Also, FYI, I learned synthesis in the early 80s at a local community college where they had two Moog Model 15s, a Model 35, two Oberheim SEM 4-voice keyboards, a MiniMoog, and even an Apple 2 based Alpha Syntauri 8bit digital synth. I do not, however, own any modular gear, because I choose, instead, to remain married.
Thank you for a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ guide to this fantastic synth. You've helped me to get an even better understanding of Bram Bos's latest masterpiece. I like the modular people's happy community.
You had me at “modular” ❤ This app seems to be inspired by the Buchla Easel and Korg Volca Modular, both of which ai like a lot. Gonna go get Hilda now!
Man, this earth lost its chance of having a legendary mind of a Musical Mestro teaching people the divinity of the sonic textures of the universe and the euphoria flowing through our neurons ! Thank god youtube exists.❤❤❤ i like him! theres something in him that reminds me of, nah not that important, amazing stuff . a beautiful soul he is!
I bought hilda day one as i do with all of Bram Bos’s app. Really love this one. Also i love your muuhdular people cave 🐄🐮 Now I will go muuh all of my stof and have a lot of fun doing it.
I’m actually late finding out this video right now, and I’m also new on iPad stuff. My mind is trying to figure out how to incorporate this in my ableton live sessions, thank you very much for the video!
I LOVE Hilda. And your video is as usual super thorough and helpful. What's super fun is using two or more of the touch pads at once. And Hilda in FX slot with a drone on too. Bram really excelled himself here! (Also, sorry about your lack of humour 😵💫 - the MOOdular folk are particularly unfunny🥸)
Good review and insights into yet another fascinating creation from Bram Bos. May the humour be with you. The humour in you is strong. The moodulars are much valued though sometimes lead us into mind boggling complexities (and unavoidable expense) and wondrous things. I'll have to somehow cram Hilda into my over-loaded ipad it seems
Thank you Jakob. Very interesting. Whenever I feel a track is sounding a bit ‘cookie cutter’ I reach for the ID700 auv3, so this is in my area of sound. Thanks for the video.
3:05 Bram, Hilda should come with an overlay lining out the zones as in Jakob’s video here. At least at first sight, I can now see the synth’s structure there so much easier.
Loving this new baby by Bram 🤜🏼🤛🏼. Now Braaaam I know I’ve bothered you enough but please make Mozaic 2 with custom UI layouts and “backgrounds” plssss 🥺🥺🥺
Don’t get me wrong haha I do love this synth I’m not using this just as pretext to ask for stuff 🥲. Regardless, I’m quite happy Bram always releases so many cool toys for us to play with 🙏🏼
If, as I suspect, the name is based on my long time passed Great Aunt Hilda then keep an eye out for follow up products named Gladys, Muriel and Elsie (the rest of my Great Aunts)..
Here’s the reason why I prefer real world objects, they are a lot more consistent in looks, thereby making it easier for the brain to recognize a familiar looking object that you know what it does, in the virtual world, where anything can look as how the developer likes it, it just becomes confusing to the user, therefore making my point very long to explain, this apps design it confusing to me, I don’t recognize anything, based on what I have seen in other apps.
This thing is really 4.2mb? What did bram bos use to code this thing? Occult magic? The blood of elves? Jeez, I can fit it on a floppy disk. Dude's a freaking genius, I don't even know.
Hi mate, just shared this video to a platform called IOSMUSIC RU-vid. I don’t know if you are aware of this platform, it was set up by a gentleman called Jamie Malanda. he is a professional bass player, he set this up specifically for iOS. if you know about it, no worries, but if you don’t know about it have a look, you may find it interesting. All the best now…
I am so glad I did not buy this synth ..it warbles and belches it way through existence and to get to anything novel you confront an avalanche of complexity and end up with something like the last creation you did not use 🥴
