At some point you will encounter mealybugs on your houseplants. I used to believe it wasn't true, but in my experience anyways...they will rear their mealy little bug heads all over some or all of your houseplants at some point.
Don't let the little mealybugs freak you out too much though. You can treat them by manually removing them and spraying Isopropyl alcohol on your plants. In some cases you might even want to change the soil your houseplant is living in. Keep calm and houseplant on 🐛

We had mealybugs on our orchid and succulents. We have a sprayer with decent pressure in our kitchen. I basically used it to spray mealybugs off those plants (I sprayed every corner of the plants). It was super affective and the problem did not reoccur.

Dang thats actually a really good idea. You don't know how many times ive crushed a leaf because I scrape too hard with my nail or something. Thank you!

My war with most pests changed with Bonide (systemic insecticide) and mosquito bits. Between the two, I have far fewer. Just a thought.

We have similar friends 😂 I have a horrible spider mite problem, so I have also added horticultural oil to my list. I swear I think about opening a window and that devils just appear.

@@Fabdanc spider mites are a big pain in the butt. I wont buy thin leafed plants because they seem to attract them fast and are devastated by the little chits.

What percentage alcohol do you use?
@TinyWorldLaboratory

70% but when I drink alcohol I like to keep it around 3. Low and slow.

@@TinyWorldLaboratory Thanks, I'll give it a try. Have been trying with a solution of green (soft) soap and neem oil, but haven't had a lot of succes.

To be honest...im not even sure if the spraying alchohol works. Get yourself a good pair of tweezers...and prepare to sit for at least an hour removing. @@bigbotno1
