Very true & it's happening here in the UK too. Lots of crimes are never investigated. If you get your car stolen or your house broken into, the police are not interested, they will just give you a crime number for your insurance company. People keep saying "according to the law..." Apparently, they are prosecuting according to the law, they just changed the law in favour of criminals. Look at, what was it, Chicago, made it so a felony is now a misdemeanor. Go from years in prison, to days, weeks in jail. Even most sexual offenses are lowered.
