Every time Fousey almost convinces everyone he’s getting better, he does some something absolutely baffling. It’s so unfortunate, I hope he gets the help he needs
This one hurt. So her judgement was impaired and she's unable to give consent because she's drunk and she felt obligated to pay back for the drinks and the 2,4k. She said "this is the most money I've ever seen" iirc, he had noticed she's not too well off herself so he used that to his advantage as well, to seem like a good man, a great chap, now give us a kiss. What's more fucked up is she told him she's a victim of human trafficking and he used that trauma to his advantage without a second thought. A non predatory person would've 1) stopped talking to her when he realized she was drunk out of her mind, 2) not bought her drinks because she's already fucked up, 3) stopped talking about sex or making moves on her when she told him she's been systematically assaulted and sold, 4) most importantly not had sex with her in that compromised state but he did all of that. All of that.
Yeah, it's not a small mistake - it was a series of deliberate actions that he would have continued being proud of if his audience hadn't turned on him.
@@GerryRRWell, sadly speaking, this is how mania is. He definitely needs to be held accountable, but we have to also acknowledge that he was not on his right mind either. A person in a manic episode is actually quite impaired, you could argue even more so than a drunk person. People can jump out of windows believing they can fly. This guy needed to be hospitalized until his mood stabilized. So while you could argue that when a Schizophrenic person does something horrible because they genuinely believe they are in danger, it is not the same as a sober person that is not manic.
Some people can’t believe he’s sober acting this way. Coming from someone raised by a bi polar parent I can say mania episodes are crazier than most drugs. They can be a true danger to others and themselves.
Yes I can’t imagine living with someone in a full blown mania. I did 12 hour shifts at a psychiatric hospital and of all the patients there none were more difficult and unpredictable than those in a manic episode.
I think you're absolutely right, he's also been smoking a lot of weed which is known to magnify psychosis and mental health issues pertaining to BPD and similar mental health diagnosis
also a child of a bipolar parent. they absolutely have delusions and NEED to be forced to get help because they dont believe theres anything wrong with them. my dad signed something so that they can admit him to a psych ward without his consent during a manic episode. its needed.
@@ryanconlom1279I agree but sometimes people may not know all the facts and just think Fousey's just being an asshole. I personally haven't heard from Fousey in years, but I had no clue that he had serious mental health issues. If people who watch him don't know that they may think he's just acting out for attention or he's just a bad person.
My heart goes out to the woman. Nobody deserves to go through what she did. Being trafficked is already horrifying but to be so clearly taken advantage of in your moment of weakness and for it to be broadcast to the public is just heartless.
She should report him for rape. She was way to drunk to consent. Theirs a few drinks, then there’s how she was. It’s like one step above someone who’s passed out.
When a person with a history like Fousey claims that their bipolar was misdiagnosed, I think its completely fair to assume that the person is currently experiencing an episode and needs helps. Not agitation and encouragment.
This. From someone who has dated a bipolar person we have to realize bipolar people just simply don't have the same mind as us. They will start to deny their diagnosis, stop taking their meds, and do extremely harmful, damaging things that could ruin their life. They need actual help and people supporting them at a time like this. In my honest opinion they shouldn't have a side that encourages them, and they also shouldn't have a side that tries to find logic behind their behavior. They literally just need mental help.
I have bipolar 2 and although I have never been this bad, I do have times where I feel like I am making up having bipolar. Like I am not really bipolar, I have just imagined it all. It really sucks. So yeah its common for someone think they dont have it or have magically gotten better and dont need their meds anymore.
"having sex with an extremely drunk woman who also just confided in you that she was the victim of human trafficking at some point" is a really long way to say rape. he committed rape.
As someone who has experienced a family member with mania and severe mental health issues, thankyou Charlie for how respectful and empathetic this video was.
I have an uncle who did a lot of hard drugs when he was younger and it must have caught up to him. He was always eccentric and weird but nothing to really note, but one day he disappears and just doesn’t come home, eventually the police get a report of his car on a farm. They go to investigate and he’s perfectly fine. He explains that he got a message from God that the woman who owns the farm is dead and that he needs to take care of her horses. None of this is remotely true the lady that owns the farm went on vacation and the person who reported the car was the person routinely checking on the horses. He was let go by reason of insanity and was diagnosed with schizophrenia
As someone who has experienced a family member with mania and severe mental health issues, I am totally indifferent if a person on RU-vid is making a video of someone in a completely different situation
This reminds me so much of the Etika situation with people not being able to distinguish his online persona from him having an actual mental health crisis. It is beyond disturbing to see this happening in a similar way and I hope he gets help before anything else drastic happens. Hope that woman is doing okay, she deserves all the support in the world after those horrible experiences
Etika was EXACTLY who I was thinking of immediately when Charlie was talking about people making his mental illness into a game and just egging him on to do worse and worse.
@@justheretocommentokdontwan685 I remember seeing a video of him being rather hostile actually, he also didn't record every second of his life so we really don't know everything
This is a powerful message, in that the audience can sometimes be a victim of the decline themselves as they have become attached to it, and it takes someone like you are doing here, to actually say hey guys this shit aint ok. Hopefully this recentres everything he gets the help he needs
I had a roommate that had a manic episode and it was terrifying. Seeing someone you care about saying and doing things that you know they’d never do normally sucks. We ended up calling the police and an ambulance to get him help. I knew he was more of a danger to himself because he also had firearms in our house. The police confiscated all his guns and we finally coaxed him into the ambulance where he was taken to a mental health ward where he’d be able to get the help he needed.
I don't like how the internet has become anymore. Everyone is just so detached that even the saddest shit doesn't even matter to most people. This is a prime example. I never even heard of Fousey until now, I hope the people around him realize that he needs serious help.
Tormenting the mentally ill has always been something the Internet loves to do. Chris chan is a prime example of someone becoming deranged and fully intervered with bc of malicious strangers loving to torment someone.
@@dark_knight_3304 people with mental health problems aren't hiding behind it, they are consumed by it. most people's understanding of mental health illnesses is so poor
You’re actually a real one for taking this that deep into thought. Almost everybody eats this up rather than think maybe he needs mental help, that doesn’t excuse certain things but its just nice knowing how wholesome you have stayed even after becoming as known as you are❗️
I hope in the end he gets better and everything works out for Fousey. But excuse me if I have a hard time feeling bad for an attention whore who makes millions being an attention whore and thinks the world literally revolves around him(to the point he was screaming at the dispatcher and the cops.) I hope he gets the mental help he needs though.
What's going on with his mental health is absolutely terrible, but I just can't get over him having sex with a drunk woman that was a victim of sex trafficking. I genuinely hope she's doing okay.
this is going to sound awful but it’s not meant in that way: fousey is clearly in the throws of mania, this lady was clearly intoxicated, clearly has trauma, sometimes damaged people continue to damage themselves and others before they realise they need help.
Without much knowledge of the situation as I don't particularly care for Fousey, if the woman consented, then that's on her. Quit defending them and their poor life choices.
he should be with his family surrounded by ones who actually love and care for him its sad the way ppl are treating a mentally ill person who clearly needs help like charlie said people are just so disconnected from the real world nowadays they cant even see he is a real human being who needs help it it sad and i hope he gets help
Why are you people ignoring the fact that fousey took advantage of a drunk woman? He needs to be in prison for that. You guys give so much sympathy to these heterosexual predators
you described this situation perfectly. it’s really fucked up seeing nearly the entire internet cheer on this man’s downward spiral. i hope he gets real help soon
I mean I don’t know a single person who has every heard of him. I think I niche part of the internet that hangs out in forums and follows internet culture May know of him, but certainly not the entire internet
This is insanely sad. Massive ups to Charlie for not clowning on Fousey, and instead telling his audience that this man needs serious help. Prayers for Fousey man...
Actually, Charlie's clowning him by taking the sanctimonious route, even though he's lucky that he's nearly made it out of his 20s without getting confronted because I can tell you for certain that not everyone is a fan of his sardonic personality. No disrespect to "penguinz" but we all know he's not saying half of the things he says on camera to a person's face. 😏
Well said Charlie! We live in a terrible time and terrible society and the only way we can help one another is having those tough conversations with the ones we love. Stay safe out there y’all
exactly. he’s a shitty person. like a really fucking bad person. but he CLEARLY needs mental help asap. maybe he can make a turn around with proper help.
me too. thanks for sharing your experience. even if he's a bad person it's not right to prey on the weak (i've been to the ward myself). ironically this is probably what Fousey was doing. I would hate to have been held fully accountable for all my actions under this much duress. i'm forever grateful to my parents
This is terrifying. Mental health is a horrifying thing when let out of control and I feel bad for this guy (And this is coming from somebody who has known people with MH issues) He needs help and I hope somebody steps in and puts their foot down. I pray for you man!
My brother dealt with BP before getting treatment, and watching Fousey's downward spiral sort of triggered past memories. The pain of the inner monologue fuels the need for attention as a social distraction to their thoughts. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad attention. The worst thing for them is to deal with those thoughts while alone. While alone, they must contend with the shame, regret, and depression of their actions while in an episode. Those feelings fuel the next episode. A never ending cycle of personal pain and regret.
I appreciate that you are talking about this from a genuine perspective. You aren’t someone who is making fun of him. I used to be a huge fan of him. I really do appreciate you talking about this with empathy.
me and my brother used to watch Fousey a lot when we were younger as we related to the muslim skits he made, as we are also arab muslims we thought all of the jokes he made were funny and that we have someone in a western country who has gone through the same situations, but seeing who he has turned to be, all i can say is that i hope he gets better, and if he wants to really use the muslim card that badly maybe he should revaluate the mistakes he has made and get better and follow the rules of our religion, if not that is up to him and no one has the right to force him, hopefully he gets better.
As someone who has members of my life struggling with schizophrenia and bipolar, it hurts me so much to see people struggling and everyone around them making a joke out of it. It's no joke, we need more people who care and help others get the treatment they need.
Idk, I'm sure the people you know who are struggling with their mental illnesses are wonderful people, and I hope they get the help they need. However, Fousy is just a bad person he hides behind his mental illness and religion to justify his awful behavior. He brags about doing terrible things and asking for forgiveness from Allah (pbuh) like that changes anything.
I have bipolar disorder, and people with bipolar tend to sometimes go off their meds. It's not a good choice, but it's common. When you're used to feeling emotions like a bipolar person, feeling emotions like everyone else feels like you're feeling nothing. It's not at all an excuse for his behavior, especially the airport story. Rape is not a symptom of bipolar. Believing the troll dude is definitely a symptom of bipolar though. I appreciate the tactful way you covered this story. You are clearly very well informed in how mental illness works, and I loved you tearing into the people who thought the stream was entertaining. You were 100% correct that this is a manic episode, and telling him to go to bed is not gonna work because he simply can't. When you're manic, you can't sleep and you don't really need to.
It’s not rape to him though, and that’s the distinction of the mental illness. He clearly doesn’t understand that it’s wrong so something clearly isn’t right somewhere.
I know its a few months late, thank you Charlie. For all of your content. For being insightful, smart and compassionate. For knowing when something is funny and when it is most certainly not. Keep up the grand work that you create and share.
There is no way that woman was able to give consent to any s*xual activity if she was that drunk. So this poor soul has once again been a victim of SA. Which is so heartbreaking, especially right after she just told this man that she was a victim of human trafficking. My heart goes out to this poor lady and as for that man, I really just hope he gets the mental health care he needs. Bipolar disorder is such a serious illness. I had a friend lose his life on this disease. This whole situation is all in all extremely upsetting and sad. I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't had the horrors of schizophrenia. And I'm grateful I haven't. I recently had to watch a documentary about just how devastating it can be, and it put it into perspective for me.
It’s sad to hear Fousey saying that he is getting help, and then there are these horrific episodes. My heart goes out to the women and possibly others who were affected from his manic episodes off camera.
I don't know, the way charlie describes it, it sounds like the woman event was completely separate from the episode. Yes it's sad, he needs help, but that doesn't detract from the fact that he's a terrible person for what he did to that woman.
@@mixedvibes9613there is always a sort of build up with mania and manic episodes. my mom was acting weird for a month and it kept building and building up until it just exploded. if it was a few days prior, it easily is within the scope of a manic episode. it seems especially likely because mania can make you act very impulsively and without hesitation.
You can get help and still have these episodes sadly. Healing isn't linear and isn't a one-time deal. You need to heal and work on yourself for your lifetime
Thank you for doing this I respect you so much as someone who has seen a person they love go through this pain I can’t believe people are seeing this as entertainment 😭😭😭
Fousey is like a real life Bojack horseman. He's stuck in this horrible loop of showing potential to be a good person who you'd want to root for but then doing something in deplorable or degenerate showing you how much of a garbage person he is. It's saddening for people who have seen fousey's rise and fall then rise again to now this. However, he cannot be defended. Hope he gets help.
Having the platform you do Charlie, and saying things like this is so important even though it IS the bare minimum. We’ve gone so far from reality that real people have these channels and live their life through likes and clout. It’s just sad to see someone genuinely spiral like he did on live broadcast. The sad thing is the internet always wins. I hope to see him get better.
Its sad because it was just a few weeks ago Ethan Klein had Fousey on and they talked about his "Alter ego named Fousey" and Ethan literally said "Man im kinda worried that this live stream thing is going to bring you right back to that approval seeking alter ego and you are going to lose it again" (paraphrasing)
As someone who had a loved one go through a manic bipolar episode, I feel so sad fousey didn’t get the friend support he needed during this, and was instead broadcasted. I hope he can mentally recover from this and I appreciate Charlie for speaking up about it
He’s surrounded himself with enablers. The best thing for him right now is an inpatient visit, and I have a strong feeling he will get just that after this manic episode. I genuinely wish he’d get better, but it’s such a shame that the livelihood he’s built relies on being an internet figure, at the mercy of terrible people and the toxic herd mentality that many of these online spaces have. Watching fousey back in the day when I was a middle schooler, and seeing him go down this path is extremely saddening.
He did someting quite rape-y and everyone who cared for his mental health and wanted the best for him drew the line and diss-associated with him. Then the worst of the worst scum that was left like Fresh&Fit, Sneako and Aiden Ross became "friends" with him and those people don't give a fuck about mental health so their audiences just began fucking with him, bullying him and trying to make him snap

Also, another funny thing is that Charlie literally lied. Aiden Ross told him that he needed to take him to the hospital. You didn't even mention that because Charlie obviously doesn't like Aiden because he's not woke. Aiden literally said, dude, this is enough. You have to go to the hospital. I'll drive you. @@drift240sx9 ummm mental health isn’t exclusive to financial status. Mental health is like any other health problem, poverty can prevent you from getting the proper help you need but having money doesn’t make you immune to it
It's not as easy as just telling him to stop. I had a friend that progressed from PTSD to a Borderline Personality Disorder and there is surprisingly little you can do to try and get them help. They basically have to admit to thoughts of self harm or others for any kind of intervention to take place, and even then it's a 72 hour hold in a "psyche" ward where they just pass out meds like candy. Hopefully a positive comes out of the situation and this guy decides he needs help.
i live with bpd, it’s a terrible experience and at my lowest i couldnt even confide in a therapist because if i do i’ll be sent to the ward, instead of being able to openly express how i feel and the thoughts i experience
I was diagnosed last year and DBT therapy is the most effective treatment out there. It was designed for borderlines and im going through it now. Recovery and healing is possible. :)
I would strongly recommend Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing for all post traumatic stress related diagnoses such as ‘CPTSD’/ “bpd”. From my professional experience they are by far the most effective traditional talking modalities as they get to the root of the underlying trauma. Additionally, whilst I appreciate this isn’t for everyone, Psilocybin therapy is incredible and can be absolutely life changing. ❤
Right? Charlie blames the friends and family, he blames everyone watching (but not himself clearly), when the truth is, you can't make adults do things they don't want to. It's not easy to commit people, and once you do it, they will NEVER talk to you again, ever, so you can't help them anymore once they are, very quickly, let out. Charlie wants there to be a simple answer, but there isn't one.
This is why education on mental health is so important. His audience sounds stupid enough to not notice and think it's fake because no one taught them what mental illnesses are, or they never paid attention if they were taught. Thanks for speaking out against the negative attention about this issue and bringing up how important mental health is. An illness bad enough and untreated can kill the person who suffers from it.

I've seen so much misinformation on mental illness floating around socmed sites where younger people are, like tiktok and twitter. They either think its slightly quirky behaviour like dyeing your hair a weird colour, or something that makes you shy and scared like a baby animal. Hes a grown man. His decisions are his own. Personal accountability is a thing, and mental illness has become a shield for too many people to excuse their horrible behavior.

Normal people going through a psychotic episode would be getting normal reactions, limited to work, friends, family, maybe bystanders if they’re unlucky, and odds are they’d be trying to help in some way. @@charliekelly7024 I've seen people defend people because "they had sad past" too. I don't know what tf is happening, but I sure as hell would want to off myself if I saw someone say "hope he gets help" about my r*pist.
He made his own bed by being a POS, don't know why anyone would feel that bad, even if he does have mental issues. If you are a dirtbag degenerate, you attract dirtbag degenerates. It's not rocket science
As a bipolar person, I see someone who has just started the healing process, but isn’t willing to recognise that he has a huge amount of work to go before his functioning levels are acceptable. He needs cognitive behavioural therapy, medication and stability. There no way you can have stability while you’re constantly live streaming. It took me 24 years to figure out how to cope with my mental health. I wish him the best
literally, i am also bipolar and just constantly being on social media can trigger the worst things. the internet can encourage the worst in people who need help.
Thank you for pointing out the severity of mental illness we just witnessed and how hard it can be to fully recognize episodes like this. I wish fousey the best, and hope that the public will help him through this struggle.
everyone knows the severity of mental illness, pointing out the obvious doesn't need pointless thanks the videos are to make fun of him and make money at the same time from his downfall, open your eyes its not for any good reason at all but personal gain, if it was, the video wouldn't exist and they would do something good instead of this trash
I have to admit I tuned in bc I’ve been hearing more and more about foundry but the fact that penguinz decided to use this video to advocate on fouseys behalf is damn near amazing with this day and age I’ve been tuning into your videos more and more and this video right here just got my sun I’ll be tuning in all the time now I appreciate the fact that there’s actually a content creator that has a conscience and a heart, I wish nothing the best for you penguinz0, great video great content and you’re right the audience that swears to god they “love” fousey need to grow some balls and actually do what’s right and let fousey know he’s on a destructive path not just sit back in their parents spare bedroom eating popcorn enjoying a man literally spiraling out of control where there is significant potential he could make a mistake that could result in fatalities for himself and others, nothing but respect, solid take.
Thank you Charlie. Seriously. I’ve been in similar manic states before, many years ago when I was much younger. The thought of millions of people not only watching, but actually being entertained by the darkest, most profoundly painful moments of my life is such an inconceivably perverse and utterly dystopian nightmare that I don’t even know how to process the fact that this is actually acceptable in the increasingly sadistic and inhumane culture that the internet has wrought upon us. You’d think after the Chris Chan saga, someone would have actually done something by now and intervened to prevent these types of situations from recurring. It truly is tragic in a way that is beyond human comprehension, and it genuinely makes me mourn just how far humanity has fallen.
As someone who just recently spent time in the hospital for a manic episode i really feel for him. It's disgusting how people find it entertaining because in reality it's one of the worst things to go through. Hope he gets the help he needs.
Hey bud. I hope you're finding your integration back into your life smooth and simple. What you go through seems like hell, no matter the level of mania. I'm so, so very glad you found yourself in the hospital rather than somewhere much more dangerous. I also really appreciate the empathy you display while you're recovering. It's heartwarming, man. Thank you for your big heart.
@@hamclammedI'll tell you right now, i feel for someone undergoing a mental health crisis while everybody around them goads them further into it. Pain is pain, and it's all awful to laugh and point at. Especially directly AT the person.
My wife has the exact or very similar mental health condition. It is extremely heartbreaking, thankfully she is getting the help she needs, but nobody in her family OR my family is taking it as seriously as it is, I now realize I have to take the situation into my own hand when she gets better, to support and provide for her. If I had to guess, fousey called the police on a person who doesn’t exist in reality, but only in his mind. Tragic stuff honestly.
Fousy, in my opinion, is the kinda guy that just shouldn't be exposed to fame. The fact that this isn't the first time something like this has happened with him is telling imo. It's pretty obvious that this kind of thing just isn't good for him, and I hope he gets the help he needs
As someone who works in a psychiatric hospital, this is really sad to see how many people are egging him on. I really hope he gets the help he needs, as bad as some of his actions are. He needs real, medical help.
@@Ethan-ee8rv thank you, that is really kind. I was admitted once when I was much younger and was also mistreated by staff; I think it’s the reason I care so much now.
A lot of the people egging him on needs just as much help themselves, it's a circlejerk of people needing help spiraling in unison. It's just a sad situation altogether, no human being with their mind in the right place eggs something like this on
buT hE gAVE her 2500 dOLlars sO itS OKay Seriously that has to be the worst take I've ever heard. How the fuck does paying off somebody you took advantage of mean ANYTHING 🤬
@@theussmirageit hurts my heart to hear, at first I was a bit empathetic of his situation but after hearing more about the details. It’s unforgivable. I really hope she’s getting the help she needs.
@@theussmirage Well you have to remember his incel viewers would also rape women and then throw money at them if they had money. And that's a good reason to make sure incels stay poor in their mother's basement.
My brother was recently diagnosed with bipolar 1. He was in a similar situation that was very scary and unpredictable. I hope Fousey gets the help he needs.
When I saw fousey on the H3 podcast recently I could tell he was on track for a manic episode. Having been through manic episodes myself, I can't even imagine how that kind of attention and fame would feed into the delusions of grandeur, it's so dangerous and heartbreaking to see.
I mean that stream itself was funny because it was mostly harmless but yeah he seemed very eager to potentially end his career just to show himself walking around an airport.
