THIS IS ARCANE?!?! - Arcane - S1 E1 - FIRST TIME WATCHING!! 

The one spoiler i will give to this show is this: Once you are done watching it, go back and watch it again. The foreshadowing/callbacks are done quite subtly and you wont pick them up on your first watch. Ive been a League lore fan for over a decade and even i didnt catch everything on my first watch through of the series.

YES, so thrilled you're checking this series out! It's a legitimate masterpiece of modern TV, and one of the most gorgeous pieces of visual art I've seen in a long time. So excited to see you go on this ride! :)

You're in for a treat! Especially since it seems that you are a creative type. This show excels at every aspect of story telling, but I'm guessing that you will really enjoy the music. All of the songs were composed "to picture", meaning they aren't just jammed in there... they were made with the scenes and story in mind. Don't expect static archetype characters either. These characters develop with the story. Good guy / Bad guy doesn't apply. Right and Wrong is completely dependent on each characters own point of view and personal history. I have watched many content creators react to this show and most find themselves inspired when they finish. There is also a 5-part "making of" series (here on youtube) after you're done that is excellent. Looking forward to your future episodes... SUBSCRIBED!

The basic lore goes like this. The world of Runeterra on which "League of Legends", "Legends of Runeterra","Arcane", "Teamfight Tactics" and the upcoming "Project L" fighting game are set are divided into multiple regions roughly equivalent to ancient and contemporary civilizations in our own world(I.e. Noxus is basically Ancient Rome, Demacia is Elizabethan-era England with a bit of the magicphobia of the Medieval era and Salem Witch Trials, Piltover is Industrial Revolution era England, Shurima is Egypt and Zaun is a mix of 1920s Chicago, 1990s LA and England during the Great Depression. Ionia is Feudal Japan. Ekko`s appearance is a mix of Aboriginal Australians, Melanesians and an African-American street punk).

YAY We hooked another one! Arcane is THE story of the whole damn century. Every aspect is 10/10!

every single character in this show is so simple, but well established in the beginning, but the seeds for complicated and well done characterisation are all planted in this episode as well.

A great show, a glimmer of hope in this dark times of TV and movies and a great reaction. Although I don’t think the cat died, I think the rat died because of the drug (shimer). It makes Decard’s later comment about drinking it make more sense “It will kill me”.

Also! Consider watching (and maybe reacting to?) the MV: Imagine Dragons feat. J.I.D "Enemy"! It's got some extra but very much needed content to the story of this show.

The visuals of the entire show are exceptional. You could basically pause just about anywhere, and the still frame will be interesting enough to use as a desktop background with ease. Try it. Just have a friend randomly say a time, find the corresponding frame and use it.

"Who leaves an open sandwich if they're not coming right back?" A very focussed inventor with an apartment full of expensive gear, who, unlike our scrawny protagonists, has enough money to forget about an expensive looking sandwich. A characterful little bit of world-building detail! Poor Mylo. Everyone from the Undercity has some flavour of inferiority, and he turns both barrels of his on Powder. He's not as good a fighter as Vi or Claggor, he's not as streetwise as he tries to make out, and even his speciality - lockpicking - was not only not needed, but made to look stupid by Vi. Powder's little, but she's already smarter than him and better with mechanisms. Mylo is terrified that he's going to be useless and the weakest soon, and he acts out by overcompensating with his confidence and trying to undermine Powder. He even played his part in ruining the job by trying to swagger and look successful in the eyes of Deckard, a bigger street kid. One hour of TV and you can completely understand Mylo.
