I like how he snatched them cigarettes w/ a attitude but then realized a few secs later that that was a big come up but still tried to fake like he was still mad😭😭😭 he was hella happy to get them sticks 🤣
Lol you don’t play with converted Muslims who are locked up… usually means they were big killers, who have been working on inner peace, but will still take it there.
To be fair that was only for the ice cream wasn't it? I mean Buddha ain't the brightest bulb in the box, sure, but surely he couldn't have expected all of the above for 15 years?
+marquishaile8 Lol he shoulda went on one with the number 15..AND i want 15 pairs of shoes. but first i need to make 15 phonecalls, ALL numbers ending with 15... on dinner time!...i want him to bring me 15 napkins, in 15 diffrent colors, bark 15 times and bring me 15 cups of water with the number 15 painted on each glass... at our scheduled aryan tea time, i want him to bring me 15 pouches of tea, bring my friend 15 razors and 15 bottles of shaving cream... What else buddah? *looks over at buddah* [15, uhm, tanktops?] Yeeeaaaah....
Bobby only sentenced to 10 years. But want his Dessert for 15!!😂 The way Ali said we want to make sure YOU dont break any rules either Budda. This whole scene Classic!!✊🏿
What I like about this scene it shows what all these inmates who are supposed to hate each other to the deaths shared beliefs- •They value honoring debts •They value manhood as defined by prison terms •They value business transactions being properly honored •They value a different sense of Justice
I liked that aspect. It was jailhouse gangster but it was ordered in a sophisticated way. You really get the feeling that they have codes amd everyone is so dramatic because its important.
I swear to God, This scene lives in my head Rent Free. Seeing this the first time as a teen, all i could repeat around the house was "HE'S A MAN BUDDHA, HE IS A MANNNNHHHH" 🤣🤣🤣 Classic ass movie.
This movie is one of the most intelligent I had seen in a long time, it avoided all the usual clichés this genre usually produces. My hats off to all that were a part of this production.
i think at the time i was in prison they was like 100 a carton, like newports be 12-15 a pack,.. cuz we could get loose roll able tobacco in pouches,.. and black and milds and a few packs
OG played his role to well when he spoke about his son the passion and anger he put out through his character was heartfelt I hated to see Bobby leave him behind in prison smh
well 15$ in the joint like that is like 750$ on the street in the prison. Tbh the black dude fucked up within the rules of the system and took on the debt. If you butt in the middle of something like that and not satisfy the Ab or w/e the gang, it can cause a HUGE riot with ppl getting killed. So those guy knew better and had to pretty much satisfy any of his needs.
It's been alot of years since I allowed myself to watch this scene. I see this from a new perspective now. This kind of life can change a human being into something else...an animal. A real animal, which you don't come back from without spiritual help.
"Let's eat breakfast", what a way to start the day. Stay out of trouble. Glad they rolled in there like that, I do wonder if someone can come up with 15 boxes of smokes that fast though.
People might talk shit about the voice acting, but I think the facial expressions are absolutely class A in this scene. The looks on all of these actors faces is convincing. They look like they're in a legitimately tense situation that none of them really want to be in, yet all stand their ground, knowing intense violence could break out at any moment. The dialogue could be better, but the physical acting is impeccable. Great scene. Always loved it.
The Facial Expressions is Class A acting.. It's the Dialogue people had the problem with.. If the words were better this movie would of been Oscar bait for sure cause clearly everyone in this movie were classically trained actors.. It's the Dialogue that kinda throws it off..
Feeling the dialogue was great you gotta remember this a old movie the dialogue was true to how people was talking back then and they thru a lil comedy in there "I want his dessert for 15 years"😂😂
This is what I'm talking about. Buddah wanted Bobby's desert for 15 years, but he had to be reasonable, so he comprised. Got Bobby's desert for 3 months instead. This is very accurate, I should know. I did 20 years.
Me at the Church's Drive thru... "Welcome to Church's may I help you?" "I WANT 15 BOX!" "15 piece box, yessir...anything else?" "PLUS INTEREST!" "Excuse me sir?"
The Muslims have had to deal with Buddha before. Clearly this isnt their first rodeo. Meanwhile the other ABs are rather embarrased and grateful that its handled discreetly.
Reality is never happens, it's pretty easy to cut some people out on certain races but on the other races yeah I know you get the entire pile sorry buddy. #the more you know
Damn Budda wanted his desert for the fifteen years. He didn't even get fifteen years. What was he supposed to do buy Twinkies on his canteen after he gets paroled.
Jay Reffner : Hahaha! No. Being that Bobby didn't have but 10 years. If Budda pressed the issue. Bobby would've had to buy him alot of pies and snack cakes off canteen before he left.
I was told a long time ago that cigarettes are like money in prison and that quote blew me away. I've never been to jail but knew dudes that went in. Im grateful my mom and dad kept my head on a straight line since my youth days
i have a rolling machine that cost $60 and buy 4000 tubes and 5 lbs of tobacco for $170. It comes out to around .02 cents a cigarette. best decision for smoking ive ever made. here in cook county, chicagoland a pack is like 13-15 dollars depending on area/store.
@Rico Smith by todays standards,.. that Crate or carton.. is worth 100 even though they wack ass marlboros ,.. dude just handed him 1500 bucks..plus prices have their own amplified worth.. stuff from the outside is easily worth double..
So ok thats alot of cigarettes and if voces they mean packs thats whole lot aroun 300 cigs of he means cartons thats aroun 3000 cigs so in prison your bassicaly rich with all of that
