Shenyang is so much nicer now than 20 years ago when i was working there (in 2003, also was made to go watched Cui Jian concert on my birthday, i don't like his music. but it's a way to identify i was actually there.)... back then if you're outside for more than a couple hours, and head indoors with a hot white towel to wipe your face and arms, the towel will turn black from the coal soot all over your skin. The pollution was horrendous back then. But that said, it was a really fun time. I moved to Dalian really quick so i didn't spend that much time in Shenyang, but i really enjoyed exploring the 3 provinces of Dongbei.

As a transit buff, trolleybuses are really cool! Their electric propulsion has advantages like a quieter operation, avoidance of fumes, and faster acceleration, but that's not all! They also do much better on hilly routes than regular motor buses because electric motors provide much higher static torque at start-up, as well as lasting longer than motorbuses because electric motors typically last longer than internal combustion motors and cause less secondary damage from vibration! Fun fact: The bird call used at 2:18 is a red-tailed hawk! Red-tailed hawks are found throughout North America, from the interior of Alaska and northern Canada to as far south as Panama and the Caribbean! In Hollywood movies, they use this call for the bald eagle to make it sound like a menacing national animal, when in reality, the bald eagle doesn't actually sound that menacing! Actual bald eagle vocalizations are far softer and more chirpy

That place looks awesome! I'm so happy, having recently watched the Avatar the Last Airbender trailer from Netflix, and now, I'm hungry for those dumplings~ The peacock drone? and that painting of Stuart's name with ink wash motifs were both awesome! I'd go there primarily though for the food he had shown in another video about Russian influenced creamy fish and guo bao rou~
