Danny was in Bolton and had already heard lots about Grandma's Kitchen in the past, so he had to try it out. Marion cooks and serves a menu from her home in Bolton and defiantly knows how to cook a smile on Danny's face!
Just want to thank absolutely everyone for their amazing feedback off this video! I am absolutely blown away by everyones response 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Ive been receiving messages all day. People following my business pages and even had visitors off here for cookies 😂😂😂😂 Thank you Rate my takeaway and thank you everyone for your kindness. I don't like what I do I love it and this is why 🖤🖤🖤
Imagine you wake up open your curtains look out the window and see a bloke pitched up with a camping table and chair having a full English on the side of the pavement.
@@milliondollartreasuremapga8612 well I’m guessing they milked it for all its worth after he did the review. For some reason the YT algorithm recommended this one to a lot of viewers at the time, not long after this channel got going. In my opinion I think this video alone was what kickstarted his success, he suddenly had huge exposure and it snowballed from there. Its like any business. Once you invest financially, it makes you more money. The more money you make, the more you can invest. Without the exposure and a bit of luck this channel could easily have gone nowhere, with a few subscribers just ticking along. Grandmas Kitchen was simply in the right place at the right time just as the success of this channel took off.
But would the business have taken off if this channel had not existed ? I don’t think so. A massive boost in publicity from people after seeing Dannys review probably made a huge difference, with advertising it “as seen on RU-vid” etc maybe. Im only guessing but they got lucky. Selling food from an old terraced house to a brand new large premises. That only happens with a massive upturn in trade or someone with a lot of money to invest. Most couldn’t afford to make that jump.
This guy is a gem. Just a regular guy going around rating takeaways, nothing elitist or snobby about it. Just a bloke eating food and helping decent people out. Much respect.
@@robertmillington3321 think its more about inviting strangers to your house and doing something for them . here in na we are scared to talk to others let alone give out our address and be nice to them
@@jugaloking69dope58 I come from a town just away from Farnworth, its a northern thing. We say hello to strangers in the street, no one is ever too busy to have a brew, and generally being good to each other. Different in other parts of the country, but it didn't surprise me she let him set up, and although a few curtains may have been twitching, the rest of the street potentially didn't find it all that strange to see a man sat eating outside grandma's. Wonderful way to live
@@nickpeall out of covid you wouldn't see it up here. If he had asked if he could eat it there and review it grandma would probably have invited him in!
@@Irv350 tom n willy, pretty sure wales and scotland have naff all to do with a full english pal English isn’t just a language, it’s a separate nation of people
i love his videos. no stupid over the top editing. just a man going around and eating food. reminds me of the old youtube days. this is what youtube is supposed to be like his accent definitely ads to the fun
What else makes it down to earth is the way he doesn't ring up the takeaways beforehand to set up some over the top collaboration or interview, he's just in there with some kind, friendly chat and he's out of there soon after to enjoy his takeaway and share his thoughts. RU-vidrs nowadays would try and get a free deal in exchange for exposure of the business, have them sit down for some kind of interview with the owners for the purposes of social media and shots taken with them for Instagram. Love this guy's lack of faff and his genuine attitude.
I live in San Diego and this row housing is so different than here. And breakfast on the sidewalk cracks me up! The food looks delicious. Good job Grandma.
Fresh cookies to order that are warm crispy outside, melted inside-yes thank you. And a full English breakfast at your own bistro style take along table. This is the life. Thanks for taking us along.
I can imagine him in the future when his RU-vid pops off. Travelling to different countries with his table and chair and reviewing take aways from around the world
@shinyshoes I mean, probably wouldn't be so bad Labour didn't keep putting us in debt with their people appealing schemes for votes. They seem to think money grows on trees with all the promises they make at every election cycle. No wonder the Tories have to be careful with money after they've been voted in to fix Labour's mistakes.
How a kid from Colombia( me), ended up watching a video of this nice guy eating an english breakfast, algorithm is wild but i really loved it, cool video bro.
The world is an amazing place. I am from this area of the world. (The north of the UK) I did, however, use to live in central America, costa Rica, Mexico, etc. I think human beings share more in common than otherwise. Glad you enjoyed the video, me too. You cant beat some of our food.
@@SwazersC It’s great to see people from all over the world enjoying this brilliant video. He’s a star and good luck and health to him. but sorry my friend, Bolton is not in the north of the UK.
The North really is a foreign culture compared to the South, everyone is so laidback. If you did this round here you would have the police called on you 😂
@@reecemcguinness your right there mon. I got up one morning and there was a bloke stood up leaning on my wheelie bin fast asleep at front of my house. just made him a brew and passed it to him on my way out the door going to work. I didn't think to question it.
I was up north years ago near the Magna science centre for a Tidy rave. Same night that a Westlife (I think it was them) concert was going on and all the B&Bs were booked but we needed a place for the girls to get changed. A local overheard us asking in a pub if they had any rooms going. He took all 4 of us back to his house and left us in there with the key while he went back to the pub. Told us to put the key through the letterbox when we were done.
Every once and a while RU-vid recommends a gem of a video. this is one of those occasions. They've obviously dined at Grandmas Kitchen! That was brilliant!
Peter Kay's and Johnny Vegas's love child. He phoned the day before and asked her "do you deliver?" The woman replied " no but we do have bacon and sausage."
In one of the videos he's sat outside someone's house and they wanna come out but some how Danny is in the way but hadn't realised OMG I couldn't breathe for laughing, the woman's face coming out was disgusted LOL!!!
Grandma looks younger than my daughter, and she can cook a great British breakfast.❤ The heart's for the cook in the kitchen. Sadly she is 9,000 kilometres away.
I love it, get ya table setup for business directly outside the house with a camera man recording. I wonder if all the neighbors were watch from their windows!
All I have to say is "keep watching" he really is a gem, and what he is doing for small local business's in this crazy time in the world is just fantastic.
3.29 “I’ve got a table. Am I alright to put me table out here?” She be like: “yeah sure 👀... because that’s normal”... this man is an absolute bloody legend.
Some ordinary people are blessed with an extraordinary personality, and he's one of them. Plonk a table and chair down anywhere, and then review the food on offer. Brilliant idea, and presented by somebody who would always be great fun to talk to. Great stuff!
When she asked him did he want everything on it, the way he answered was textbook like he didn’t even know there was any other response available to him than ‘yes’
Love Scotland myself too. UK are nice people and as well as Ireland. Had some nice hosts and friends. Got used to black pudding and in Tayinloan Scotland had plenty. Love that place
@@joeschmoe8504 oh nice, if you can I recommend Stornoway black pudding, its delicious. Gotta admit, Scotland is beautiful, I'm in Glasgow, its not so pretty but good for shopping 😋
Our lasses gran is a scot, she says northerners are like the scots, friendly an love a joke..southerners totally different, its all about he full English bro, black pudding all the way, tried haggis last year 1st time, brown sauce on it..boom.. Enjoyed it..not a fan of iron brew though😂😅😂😅.
@@loganshooter5331 cool, I must say there are similarities with Northern English and Scottish, people seem more chatty and open in the North, I'm not saying you don't get nice friendly southerners cos I know you do, met plenty but I was blown away at how friendly people were in Belford. I was camping there for 12 weeks cos I was doing archaeological work at Bamburgh Castle and literally within a day or so the whole village would say hello when they saw me. Great hospitality at the pub and local chip shop 👌
This is exactly what youtube is built for. A decent man doing regular stuff sharing his experience in life. Not snobbish, not elitist, not globalist bullshit we are so used to see.
Danny is a legend. Notice how he's never said "Make sure to like, share, subscribe and hit the bell" once in any video even now when it's Sept 2023. Everyone loves him and for good reason.
I love that he just set up a table on the sidewalk to eat breakfast, it's hilarious and so indicative of someone who lives by his own rules in life 😄 That looks like a great breakfast with lots of variety! I'd be so happy with that.
They talk about northern soul. This is northern heart and soul. Love this part of England. Your a wonderful race of people up there. God bless every one of you. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪😘😊
@Craigslist Cannibal I can't get over the whole dessert for breakfast thing Americans have going on though. My friend bought be pancakes and syrup for breakfast once when I was in Florida and I felt nauseous just looking at it. Can't be having that much sugar for a morning meal, it's unnatural.
God you are such a tonic I'm unable to eat solid food ever again, but I can't tell you how much joy watching you enjoy your food I felt.Cancer sucks but with people like you in this world everything is bearable.God Bless you sending you love and thanks.
Is that true Donna? Feel so bad for you and from now on when I'm not enjoying something I'll think of you and try to appreciate it. All the best girl.❤
I love that accent , I used to work in glen Nevis holiday park and loved when the Manchester/Yorkshire folk came in as I find the 'ok love' thanks love' no bother love' so homely ... I'm a highlander but I just find it so endearing...
Yeah, I was wondering who you reminded me of, I agree with the guy below, you have a very similar accent to Peter Kay. Very easy to listen to! Great videos mate.
@@tomjones6106 they have to announce it so when they are confused about how people aren't popping off AR15 to celebrate good food, we can assist them with the information as to why.
Can't believe I've just spent 15 minutes watching a man eating breakfast on the street. Love the accent, I lived in the NW for 10 years, the people are great. 👍
Neither can I you will be I might how easily people are entertained by rubbish like this. I guess yumanity has something to a new low. Watching people on RU-vid eating breakfast wow that's so interesting.. Not
This is so cool. I love this guy. I remember having a full English breakfast in the morning and not being hungry until 8 or 9 o'clock. Way to go UK and this guy is lovely. Hello from US
I usually dislike these you tube “food guys” as I find them disingenuous or snarky, but this guy is great. Seems like a nice guy who loves food and is doing an honest show in a funny quirky way. I subscribed immediately.
Sitting here laughing my nuts off. A Londoner admiring what you are doing for us all. Well-done Grandma and you my friend. Keeping all our spirits up. GOD BLESS. X

I speak like that too. What do other people say "give me that cookie now grandma" 😂 Did you grow up in a part of England where not many people have manners? Because everyone is polite like that in Devon
@@janturner1282 false accusation? I'm not accusing anyone of anything?? I was agreeing with the fact that he was polite- but I said that was normal where I come from?
As an american, i LOVE british styled fried breakfast. literally my favorite meal on the planet! the way the British do bacon is way better, ngl. not to mention black pudding, yummy. gonna have to make the trip across the pond one of these days and try it authentic.
If you make it across the drink, dnt dive in, some cafes kill he full English in cheap fat..I don't want you to try some scrap n think its same all over... A proper English breakfast cooked how YOU like it is the best ever..hope you make it mate.
I think it used to be a lot more common. My Dad, who is 70 odds, told me a story about a family in the street he grew up that ran a convenience store out their house. Also, on the street I grew up, there was a large wooden garage / shed that still had the cigarette advertisement attached to the top of the wall, from when the building used to be a shop.
It's 2023 and I'm sat watching a complete stranger eat breakfast. Brilliant video, so good I'm considering my own venture across the hills to try it myself
From Canada, when the rest of my friends or people I know think of England they think of the Queen, the show the Crown, etc. But this is what I think of, this is quite possibly the most English thing I've ever seen hahaha
Odd! Surely the council will give her shit for this for hygiene regulations? I’m sure her kitchen is spotless but you know how the authorities like to CONTROL everything. Food looks da bomb.
beans in a pot, this is needed. creates some separation so the juice doesn't invade the rest of the breakfast. alternatively use the sausage as a breakwater
A grown man knocking on a stranger's door asking if it's ok if he can have his cookie.....haha. If she was my neighbour I'd add 10 stone during lockdown.
@Ed Kahler yeah but at least that £10 is going to the old lady. She's worked hard and cooks well. You could go to a big greedy company for something not so fresh but I know I'd prefer to use a nice little family run business.
@@_bryanfarrar for sure mate I'd do the same for any small family businesses. People have done when they've stayed in my apartments in Hungary. Always pushes you to keep going and do your best for everyone you know.
