10:15 japanese saw you cut-force forward, so more square and easy (because not have to push). Quality are expensive, but you cans just buy the saw and make the handle, or Cheap who does not sit down, made in Germany
I’ll be honest, I thought you were going to die sawing that wood with that nasty old saw. Hell of a way to go building an air plant Airuarium and all. 🪴 Please, for your families sake, buy a new saw and a vice.
You put the hangers on the joist wrong. They are suppose to come under the joist not over top. They sit on them. You should be very proud. I love it when i conquer a mountain and end up with my dreams coming true. ❤ i think i might throw up one of these down in the woods. Xox ty
I want to do this by myself. My family laughed at me when i told them. Im glad someone else is doing it alone, too who doesnt have experience. Thanks for showing! Im surprised you didnt add more straight lumbar pieces to connect the beams, or add layers to make more weather proof.
It's important to have no nutrients; the aqua soil was not a good idea because of the nutrients contained therein. Remember to water your carnivorous plants with demineralised water as well.
Hate those dang timers. If only they would store the state when the power went out...because they don't they are useless. I always just use smart timers.
The big ones have worked out. The small pots I made all seemed to fall apart when I planted things. I'd use sand or some sort of aggregate if I was doing it again.
I've debated removing this video from the channel because they basically failed. One of the tubs grew some and the other three became black and disgusting until I eventually tossed them. If I were to try again I'd just do it in jars.
@@TinyWorldLaboratory Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I’ve got a couple of trays that are 2.5 weeks in and have that sweet smell. It’s surprisingly hard to find any mention of it online.
Your cleaning and soaking with tap water….. maybe i missed it but tap water kills the plant. Must use distilled water or rain water. Or the roots will burn and plants die within weeks.
I'm not sure if I used it when I built that terrarium but I have a reef tank so I water all my plants with rodi since I have it on hand. Mosses also don't like tap.
Thanks. I recently replanted it and removed the water feature and it's doing even better. Its a little overgrown at the moment and I hope to create a clean up vid.
Hello Ryan - I found your video searching for oyster mushroom smell. My mycelium used to grow very fast and in 2 days had 2cm thick white healthy fluffy layer on top. Mycelium used to smell very nice like a spicy lip balm. But that new smell was bit chemical and not pleasant. Like a man who had nothing to wear and took his dirty sweaty tshirt from laundry and got sweaty again. Old musky smell. It isn`t like pickles or vinegar - nothing sour. But mycelium looks healthy and perfect like a fresh snow. Is it normal or what could it be?
You'll have to wait and see what shows up but unfortunately my very limited knowledge tells me not pleasant smells are not good. If you don't see any green or black or anything like that though I'd just let er ride.
@@TinyWorldLaboratory Thank you for the response, Ryan. I found out that this chemical musky metal smell is octenol - a natural metabolite that being produced exactly in one week after planting when mycelium forms a thick coat on top. Its annoying but natural - mushrooms shouldn`t smell like that after. I`m trying to cultivate wild pleurotus columbinus and it acts feral:)))
Not sure if you will read this after years on your yt channel but l loved to see Mr.preal on WGBH TV in my state of Massachusetts, l am so happy to see that you went to visit his work and you post it. ,
Love it, this is the most down to earth build I have watched. No bs editing to try to impress your viewers I totally respect this. I built a gypsy wagon and put it by my pond my project is never done…Lol!
@@TinyWorldLaboratory lol .. trust me, I am impressed . I also caught another of your videos with the finger drum and the heart to heart talk. Beautiful talk and wonderful session
They might. I try to wipe the bottles and shake by touching the top and bottom. Gloves isn't a bad idea but seems a little over the top for me personally.
@@TinyWorldLaboratory Touching just top and bottom is a good idea also. However, knowing how forgetful I am I would do it with gloves to get accurate readings because sooner or later I´m touching it my dirty fingers haha!. Right, it sounded a little over the top, but a expensive gadget like this "99 euros" over here deserves some care! Thanks for the reply!
@@UnMinutoViajando Agreed! Now I just wish they'd somehow get rid of those powder packs because those things....those are annoying! Especially when you spill a little and wonder if you just wasted your time taking the measurment.
Yes they are all female. I've had mine for over a year and have found a few eggs but I think they eat the babies or something because I've never seen any new geckos wandering around.
regardless...I still think that stuff is magic and I love using it. The terrarium is looking even better now. I recently replanted it and its growing in like a wild jungle.
A minute and a half in and I’m already ready to sub based on your refreshingly humble and relatable personality alone ♥️ I’m forever getting in over my head because that’s the way my brain works.
We are the same person...I'll try to get some more videos out soon. I've got a giant terrarium waiting in my garage and these tiny little box terrariums that I've got to do some work on. Plus I just bought my son a bearded dragon and of course i'm going to need to renovate that enclosure...
I bought the light from some random dude at spectraldesigns.com. I tried to convince him to let me work with him and sell his lights because they are so awesome but he declined. Either way I like the custom work and I find it awesome that it fit right over the top.
Thank you for sharing this method. I have tried couple times but I have got a lot of sticked, mushy grains on the bottom of the jars. I think it is because I didn't do shaking after. I guess it is really important thing to do. I will try to do it now :)
Hello I have a monstera deliciosa but I want to know if I'm doing everything right, can I send you pictures on some platform, so you can tell me if I staked it right and etc please
Great job! 🤗 Thanks for sharing. Very informative, inspiring and entertaining. You had so much clay, it could have been tampered down and may have naturally sealed. 🤷♀️ Marty Rainey constructed one on Homestead Rescue. Life, Love & Peace 🌻
Ya I had read about that too but I didn't wanna chance it. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the compliment. I never get tired of hearing them haha.
Ya just trying something new. Normally I would just drill a hole but I figured in the smaller tubs it would be better to do more of an area of tiny holes instead
8 months later and I still havent used the water change feature lol. I got the whole setup from a dude that worked at a fish store so its a little overkill but I do always like to go for the good stuff when I can. Even if I don't use it haha.
You have no corals, why worry about dosing now? Not to mention your tanks is only 20 gallons. A five gallon water changee is probaly all you will need to keep your paramaters unless your tank is overloaded with SPS corals.
I really loved this video- I feel like most folks who post this kind of stuff come off super experienced and they make it look so much easier than it really is- seeing someone who is not so experienced and is totally honest about his mistakes and learning the hard way is refreshing, and makes it look and feel a lot more approachable for the average person which is awesome.
Thank you and I totally understand what you are saying. I'm just experienced enough to get in trouble and I like it that way. Keeps life interesting. Thanks for making me feel good brother.
