A buddie of mine was getting fired at work and as they walked him out I stepped in and grabbed him using the "This is my homeboy from the set! Finance and Budgeting!! I'm keepin em!!" Didn't work....I ended up getting fired too.
O.G stands for original gangster. Bobby was one of the founding members of the "Duece Gang". So now that he is in jail, time has went by and he's no longer in charge. However, the work that he put-in in the past is respected by the younger/newer members. Based on this, Bobby has authority to make an O.G Call and stand firm on an issue. And all members must abide by it. Remember, Bobby isnt in charge of the gang anymore. And O.G's only get a few of these calls they can make. This is why the leader questions whether or not Bobby really wants to waist his O.G. Call on a Shermhead or drug addict.
I will explain since Bobby was a cofounder of the gang, he had the right to veto any decision made by any low ranking o.g. in prison. Backsteel in Bobby' s eyes was like a foot Soldier . Bobby was also the first one to make his gang a house hold name. That is why even ray ray one of the other cofounder had to follow his command. When he says o.g. call he is letting backsteel know that his word is to go unquestioned, backsteel seeing this knows the penalty for questioning a higher up. That is what save loco from the Aryans.
I'm very disappointed by how much prison changed this guy. Inside, he went to bat for his boy, but once he got out, he called Carlton a sellout and rejected his application to Phi Beta Gamma.

For real I knew this one dude, straight up heroin addict since the age of 15. He had a couple kids he never paid child support on. He saw going to jail as a good time to clean up, get his mind right for a year or two before coming back out on the street to start the next cycle of depravity and drug use. One time I gave him a ride to court for Child support and the judge was giving him shit about him having kids and not paying and always just going to jail for a year, hiding from Child support until caught, then spending another year in. for like 10 years he did this. Dude looked at judge and said "Your honor, I been doing dope since I was 15 years old and I never liked that bitch much anyway or her raggedy kids that probably ain't even mine. I ain't paying shit to that bitch ever so you might as well just lock me up for life." Judge just shook his head and gave dude another year.

@kevin garnett after 9/11, there were nationwide witch hunts by both authorities as well as by nationalist type civilians against brown people, especially if they was Muslim. Gangsta types, who used to buy THC plants from me at wholesale rates shielded me from nationalists on 5 different occasions. And on one occasion, LAPD was rounding up random brown people and sending them "for processing" in this holding cell in some shitforesaken place in Etiwanda, Cali. My black friends from the hood rallied around me, made huge scenes, got ACLU involved, pitched in money to get a lawyer etc. Your people protected me against injustice, even if you yourselves are on the receiving end of police injustice since 1792.
