The same thought process but with whisper of rending on stasis goes really hard-swap explosive with a rapid sniper like distant/ikelos and you get radiant in 2 shots. Honestly amazing for boss damage. Loved the video, caught my eye since I have been using the same weapons this season!
this build is not easy to manage with malfeasance, especially not running ember of solace to increase duration of radiant and restoration. The back and forth swapping/reloading of the grenade launcher to refresh radiant/resto is barely manageable in practicality if you're low on resto stacks, while also wanting to proc lucky pants with malfeasance. it's better off for taken only encounters and boss damage. running a solar primary is the better option here, like sunshot which you mentioned. Much easier to pop your healing grenade and go to town to constantly refresh buffs rather than running a non-solar primary that is malfeasance. But, the build does work if you're skilled at keeping resto/radiant up with the small start timer because you aren't running ember of solace. It's a pain though, and the effort is unrewarded more often than not when you lose restoration and no longer have a healing grenade. Once ember of mercy is fixed, this could could be more legit and less painful.
I think this season sunshot would be better, you can continue to get radiant off of precision hits, and you can keep up restoration. Gonna have to try this on my hunter.
