Mate I just want to say thanks for taking the time to record and upload this video. My hx has rust in all the same places and as a novice on the welder I've been looking at it thinking where the fuck am I even going to start with this... Your tip around breaking it down to piece by piece, panel by panel has helped me now come up with a plan of attack. Thanks again, you have a new subscriber 👍

Nice, just finished doing sills on my hz ute. Wish this vid came out before i started the job, looks like i did it the hard and untidy way. Just like iron empires ute hoodlining vid, came out the weekend after i did mine lol

I've noticed alot of the hq - wb replacement panels from rare spares and resto county don't fit at all I could not believe replacing the floor pans in my Hz how much deeper the ribs on the stock floor pans were to the replacement panels which were much shallower ribs it was a joke considering rare spares supposedly bought all the original panel presses from holdens
Kills vid mate love seeing how you tackle these jobs. You make it look so easy and it looks like you smash it out quick as. From my experience when I did my sills / bottom A and B pillars on my HQ it took me ages but I’m Interested to know what type of grinding tools you use to clean the welds up in places where you can’t get a flapper disc. Do you put any thing on the inside of your panels before you weld them in to protect them from rusting in the future or do you just leave them the way they come when buying the replacement panels Cheers Tait
