This game is extremely underrated 

Love how the mafia Ensure they are sufficiently hydrated at all times

There is not one game that felt as atmospheric to me as Mafia 2 did. Coming home from war by taxi in deep winter, getting out and let it snow is playing the background, your neighbours recognize you and want to talk to you. Nothing ever felt this immersive to me. You dont even wanna sprint, you just walk and enjoy it.

I’m glad someone is finally bringing a light to this masterpiece. This game made my childhood, there many fun and memorable things you can do in this game. Like driving a semi truck through the glass window a high-end clothing store downtown, or stopping by a sandwich shop for a sandwich and a swift cola. I still quote parts of it to this day with my brother who always played with me in our living room when we were younger back in the early 2010s. I’m only 22 but honestly watching this made me feel a lot older.

This is one of those games that you could watch your friend play and still be so excited as if you were playing. A true classic.

Favorite game on the 360. Imagine how amazing this game was to a stupid 13 year old Italian kid who grew up watching old mafia movies with his Sicilian family. Had no idea whay I was getting into. Was such an immersive experience, back in 2011. Came out around Christmas time or I got it around Christmas time and I still love driving around snowy ass 1940s New York at night time with the Christmas lights and the snow. So atmospheric.

I absolutely love the Mafia playthroughs Peli. I think II is my favorite but you could definitely make some fully hydrated content from Mafia III as well!

My wife went into labor and she said laughter would help her get through the contractions. Out of left field, she asked me to turn on "that RU-vid channel with that Australian guy that plays video games." I've never beat a GTA game but Mafia 2 ive got through more than once. something about the set up of this game that kept me going I was connected to the characters and story. The small details and evolution of the map/story was so good

I have played this game 3 times through. I am on my forth. the game captures the period in time almost perfectly. I was born in the 50's and remember what it was like. This game really takes me back.

This game is still one of my most favorite games. I played story mode million times and I love it. What I love most is the attention to detail which many people didn’t even realize and the lost lots of funny hidden moments or dialogues. Just pure love for this game. Mafia 3 and remake Mafia definitive edition lost this sense of detail

Probably my favorite story mode of all time, this game has always stuck with me!

I recently noticed that old people are dehydrated so I went to the park and started pushing them into the lake hitman style, and they love the water so much they haven't moved a muscle with their heads down.

Only Aussies will understand. How to make fairy bread. Get ricks portly gun, travel to Peter pans dimension, kill tinker bell, return home, collect tinker bells blood and fairy dust (set aside for later), but her wings, bones and heart in a blender, put the sludge into a bread mixer with some flower and water, bake, get the dust and blood before smearing it on the bread and sprinkle it with some fairy dust, get a billy of wombat stew ( don’t listen to the other animals), dip the bread into the stew and enjoy 😊

One of the small details I remember about this game was you were able to customize licence plates and you had to buy gas for your cars. Something GTA should really use

Mafia 2 has been my favorite game of all time since I first played it back in the day. I just love the atmosphere the game creates of being a member of the Mafia back in the 50's. Love to see this game get the attention that it deserves.

I bought my first PC which was entirely mine, and not inherited from my brother, when this game came out. i can't remember the graphics card i bought, but i think this was the time when physix got widely used and this game blew my mind. the atmosphere was just unbelievable.

This whole series...(mainly 1 and 2) is a masterpiece imo. Especially with the remake just being done a couple of years ago. The story is great. The acting is amazing. It's all believable and that's what makes it so good. It's my favorite series and the first thing that's going on my steam deck when it comes in a week from now.

One day my neighbor came walking by and busted me looking at one of the 40's nude magazines at some woman with a huge bush. Fun fact: playboy didnt even exist in the 40's, yet still these were collectibles in Mafia II.

I got this game from a friend when i purchased my PS3 slim ages ago, it was by far one of my fav games on the console.

Fun game. I remember having the preview downloaded, and my favorite thing to do was go to the diner and start a shootout with the cops. Turned it into nonstop survival mode, lol. Too bad there wasn't an online version. The first Mafia game was a little primitive but also a fun game.

I haven't played it but it has great LA Noire vibes. Everything in that game made me feel like I lived in that era.

This may be rather random, but this game has two of the most satisfying car missions in game history. Forget GTA. The mission where you have to get to the former mobster's house to save him from assassins. The first actual mission, where you drive a very classy car on icy streets. Plus a montage during one of the earlier campaigns, accompanied by the very fitting song "Ain't that a kick in the head."

Definitely a memorable game, I remember a lot of these missions. In contrast of GTA IV remembered nearly none of them

The Mafia series consists of two Italian-American simulators, and an African American in the 1960's Bayou simulator. Also, you can rest assured knowing that Vito is just lazy and isn't a part of the klan, because he helps Lincoln fight them in Mafia 3
