Say it loud,my brother ! Anytime l hear an African saying that we are blessed with natural resources,it makes me feel so down, depressed and ashamed. If in this 21st century the African,still can't see to understand that natural resources without qualified human resources is like putting all your energy and effort into trying to fill up a bottomless pit with water,then it becomes very frustrating ! How or why does one puts all his strength,courage and efforts into running,without having a specific destination ? If this isn't madness,then please tell me what it is ? Having gold and looking at it doesn't fill up your belly,or does it ? If you don't know that all leafs and herbs in the forest are all a pharmacy of medication,you weed them out to burn it. But when the herbalist teaches and shows you the utility and usefulness of every plant,then and then only will you see to understand that everything in existence and nature has a powerful value and reason for existing. This knowledge is what is lacking in Africa. If you know that a magnet losts it's attractive force,the moment it is exposed to a diamond,you look differently at the diamond and the magnet. Africans should be more curious about what they own,and they must learn to know the true worth of what is in their possession !

Ghana is a country rich with loads of natural resources , the problem with Ghana from time memorial , has been managing our resources to the benefit of every Ghanaian. If we don't learn to manage our resources well,devoid of corruption ,hate and selfishness , we will never develop as a country and there will always be hardship.We need selfless, visionary leaders, who don't see through political colors , but have Ghana at heart.This discovery is a blessing in these hard times,but I pray and hope these mines are not sold to foreigners by our big men,just like some of our resources have been sold in the past.God bless our homeland.

These steel plants consume a lot of energy - steel melts at over 1300C - I doubt our current energy production can support it. But I hope the officials will insist and find ways to support this production here
