not the best show on tv right now.
You can tell Nolan is growing because he personalized his connection to Debbie again after diminishing her value to his life. He didn't say, "I think I miss Debbie." He said, "I think I miss my wife." Great little bit of subtle writing there. Mark needs to unwind for a mimute. Dude needs to come to terms with who he is and decide who he wants to he moving forward. Glad we won't be waiting nearly as long for season 3 vecause this is easily one of Amazon's best series.
Why do so many people think that the Guardians who come save him are different dimension Guardians? I mean I guess due to the nature of time travel and dimension splitting, at this point they technically are in a different dimension, but only the main line Guardians would even know Mark went missing and would want to save him. They are just from 20 years in the future.
That’s how I interpreted what they said about the ‘20 years in the future’ and ‘missing for 20 years.’ It would also explain why Eve chose to reveal what she did to THAT Mark specifically, as that would be the one she knows and would see again, hence why Rudy/Rex made his comment about the time stream.
Season 3 is scheduled to come out in 2025! they said that they are deciding on if they want to release a season every 12 months or 18 months but it should never take longer a year and a half. Also, season 4 and 5 were confirmed!
Spoiler warning The AU Gaurdians are from our timeline, Mark was stuck there for 20 years our time. The gaurdians found him finally and sent him back in time to the point he disappeared. Also Robot being Rex is for shadowing the invincible war
I think you forgot the Fortnite cameo lol(he whacks angstrom with the dragon breath sniper) and they also put the skins in the shop to reference! Also for mark to get out of Fortnite he would have had to beat a game and get a vic Roy because that’s what you have to do to escape the loop(Fortnite lore) great video btw!
kate hid the original, she is the original by the number on her suit. she has been living through the copies all that time. the dinosaur dimension was part of the comic so thats where it is from.
I understand why he is quitting college. The guy will live to see the earth crumble to dust and blow away. Its not like he will every be able to live a normal life 🤷🏻♂️
I can’t wait for Mark & Eve to be together in season 3, they both need each other and I think they’re perfect for one another. She is the only one who knows what he’s going through, also he’s always happy when he is with Eve. 🤟🏽🙏🏽
I was tripping on shrooms when I watched the finale. The way atom eve was looking at invincible at the end of the episode. You can tell she loves him for real. Well done.
Something about how eve spoke to amber about mark and the way future eve told mark she loved him is incredibly realistic. She is manipulative but not malicious.
Mind explaining? Bc in s1 she was with Rex and just supported Mark and Amber and stood up for him whenever he missed their dates. In s2 when Amber came to her for advice, she said the same advice Art did for Mark. Future Eve just wanted some closure, she didn't expect Mark to love her, she just wanted to give her past self some peace.
@@temp6156I think it is a bit of manipulation but like the comment said, it’s not malicious, she loves Mark, so she does what she can to make that happen for her, we all do crazy things for ones we love, she’s still a selfless, good person
dunno if this counts as manipulative but its not entirely wrong according to time travel rules, one of 2 things will happen: 1) this eve and her team and her timeline will just vanish and be overwritten by the new one they just created by sending mark back 2) a new timeline will be created where mark went back to his time, so this was the last time she saw mark off course she'd say something 😭
8:11 the guardians that save him are our guardians just in the future bec mark doesn’t get back so they go back in time to bring him back to his timeline it’s kinda confusing but if u watch it a few times ull understand if u don’t already lol
It wasn’t the creative team’s idea to add the dinosaurs. It came from the source material which are the comics. And before the whole multiverse became popular in recent years, invincible did it way before anyone else back in 2003. Not too sure what issue episode 8 is grabbing from so could be 2004
Not the biggest fan of Angstrom Levy taking a season finale’s villain slot, over say a Viltrumite but the character development his fight offered Mark was very good. Overall the season 2 finale was very enjoyable, hope to see more Nolan and Allen in season 3.
The only thing I think could stack up or come close to season 1’s finale would be Mark vs Conquest but even then it wouldn’t feel the same in terms of stakes and contrast through the whole season
It's April 4th the day I'm recording this. Dude was recording on release day. Also the whole is rex robot thing, it's implied that the future rex we see is Rudy, but grown up. His vocal tones are more proper than how Rex usually sounds.
I thought they were gonna pan out and show that Angstrom had switched places, and Mark had beaten Debbie to death in his rage without noticing. Because of how he stood up panicking and not showing the body.
16:12 I'm actually with Mark on this, no matter what degree or job he gets, he has to leave at moments notice to save the world. He knows it wouldn't be fair to the people he would be working with if he did that.
8:38 it’s not exactly an alternate dimension, it’s the future of the universe we know. Or that’s how it would have gone because Mark got “lost” during his fight with angstrom, also don’t forget that Robot literally cloned Rex for his body. The Robot, is the clone that we know. He took on Rex’s name for reasons I will not spoil you on
I think eves confession what’s a bit over the top and should have been just something more subtle to let their relationship naturally grow but regardless that a nit pick and this show is goated asf.
well it’s straight from the comic. but in the comic the events take place at a different time and his relationship with amber also wasn’t all THAT serious tbh
Just to clarify on the 'guardians of the globe from another dimension', they're not. They are from the prime dimension we've been following this entire time, just from the future. They developed dimension hopping tech of their own and searched for the dimension Mark was trapped in. They found future mark but because he went crazy from isolation, they decided to time travel to the past when Mark was freshly stranded, which is what we see in the episode, and save him instead. So TLDR- they're not from another dimension, they're just from the future
I love how Mark’s beating of Angstrom mirrors his father beating him in the finale of last season. Really drives home the message that to Mark this is his worst fear come true!
Each individual episode is great However to me and many other, the finale didn’t feel like- anything. It was a good episode but none of us even knew it was the final episode Not only that but the season as a whole despite having many great individual episodes- nothing happens. The season is almost all set up with zero pay offs. I’m exaggerating of course
Congrats on surpassing 1,100 subs before April is over! Lol. Also, it wasn't mentioned in the show, but in the comics, Duplikate decided to keep herself hidden and live through her duplicates (since they all share the same consciousness) because she had like, a near death experience and never wants to leave herself exposed like that again. We're probably going to see her brother make n appearance on the show soon. We caught a glimpse of him in prison with the Mauler's in season 1 when the guard was walking by his cell.
Wait you don't think any season finale will top season one? And you haven't read the comics? Well I don't know where each season will necessarily end but I can think of at least a few moments that have the potential to top season one. Heck I think even as soon as season three we could see a better finale than season one. Assuming they end it where I think they will end it.
I liked the season, two finale better, because I love the concept of the real villain of the season being Mark’s dark side that he’s trying not to let win. Angstrom was a tool to demonstrate what Mark could be and ironically pushed him towards it. Though Angstrom dies, he wins.
Also I have to clarify, that’s not an alternate version of the Guardians. They said that they traveled the multiverse to find this specific universe and find him. You have to remember that this Angstrom is the only Angstrom in the entire universe that has these powers. Which means that our Mark is the only Mark in the multiverse to face against an Angstrom like this. So these are actually our guardians from our future, but in sending Mark back, they branch into a new different timeline. But those were all the characters we know and love, and the Mark they referenced is our Mark. Which implies that Rex in the Robot suit isn’t just an alternate universe thing, but that Rex is Robot in our universe that we watch
I think mainline Rex died and Rudy/Robot ended up taking his name on top of his genes. Or it's just Eve who calls him Rex since adult Rudy looks and sounds like Rex. Like I've heard in another video, the competence and intelligence of the character is more in line with Robot than the original Rex. That said it's my interpretation. I haven't read the comics so I don't have any extra context to determine what we're seeing. Cheers from France! 🍻
I disagree, Mark leaving college is the rational thing to do. Mark will look in his twenty for most of our life time, beside being hard to explain in daily life, i'm not sure his study will still relevant in 50 or 100 years. There is a reason Nolan was a writer, not that many jobs that allow you to disappear for two months. That's the viltrumite curse, you have powers so you have responsibility to use them (for earth or the empire) and your lifespan discourage any meaningful attachments with another species. The only one on Earth who can relate is Immortal.
the guardians of the globes that rescues mark from the other dimension are *not* from another dimension, they're from the *future* they're the same guardians that you know, time just passed
17:44 This is why I think s3 won't cover Mark and Eve's relationship as an official couple. They probably will be officially together at the end of s3 bc Mark needs time to heal
In the episode Agent Spider makes fun of the villain calling him "Prof Ock" which would be Professor Ock compared to Doctor Octopus. Suprised they got away with such a small change 😂
@@rynhawks voice acting is completely done but as philip schaff said "animation takes a loooooooooooooong time" they said they were deep in s3......could mean a number of things
6:40 he actually does survive... He starts the Invincible War... Wow... ok... You definitely haven't read the comics... A lot of things you said made me laugh, because you're extremely wromg about uh few future things.
robot named himself rex after rex does something in the comics, not gonna spoilt it but don’t worry that’s not really rex, also you said our mark is one of if not the only good mark, which can’t be true if the teen team lost their mark too and actively search for him in the dimension to save him, so i think that teen team is actually from the mainline dimension after mark disappears and how they mention (4?) time machines i can’t remember but such a good series!!!
Also, if you don’t think any fight, will top Nolan against Mark bro just wait till conquest that’s all I’m gonna say just wait till conquest shows up it’s all I’m gonna say
Angstrom is basically Schizophrenic except the Disordered Thinking is cranked up to 11, though without the hallucinations (to our knowledge). He probably also has something like OSDD-1A given the fact he combined a bunch of versions of himself together, along with the C-PTSD of hundreds of versions of himself. He probably does not meet the diagnostic criteria to be schizophrenic, but he definitely has disordered thinking and definitely seems to be detached from reality to an extent. Being a universe hopper does not help with this, and is only enabling his issues as he clearly has some form of memory dysfunction and brain fog, along with emotional dysregulation, he just straight up is not emotionally or mentally built to keep track of hopping universes after his accident because his brain cannot separate which dimension is which, or memorize who is who and it shows. I know I wouldn't, and I'd get confused. Before he was intelligent enough and had intact enough memory to do so, characters like Rick or the Doctor have the memory and intelligence to differentiate the variants in each universe as well. But someone with heavily disordered thinking caused by the accident and melding of memories and brains into one just can't handle it.
I'm happy you liked the episode. I thought it was okay, it didn't really work as finale it felt more like a mid-season episode. I've made a list of the things I didn't enjoy in this episode. Feel free to read and tell me if you think I'm exaggerating. The beginning of the episode with Omniman was the best part of it as well as the spider-man part. The rest of the episode was executed quite badly. The dialogue felt mechanic and unnatural like when the future guardians find Mark that scene had awful dialogue imo. The animation was not good if felt really flat when compared to episode 1 which had the best animation so far. I was turning my head away from the screen at some moments. Omniman fighting those robots and the spider-man scene were the only well animated scenes. Many inconsistencies with Mark's powers. We're shown multiple times that he has super speed, he enters the house using super speed and never uses it against Angstrom although he had multiple chances to get to him and subdue him without risking his family's life. Just break his arms and legs and he's helpless Mark is strong enough to do that. A little nitpick here about him ANGRILY throwing the knife on a house and it just doesn't fly off to the next continent or it doesn't create a shockwave that destroys a part of the house. Anything implying that Mark has super strengh and is losing control. The soundtrack was quite ineffective most of the time. They could've done a better job with it. Some scenes didn't need to be there to waste our time like the guy jogging at the beginning completely ruins the tension they set up on the previous episode cliffhanger. That's my opinion though. If they wanted the title card just let Angstrom say it without having to kill the tension of the scene. The tomb scene was very unnecessary. And the monster girl with rex one could have been moved to season 3 or been made shorter. Delete those to spend more time showing Immortal's mental suffering through his day to day life so the scene with Kate returning feels more impactful because I didn't feel anything in that scene. I was like oh she's alive nice okay cool. Overall this is unfortunately one of the worst episodes of season 2 for me and it saddens me when I compare it to season 1 finale. This could've been the best episode of the season but episode 1 will keep that tittle with episode 7 being the second best because of Anissa. I REALLY hope they improve the animation for season 3 because of Invincible War and the fight with Conquest. Those NEED to have anime level animation. Amazon should wake up and start hiring Jujutsu Kaisen animators asap lol
Dude listening to your views it seems that u haven't read the comics yet and trust me you aren't ready for what lies ahead in the future. I hadn't read the comics too but after finishing the 2nd season I couldn't wait any more and read all 144 issues. And let me tell I wasn't prepared for what I was about to experience. I mean almost every issue got a 'holy f***' out of me. The future for Mark just gets crazier and crazier.
it’s weird people genuinely think Angstrom is dead… with his powers, there’s absolutely no way he’s dead, even if you didn’t read the comics you should assume he’s still gonna be around
idk man they didnt even show his face after the legendary pounding this show not showing someone's messed up face should mean that the person is dead 😂
If they spend season 3 having mark and eve getting together and half way through they get in a fight and break up than get back together and its just on and off i will be disappointed. sick of that relationship style in movies and tv
they're following the comics and there isnt any bs like that eve does breakup with him once but let me provide context (spoiler so read if you want) mark wants to make sure angstrom has been neutralized (killed or turned around coz something happens in the future) so he asks someone's help to go to the dimension angstrom's in. eve begs him not to go coz bad stuff always happens in alternate dimensions (and coz she was pregnant so offc she'd want mark with her) but he yells at her, and says he's worried angstrom might come back and harm her and their child. so they get into a fight (verbal) and he goes anyway. that person betrays mark and strands him in that dimension. mark manages to return after 6 months and then instead of asking how eve was or something like that, he asks her "where's that person?" so she breaks up w him she takes him back the very next issue so ig it was just hormones (their child was about to be born) 😂
If you read the comics then you know Rexplode will die & Robot will end up taking his name as homage to him. So the Rex that older Eve is referring to after confessing to Mark is actually Rudy.
Spoiler he’s alive very much alive, in fact, he’s going to actually go get those marks all the different marks that killed them. He’s going to team up with them.
