There's no way they want to bring her back, but WT mainly requires her to have been "the plan" not "the current plan". She was briefly mentioned at the beginning of season 3 of Mandalorian. So yeah, the possibility is small, but it's there. They might have had the plans to recast the character but they would have had a hard time trying to find somebody with Gina's size and build they could've look towards the WWE AEW or UFC maybe but what wrestler or fighter would think to associate with lucasfilm Disney knowing how Shady and messed up they are? The other fact that Elon Musk has ownership of Twitter and that he has access to thousands of accounts, so he must know what really happened when the whole thing went down. But on the real, I don't trust filoni to write anything coherent without Jon Favreau holding his hand. Only time will tell what will happen, but at least Disney's not getting away from the consequences of their stupidity of putting political crap over entertainment.
She’s gonna stand on business, it’s gonna take a LOT more than an out of court settlement to rectify this situation, which pretty much means; all of this goes to trial, w/depositions and testimonies. bad outcome for all parties that were directly involved in her ousting.
The only thing that matters is the contract language. Everything else is feelings and theater. SHOULD she win, every studio will be updating their contract language.
The thing to remember is that contracts do not supersede State or Federal law in the US, and can themselves be illegal. An illegal contract is basically toilet paper, and California's State laws against workplace political discrimination are quite clear.

Pretty sure Favreau is directing this one and Filoni’s announced Mandalorian-verse movie is a separate project. Lucasfilm, however, under Kathleen Kennedy has been completely unfocused so who knows?

They could hire her back, and on the very first small slip up, like being late for a shoot, can find an excuse to fire her again. The world of big corporations is brutal, and the workers are nothing but replaceable numbers (the main stars may have some protection because of their popularity, but she was a replaceable side character).

To be honest I can't stand conservatives and their hatred for everybody's liberty. They want "less government" but out of the other side of their mouths they want the government involved in the most intimate and personal choices a human being could ever make. The Mandalorian & Grogu is not Dave Filoni's movie (his adaptation of Timothy Zahn's, Heir To The Empire, will be his film to write and direct). It's Jon Favreau's, w/ Dave Filoni as a Co-Executive Producer and Creative Consultant. The script is being primarily written by Favreau. Cara Dune is his own original Star Wars character. Given how prominent she was supposed to be within The Mandoverse, it would not be difficult for Favreau (and Filoni) to reinstate the character in to the wider narrative. After all, within The SWU, at present, Cara Dune is a part of The New Republic Special Forces. The death of Greef Karga could easily result in Agent Dune heading (or majorly assisting) the investigation. This isn't a Dave Filoni problem...it's a Kathleen Kennedy & Cohorts problem, when Discovery reveals all of the evidence of their intentional harassment of an actor connected with their company, and sabotage of a profitable pocket universe within The SWU.
If she wasn't planned in M&G film - she shouldn't be there any way. If she was, however, and was written off - she should get her role in both movie and Rangers, as well as in "Mandoverse" "Avengers" movie.
She was planned to be in the movie, and all the rest of the shows within The Mandoverse. Favreau had told her that, as far back as late Fall 2020 (when she was given The Pilot to, Rangers Of The New Republic to read). That's why Kennedy intentionally got rid of her (after harassing her for months on end). She and her minions couldn't stand the support (and popularity...her merchandise was, at one point in 2020, #2 to only Grogu toys, $elling more than Rey, Rose Tico, and Admiral Holdo) both the character and Gina were receiving from the majority of SW Fans of ALL AGES. Having a popular original character like, Carasynthia Dune, messed with Kennedy's whole narrative that female SW characters have a hard time finding a supportive MALE audience. Just like, Ahsoka, Bo Katan, Sabine Wren, Fennec Shand, and (now) Omega also disproved Kennedy & Co.'s conceit. They hated that Favreau & Filoni were becoming the faces of Star Wars, making the whole, "The Force Is Female", and "50% of Our company is run by WOMEN, and 80% of our Story Group is overseen by WOMEN..." company talking and advertising points moot.

Honestly, I used to sympathize with Gina Carano when she got fired from Disney, but ever since she ran off to that circus known as The Daily Wire to star in trash produced by that tool Ben Shapiro I kind of lost respect for her. If she does win this case and gets to star in better quality films and TV shows again then good luck to her I suppose.

regardless of what happens what disney does not seem to accept that there is a group of people who refuse to go see Mando & Grogu the movie as a result of Gina Carano's firing after season 2. I said it back then after season 2 that the Gina firing ruined all the Mandalorian's momentum, and it did. Book of Boba got mixed results despite basically being a companion piece to season 2, then Mando s3 was mostly bashed, especially the Lizzo & Jack Black episode. That's not to say Gina was that great an actress or her character was the best on that series or anything like that, but it was kind of the last straw for many fans after the problematic sequel trilogy films made many lose faith in SW. Even if you don't agree with Gina's politics it was not fair how they treated her in comparison to her peers who were able to share controversial political opinions, and it made Disney look hypocritical to complain that strong female characters in star wars weren't loved enough when they went out of their way to get rid of a strong female character on the Mandalorian. Disney may be looking as The Mandalorian & Grogu film as their best bet to get back into a profitable mode, but wow, are they taking a risk, as they are plunging themselves right into the heart of political divisiveness... how can they prop up a film that they know, without a doubt, will get them negative attention as a result of the Gina Carano controversy. They could have played their cards so much better had they not demonized her, since they could have given her a cameo in the film to settle things & that little act would won over many of the Mandalorian fans that have left Star Wars that would have been excited for this film were it not for the Gina situation. It's going to bomb in the box office and that could doom star wars films forever going forward

Like the character Cara Dune, don't like Gina Carano, and 50-50 believe on if the lawsuit should be dismissed or not (not totally sure about legal systems), and 70-30 believe Gina Carano should lose the lawsuit. Bringing back Cara Dune could cause a story rewrite which makes the quality worse.
Gina said she doesn't want their money she wants to prove her case, so she has said she won't settle with Lucasfilm. She's really good friends with a youtuber called Drunk3PO, and has said a few times she wants to go to discovery to prove that the company has a double standard. But either you have a one sided framing of the situation due to your political ideology or you need to read some news outlets that challenge your beliefs and isn't all just leaning one way politically with an open mind.

I’m glad Gina’s case has gotten traction. However, they don’t need to over think it with bringing her back. She doesn’t need to replace Greef Karga as a magistrate, she’s a soldier not a bureaucrat. Just have her as returning after performing services to the Republic as part of her amnesty deal for past crimes and have introduce herself as the new commander for the Rangers of the New Republic, a new form of law enforcement that patrols sectors of the Outer Rim and is asking Din to help her with a mission or intel involving a wanted Mandalorian or with Boba Fett maybe? It’s not rocket surgery to bring her back, and you can back door pilot the show with the Mandalorian and Grogu movie. I genuinely hope everything turns out for the best between her and Disney. Her career got seriously hit after 2020 and I’ve looked at the posts she made, they were not that bad. All of it was blown out of proportion and Disney needs this wake up call.
