Luka is playing QUALIFIERS for Olympics in Greece against Giannis and his Greek national team (qualifiers, not actual Olympics). It's highly unlikely Slovenia will beat Greece at their home court. So there's little chance Luka actually plays at Olympic Games this year.

How is that the same? Luka gets paid by the Mavs. His injuries were a major issue during the playoffs. If he was healthy then sure no one has a problem. He clearly has to prioritize health specifically for the Mavs.

They got him Kp now won a finals beating Luka, they had Brunson who was not valued on the Mavs now a top 5 mvp player, then they got him an all time player one of the most efficient scorers and highest skilled of all time and he doesn’t owe the Mavs to get healthy despite a 400m contract coming up? If he was healthy and in shape every year you would have a point. He’s literally never in shape then has this crazy high usage rate that teams just target him by tiring him out knowing he’s going to hold the ball.

Luka is not suddenly going to be able to JUMP like DJJ after more time in the gym ... but that is not necessary for his success. Steph Curry and Brunson can NOT jump out of the gym yet they are much better players than, say, Ja, who is amazing leaper. Luka might need more conditioning in his workouts. Jokic can not JUMP but his conditioning is excellent. Celtics are just a better team.

It's not though. He played last year. There are qualifiers. It's a bad move. He needs to rest. Rehab. Then work on his skills not just jump back into another season as the same player.
