It's not. Taking care kids way more difficult, tenous, stressful, and you never not worry about your kids, whether they are 5 years old, 10 years old, 18 years old, or 40 years old. You always worry for them. I think Bill Burr is just having a comedy moments.

Father of two and had 3 dogs over my lifespan so far. Well tbh dogs are kind of comparable to babies. Eventhough a baby is on a whole different level of responsibility here for SURE are many similarities. Its surely not exactly the same but raising a dog puppy felt kind of like a tutorial for raising a baby. To me there is no denying that.

Teaching basic commands like "sit" and "stay" to puppies is akin to teaching toddlers simple instructions. Both benefit from exposure to new environments, people, and other animals to develop social skills. Feeding time can be messy with both babies and puppies, whether it's dealing with spills or cleaning up after mealtime. Regular check-ups and vaccinations are necessary for both babies and puppies to ensure their health and well-being. Both thrive on love, attention, and affection from their caregivers for healthy development. Tracking and celebrating milestones like crawling, walking, and first words in babies mirrors milestones like learning to fetch or mastering tricks in puppies. Both can exhibit unpredictable behavior as they explore and learn about the world around them, requiring supervision and guidance. Do i really need to list more examples???

@TheBigchekka dood. It's not the same! You are just talking about the basic responsibilities of taking care of anything that relies on you. You don't have to teach your dog right from wrong, good from bad, or literally any deep things; you just need to teach it to obey, and you cant stop there with a human child. You cannot just leave your baby for hours on end with some puppy pads in the crate. You cannot rub your baby's nose in it. You cannot just throw some slop in a bowl and put it in front of your baby. Only an at-risk puppy with severe health issues comes close to comparing. Finally: You cannot compare the pain of losing a dog to losing a child, and fuck you very much if you even try with that last one. I'm sorry for your kids that you think treating them like a dog is good enough...
