But the real question is if all of this is needed? In a generation where laptops are becoming fanless, they’re putting fans on mobile phones. Just a thought. Loving the vids btw :)
Lenovo packed a TON inside that thing! 👏 The Verge says, "Lenovo hasn’t yet announced if the Duel 2 will come to the US." As for Europe, it'll be ~$1,186 with 16GB ram
@@GameRud This can run games much better than the Switch tbh, so if you're not tied to Nintendo IP games, you can get lots of emulators and the like and use this phone to it's fullest :)
@@GameRud tbf at this point if I ever got one of this as a gift I'd just install Linux on it and use it as a powerful pocket PC with superb battery life, I doubt anyone could make use of the hardware by playing games made for Android
@@TheReferrer72 stadia wouldn't take advantage of the hardware. It's cloud gaming. The processing happens on their servers, so any midrange or higher phone would give similar results. This phone is for those who play mobile competitive games, competitively. And there are few like those. Still, if they price it decently in india, they could sell it a good amount because how oblivious people are to real good games. The likes of which can be bought on consoles or pcs.
@@darkphoton_15keV was literally just about to comment about mine, you stole my thunder, I’m glad it doesn’t need a fan but it’s still a funny joke lol
Love Dave's videos on new tech. I always watch Dave and MKBHD videos for any new tech update with honest pros and cons. Whereas UnboxTherapy has been limited by talking positive only of tech, which doesn't work me personally. Respect!!
@@sahilpatro3494 Yes, but I'm usually doing this when I think my comment worth to be posted on different channel (usually 2 at max). Most of the time, no. So far, I did this 2 times :v
@@cybercery5271 well granted that it really is a graphic demanding game, I think that is kinda obvious. However yeah a little optimization here and there can improve the overall experience and smoothness of the game on mobile
After owning the rog phone 2 for over a year now, I can say I'm skeptical about how dust is going to get removed from the fans after a few weeks. The adapters can be taken apart easily and cleaned. I know they're way less efficient but cleaning cooling fans seems like a must for all systems.
I had asked my dad a few years ago, 'what if there were 2 charging ports on the phone, wouldn't it charge twice as fast?' My Dad: 'Yeah rightt, that's never gonna happen" Me now:
@@nonewanted but if there was only one battery getting charged by two cables it would degrade significantly faster. That's why no one thought of charging one battery like that. Since there are two cells, they can be charged individually and the rate of degradation will not increase.
Though other tech youtubers uploaded their videos on this earlier, I knew I’d wait for Dave’s simpler and brief introduction of the phone. Hats off, sir!
I actually find this way more interesting than a folding phone. Would like to know how it works as a daily phone. And is there any chance of getting a case for it? Seems difficult with the curves on the back and fan.
1:51 should probably start using moisturizing hand cream or something, too much HAS can really turn your skin in to paper ( I recently had my skin crack open in some place because of water heat and abrasive cleaning)
Video editing software :- So how much pink you want your skin colour to be. Dave :- YES ! But seriously Dave love your work. Clean, simple and straight to the point. Really appreciate it. 👍
Im simple. When I saw 2 reviews on this device, the first one is 18:37 minutes long, and this one is 6:26 minutes long, I click this one. Nice work Dave
I love that pop up camera. No more holes or behind screen stuff. Pop up is easy and just works. Still not buying it cos i don't game on a phone but cool bits.
@@rajkamal.achanta new invention by our own company which gives best thermal throttli- wait, best thermal efficiency you've seen on any smartphone EVER
Come to think of it, Dave has never had any sponsorships on the channel has he? But i mean the quality of his videos is really top notch. Might be wrong but Dave has one of the best content out there on youtube🙌💯
Can afford it, but it’s not for me; it’s for gamers. Right? A gamer should afford something like this because their world revolves around this kind of tech. Myself, I’m happy with my iPhone 12 Pro and Google 4XL. And tbh I prefer the XL. The only problem is that it’s so buggy, sometimes just freezes for no reason. Never get that issue with Apple (I’m new to Apple, last 2 years).
Funny how this video came out when I just received my Legion 5 Pro 2021 laptop a few hours ago! Though in all seriousness, Lenovo ain't pulling any punches this year with their products. All of them are stacked as hell.
@@Ryusakiiii i dare you to come here and watch it when we hit 1:15 am :) you'll know. *ps:it was a generic comment not based upon the timezone only, where I'm at*
4:52 all phones should have these features (charge limiter at 80%, bypass charging, timed charging so that the battery doesn't sit around full for a long time) and it sucks only gaming phones seem to get them. I hope they set a trend!
