Kufuor too was there what happened to national refinery? Development is progressive dude. Every gov brought something new on board. Rome is not built in one day

You have so many people there that you can build your country up for richer than America, foundries you can put together you have so many people and resources Africa Build yourself up. I am 69 years of age and I remember seeing Africa when I was about 5 years of age and I saw you guys before then but I didn't understand that you had so much resources, overcome the colonization and build your country up trade amund the African nation you don't very much need America, you need the blueprints on how to build these industries but you got the resources and you got the workers Africa Bill yourself up for your generation to come.
It's very interesting to see how a country like Ghana deals with Energy. I'm stunned to see that energy policies seemed reactive for a long time after your visionary Giant of a first president Nkrumah. Possibly indicating that allowing Capitalism to completely control the directional flow of policies may not always be advantageous. I thought I heard him say it was cheaper to import refined oil than to refine it in Ghana. Imagine that was the case and is the case for all Raw Materials in Africa. In a Capitalist Global Free Trade System then it makes sense just to export the raw materials and don't invest in Processing Plants. The problem is the system is set up this way. I'm therefore glad to hear these initiatives. Seeme like these multiple global shocks of, A Pandemic, War in Europe and a Possible Global recession are having some unforseen positive effects for Ghana. One lesson learned by all countries was, the importance of bolstering Domestic Capacity in medicine but thats relevant fir all sectors, energy being paramount to development. I hope from a wider diaspora approach that the building of Domestic capacity gets extended to incorporate Regional, Continental and even Diaspora Capacity building initiatives. The problem with TOR is not the refinery but the workers and management thievery. If the stealing from the factory and the management of factory is check it will still collapse.
I referred to this assert in Ghana-Tema some months ago when I read Africa was thinking of exporting Oil overseas for refining.I am glad we have come back to our senses
How was it shut down, Mismanagement, round picks in square holes? People, until we demand accountability from managers of government-funded companies and industries we will have the same thing happing soon. Now that they need money, the government should float shares and raise the funds and if the managers are not performing they can be kicked out by shareholders. This will eliminate nepotism and cronyism which are dragging us down

That is why I get irritated when I hear of NDC trying to get back in power. They are responsible for collapsing TOR and selling Tema harbor. Ghanaians spend their time and energies dancing Azonto while John Mahama,Ibrahim and their friends looted Ghana dry. We still have some people who still defend and support NDC after all this calamity they brought to Ghana.
