Hi Dave, quick correction that night help your performance: you can set Draw Cars as low as you want (and get loads of extra performance while racing), and it won't affect your replay. As long as "max cars" is on 63, the sim knows where all the cars are and saves it all to the replay, it just doesn't draw them while you're driving. Also any 3rd party tool that does track positioning of the other cars will act just fine, because of the Max Cars 63 setting. So you can safely turn Draw Cars down and get free performance
I can't believe I haven't heard of this until now. I love that you can set up your own profiles. I like having things cranked up when I'm just practicing or in a race with only 20-ish cars. But when I run an endurance race with 50+ cars, and I don't want to risk framerate issues, I usually turn some things down to make sure I have plenty of overhead. Now I can just click a profile instead of manually tweaking settings.
Brilliant Dave , had the program for ages but only because triple problems, it cured my problems instantly Thanks for explaining other bits though for a late 50s sim racer
Dave, you’re a life saver! Ever since the last update my graphics have been crap. No mater what changes I made, it was terrible. I DLed this program and presto!-make to normal. Thanks so much. I’ll be kicking the developers some money.
I like the part where it’s simple to switch to single for replays reviews. You running surround. I use bezel correction, I wonder if that would still apply
Great program i also saw it from Dan Suzuki. What ive noticed is with Nvidia surround it seems to mess with the visuals even though it should all be off/default but when i use Irsidekick the images look super crispy as you say the FPS is much better. The only problem is for people using Philips Hue fpr ambient lighting on their rigs because you can pick any of the areas on the side screens for your capture area you set with the philips hue PC app because it onpy sees one screen at a time so either all 3 as 1 in Surround or centre monitor with Irsidekick. Not really an issue as mosy people capture the area on the centre screen anyway but sometimes you capture the rear view monitor in the car and somwtimes thats not all on the centre screen so then you need too run the virtual mirror which in turn takes away too much FPS which will be more than the gain using Irsidekick but sidekick obviously has more going for it than just the FPS gain Cheers Dave.
Will check this out as I've been having a nightmare with iRacing resolution/window settings recently swapping from desk single to ultrawide single, even though it was working pretty much fine before
Same since the last patch they did my FPS has been all over the place am not stable. While running a 4090 and 13900k which had zero issues last 2 seasons
You need to reserve some for the operating system and other applications that aren't iRacing. It's a pretty standard number. Also, you will see that it's rare for more than 8GB of video memory to be used. MSI Afterburner or other similar programs will log the max memory usage. @@ReactionSimRacing
Hi Dave, thanks for bringing this application to light for the community. I drive exclusively in VR, does this application help for VR users? Just wondering before I download on my Pc. Thank you for your time mate.
started using this a week ago as through the game it wouldnt set my triples up so someone on the forums told me about it. Also why do you have a -19 on both of ya monitors on the left and right?
Doesn’t matter how long things have been out for as we don’t all try things straight away. I’ve been using the Nvidia game filters but it’s hit and miss whether it works. Also when new drivers are released your settings are lost. So I switched to ReShade and it’s awesome. And yes I know it’s been out for a few years.
