The speed of adaption on the Seoux was crazy... It seemed by the end of the set he had kinf of run out of options since Max was fallen for none of his shenanigans. I wish I figured shit out that fast in fighting games. Good fundamentals takes you so far.
She was crazy enough with what her Parents did to her. Then when she finally got out and started getting into relationships, she got... extreme. She started using boyfriends as test subjects for magic because she wanted to prove capable to her strict parents. Not only did she end up MURDERING all of her suitors, but she still was treated as garbage by her family. It was when she found Deaths Arcarum card in the family library. At that point she was absolutely gone, until the Captain finds her via the Arcarum storylines.
when I first ran this game and I played against her, felt like they swapped me to under night or some shit her kit is so much better than most of the cast its nutty

Nier's backstory is actually kinda harsh and creepy with how she was treated and everything she did that led up to her being the way she is now. "Genuine question, when does it end?" Honestly it feels like it does go on forever lol, just like Narmaya combos, they feel like they are "it's my turn, you put down the controller and watch while you get obliterated combos Hope Max plays more, since this was on launch day and he hasn't had much streams since then.
But nier have a clear end to it her puppet combos eat up the stack she has (the number below her health) if that stack run out, nier is severely weaken since it lock all her doll combos
Me and a bro played some granblue last night and man I'm gonna be honest when it comes to the English and Japanese voice actors they are both amazing especially hope some of the English va come down to Louisiana some day I would live some autographs
I hope Max gives my boy Soriz a try at some point. He seemed to think he was pretty cool in the first game, but he was just _so_ bad back then; But ALL of Rising's new mechanics feel like they were MADE for him, so I'd love to see his thoughts on the new and improved *SOIYA!!!*
I main Avatar Beliel -yes its a command grab -no you cant mash between his combos -dont worry because 80% of his enders are un-safe on block lmao -NEVER be afraid, beliels want you to panic, if you stay calm and just block and dodge his grabs, all his specials and follow up TPs cost his HP to use (think nagoriyuki), so you are WINNING by staying calm and blocking
I think Max uses an arcade stick. But I could be wrong because this game is tailored for a pad. I personally use the original PS2 Dualshock 2 controller ( I use an adapter for PS4
If you want a pad and have some money from Christmas, I would recommend the Victrix Pro BFG. You can modify it to your personal taste, and it should still be on sale.
Absolutely love that comeback against Seox, it was super hype! :D The cooldowns (or lack thereof) after using non-heavy skills seem super generous compared to Vanilla VS too, and the removal/reduction of penalty for simple inputs feels really nice. I'm still trying to learn Siegfried's combos but I'm absolutely terrified of going into online play and getting cooked, LOL. Hopefully I can at least get good enough to go through Arcade with him.
My only tip of being terrified of being cooked is... Don't be terrified of it, everyone goes through with getting absolutely smoked when starting out in fighting games and as long as you are picking up new things and having fun the lose streak shouldn't bother ya since eventually you are gonna turn it around.
I was really not expecting to have as much fun with GBVSR as I am having right now. This game is such a blast (especially after I was so disappointed with MK1...).
Depends on what style you like I guess. Granblue is the least flashy but easiest to understand for newbie imo, while still pretty hard to master for high level play

I generally find fightin' games difficult to learn. But I do like the art design of this game quite a bit but perhaps that would be the wrong reason to buy it?
It's one of the easiest to pick up considering they got rid of traditional QCF moves for simple special inputs that's like smash bros. They have a demo you can download and try to see if it's your cup of tea or not
Heyo! I had the exact same reason for liking this game. I tried the free version to see if i would like it, and it is definitely one of those types "easy to pick up and learn, but hard-ish to master". I played for 10h straight and got a good idea of how my character (Katalina) plays. I as well find fighting games bit difficult, but i hope you will enjoy your time if you decide to get it ✌🏼 just pick a character you like the look of ~☆
There’s a free version that offers 4 rotating characters to play in vs mode and the first part of the single player story (oh and Fall Guys). Join the dripless Gran gang. This version of the game cranks up the number of universal mechanics, but overall it’s easy to pick up and play. If you want to just dive in and find some success, Granblue lets you do that. The direction + special inputs similar to Smash Bros offer almost no downside, and you can choose to use the old-school motions whenever you want. I think GBVS was something special, and Rising giving the game a second chance at life is really cool.

Nier carried my ass to A rank. I only really wanted to play her because she's my favorite evoker, and she's got a pretty permanent place in my Dark team, but her kit is definitely overtuned.
