After you spray the nest. Wait about an hour. Then knock the nest down. Spray with wd40 where the nest was. Also. If you don’t kill the queen then they will make another nest.

Kevin, be sure to do those wasps at night when they're all back in the nest

After you spray their nests & knock them down, spray the area with WD-40 where the nests were. The wasps will not return to make another nest.

We do this at night so we get all of them, because the return at night. Works awesome!

Take a brown paper bag, stuff it with paper or plastic grocery bags, twist the top and had near where the wasps have built nests. The wasps will mistake it for a hornets nest and not build there. Just a suggestion.

The babies have grown so fast.

Only kill the wasps at night. Go with a flashlight at night and spray. The wasps forage during the day and return to the nest to roost at night. You will kill the whole colony at night. Otherwise they return and keep building on that nest.

Kevin: Do not mess with bees as in wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, bumble bees etc. until after sundown. Preferably after dark! You could spray one of those big round hornet nests up in a tree 100 yards away. They will track you down & swarm on you. If you wait until after dark, they will all be home and you get them all. If you just spray at them during the day, some of them will be out and about until after sundown.

Omg, when you showed tbe bigger one I was in shock.

The winter tomato situation is exactly the same here in the NC foothills with the ones they ship from Florida. They're mostly seeds with no meaty part of the tomato and pretty much flavorless. I'm like you Kevin, I'd just a soon do with out than eat them. Also, you would think locally grown greenhouse tomatoes would be good, but they aren't much better than the ones shipped from Florida! You simply cannot beat the flavor of a homegrown tomato harvested ripe from the vine!

You should block the area you spray that in so the chickens can’t eat the wasps that die and the goats can’t get exposed to the poison.

You should have a wire basket hanging in the Chicken Coop for gathering eggs. Having one from the house is fine but an extra one hanging in the chicken coop handles the odd time you come in without a basket.

I was looking in the yard for box elder bug's came across yellow jackets that go down the side of my house like last year. I moved a rock and got stung by them on my nail bed of my thumb. Sprayed hot shots and raid on them only saw a couple of them coming back but not going down the hole yet. Kevin why don't you put on your bee outfit when you spray them then you won't get stung by them.

We use peppermint oil and lemon grass oil about 20 drops to a gallon and spray around our property in areas where wasp like to go and if you do this once a month it really keeps wasp away. during the summer and fall months.

It’s funny if u just sit back and listen to all ur animals. U hear ducks, chickens, goats, dogs, birds , turkeys 🦃 and even roosters too !!! It’s like a wild life zoo or something. I’m not sure if Emus make any kind of noise so I didn’t list them. I like hearing the roosters crow and then the turkeys , then quack 🦆 quack …. And in the middle of ALL that u hear a dog bark . Hi guys. , I've had a freeze dryer for about 3 years now and love it ! One of my favorite things to do is make zucchini chips , just slice them thin and sprinkle seasoning salt or your favorite seasoning and freeze dry , yummy . The kids might like freezing jello . Just make your jello in a pan cut into squares and freeze then freeze dry ; makes a real tasty crunchy snack .

Odds are that if Rachel is allergic to bees, she will also be allergic to wasps. I am glad that you have an effective treatment for them. We don’t have as big a problem with them here because I am also allergic to most every insect venom there is. Stay safe !

I suggested this before but I don't think y'all saw it. Get a package of lunch size paper bags. Stuff one with paper and wrap a string/yarn around the end and hang a couple in your barns. Wasps will think they are hornet nests. This absolutely works. I have had one on my front porch and every 8 ft or so under my house eves. No more wasps.

I always waited until dark to spray, to make sure all the wasps were back in the nest.

I am highly allergic to stinging insects. I noticed that 2 of you nesting boxes had mud dauber nests in the corners. Because of my allergies to stinging insects I have learned to not move around them if they come around. They are attracted to the movement. There are wasps that burrow in the ground along with hornets and yellow jackets. My former landlord would knock down a nest with the spray and then a rake. Collect them all into a cardboard box and burn them. Then he would scrub the pace where the nest was with lemony ammonia. They wouldn't rebuild there again. Don't know if that helps.

That foam spray works great. It is better to do it at night. When it's cooler. You need to knock down the nest after they are dead.

In VT we lost garden, farms and families have no homes. My pharmacy is doing work for 2 destroyed.

Once you get the wasps cleared away take a big brown paper bag and put plastic bags inside it to keep it puffed up then tie it shut on top and hang this inside where they are building their nest and they will think its a hornets nest and they wont come back to this place I had them coming into my house by the front door and i hung a bag by the door and haven"t had any this year i know it sounds kinda funky but it works at least it did for me

We had some wasp nests in our yard one year and we waited until dark to spray them as all the wasps were inside and you get them all at once. Ours are different wasps than yours though. Ours are more like yellow jackets and make a cocoon type nest they go into. When you knock them down they are like paper on the outside.

Another thing you can do is use a fire extinguisher and freeze the nest and drop it into a trash bag. That way they don’t come back and build again!

If Rachel is allergic to bees then odds are she will be allergic to wasps. So I don’t blame her for avoiding the wasps. I get an allergic reaction to bees, wasps, mosquitoes etc. so I avoid when possible.

Kevin I use a one gallon pump sprayer with Dawn dish washing liquid and water mixture. Sprayer will spray about 10’. As soon as it touches them they can’t fly and fall to the ground. Dawn won’t hurt the animals.

Oh my heck! I have never seen a wasp that huge!! Out here in the west… the largest wasps that I have seen.. the body is not even as big as the first joint of my pinky finger! You guys can get saddles and ride those suckers!!😂😂😉😉😉. Those are the size of our hummingbirds!! Love the freeze dried tomatoes! You could always just blend up the freeze dried chunks and use it for a sprinkling on top of a salad, beans, cooked spinach or even sprinkle them in your omelette mixture!
