Interesting design .for the sake of precision it should be extended in length and supported by the miling table at the extreme end and the cutter area substantially beefed up ,with cutter shaft being givem as much bearing support as possible . Reminds me of a cross over of boring between centres and keyway cutting .
The problem is that as the table is moved up and down so does the support attached to it, unless you are thinking ofa sliding attachment that can be loosened and tightened as needed. Centering the tool to the work would be quite a chore too.
