As a disabled person, FINALLY a comedian doesn't think we're invisible. I either get bullied by strangers, patronized or I'm invisible. Dave Chappelle made me feel human for once in my life. To have a comedian of Dave's stature talk about me is an honour.

Bro the way he setups up a joke, his delivery and timing, the looks he gives, makes his voice fit what he's talking about and draws you in then totally blindsides you with the punchline smh Its a pure masterclass in comedy. That aside from the shock value, his intellect and ability to convey his relatability in the way he sees things. Its like watching Brady or Peyton Manning lead a game winning drive, just WOW!

The thing Jim Carrey did is the same thing that Al Pacino did in Scarface. There's a documentary about the movie and the actors mentioned that offset Al ignored anyone who didn't call him "Tony". It was to the point where the cast and crew were telling "Tony" shit in a Cuban accent. I think he even walked around on and off set with a gun but that was for other reasons.

That joke about Norm calling him to meet Jim Carrey is hilarious, but that's not the genius behind it. It was a huge homage to Norm as it was told in the typical Norm MacDonald style. A long story, where the majority of it is irrelevant. You let your guard down and then he nails you with a punchline you didn't see coming. That was a massive tip of the hat to Norm from Dave.

The problem is people can't drop their own ego. If you can't laugh at yourself, then you have no business laughing at anyone or anything else, period. A great percentage of the U.S. population wants people to feel sorry for them. This whole "I'm a victim" thing. That's just an excuse. I feel bad for people when bad shit happens to them. However, everyone's life isn't perfect. Right now, at this very moment, there's someone going through some life changing event that we can't possibly imagine. Somewhere on this planet, there are thousands of people. Each one is a living, breathing human being, and they could be going through something far worse than we ever could. We just have to live our lives and learn as much as we can from our own failures. To grow in every sense of the word. In every aspect of our lives. Meaning physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. And if we do not do this soon, then our extinction will be of our own making. Omg like I'm preaching. I'm honestly not trying to. My bad fellas. But yeah, i get the world is full of individuals that just can't get along. I don't know why though. Yes there's people i don't really care to be around or conversate with. But if at all possible, i just avoid it. And if there's no way around it, then at the very least I'll try to be cordial with them. But i can't really worry about them. All i can control is myself and how treat others. Work on becoming a better human being. It's a long arduous process, especially when you have decades worth of repeating unhealthy thoughts and habits. But I'm in it for the long haul. Sorry for the rant fellas. I remember when they did that first Suicide Squad movie, and Jared Leto was the Joker, he was sending co-stars used condoms and anal beads and even a dead rat, citing his commitment to the role of the Joker. Heath Ledger's unfortunate passing didn't have anything to do with the Joker, but those movies take so long to make, he'd already done three movies after The Dark Knight. I think I can respect when actors do that in ways that aren't annoying as shit. Like, Christian Bale isn't really a "method actor" but he can bulk up or slim down for roles and be nearly unrecognizable. Look at him in "The Machinist" from 2004 at 120 pounds, and look at him in "Vice" from 2018 at 228. The only thing that I've really noticed was that while he was doing press for the Batman movies, he used Bruce Wayne's American accent instead of his natural Welsh accent, which is probably a conscious choice on his part for the marketing promotion.
