Living in Edmonton I both hate and love the Flames. I hate them because they are our Arch Rival but love them at the same time because you always know every match up will be entertaining.
Same, but as a Flames fan. I will forever be pissed that you landed an (essentially) undisputed #1 player not once, but TWICE, but after such a long time of both teams being largely middling teams, it's definitely something when these teams play now.

The NHL really dropped the ball in only having three BoA games this year in the regular season. Really disappointing. This game was great. I was very pleased to see how the Oilers responded, but it would be nice to see how this team plays with the lead more often. Can’t always rely on your ability to come back.
It's a casualty of having an 82-game schedule with with 32 teams. As a result, teams will play some of their division rivals 4 times, and others just 3 times.The Islanders and Rangers are also only playing each other 3 times. The only solution will be to go to an 84-game season, and that probably won't be discussed until the next CBA.
Great game. As an Edmontonian, I was pleased with the outcome, but I have to say that I like Calgary this year as well. This one could have easily gone either way, and was fun to watch.
as an Oilers fan, I would trade Coleman's kicked in goal being counted for Makar's offside goal not being counted, but neither series would've gone longer than one extra game :P
I was there, it was not fun to watch a 2-1 lead go away live. The most painful part is that we played a good game… at least we have a winning record and don’t need the points yet
This was an entertaining game. Loved the long stretches without a whistle! Had me at the edge of my seat the whole way. I was disappointed Hyman didn’t get the hat trick though, he works hard every game and he totally deserved it.
i played pretty competitive hockey until i graduated college. i got away from the game for about 7 years as i was pretty worn down. Starting to skate and watch the NHL again. Love your recaps and takes on what is going on with teams from your pov. Keep up the great work, the videos are appreciated!

Flames fan here. You can't blame Markstrom for this one, sure he goofed up that McDavid goal but the real issue is our first line. We went from having arguably the best line in the league (Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Lindholm) to a first line that has the same amount of goals as Zach Hyman alone.
Your channel has been quietly spitting fire this season. keep doing the same thing, i think you can really grow your channel with these types of videos. goes well for hockey nerds and newbies.
1:00 goal is because Bread lost his man in the dzone. Bieksa brought it up, you can see Hanafin pointing for Mangiapane to take Hyman but he's caught puck watching.
You should do a quick rundown video about how in the west 5-10 years ago a road trip through California was hell for a team. Now, a road trip through Alberta is hell for a team.
I watched the game, the pace was torrid. I like how my team played despite the loss. If you made one tiny mistake, one bobbled puck, one missed check, your stick or body didn't make it into a passing lane the other team had a scoring opportunity.
Flames fan here. It definitely stings to lose to the Oilers but it was definitely a competitive and hard fought game. Sucks there’s only one more this season unless they meet up in the playoffs again
I think we need another video on McDavid taking it to the next level. Going from being an all-around player, to an all-around player with a focus on goals.... it's like he's pushed himself to yet another level of play

It was the 4th Goal for the oilers that game (This was the Oilers Vs Blackhawks on October 27th this year).
I think doing breakdowns post-jomboy has been tough -- you see a lot of copycats out there (even in the thumbnails) but youve found a really good niche and have made these breakdowns absolutely your own and hockey specific. Speaking of Jomboy I think the gy likes hockey but doesnt really watch the game so his hockey breakdowns always fall a little flat--youre kind of filling in this really nice gap between jomboy-esque context-laden breakdowns and the super timely Jens95 clip uploads. Please keep killing it!

as an LA kings fan, i thought that last video was fine. it was a short vid about the leafs mistakes, not like you were doing a 10 minute game analysis and needed to cover everything from both teams.
This is a common happening with Barrie, more so on the PP. Flames outworked the Oilers, but fantastic Goaltending and the 2 best forwards on planet Earth win a lot of games)
I love that ppl think you do a dis-service to the opposing teams when talking about how the Leafs played bad. They on paper are a top 6 team and we just saw them give the ex-reigning Stanley Cup champs the biggest run for the money outside of the Avs. They should be steam rolling these teams and aren't which is a massive under performance on their part.

Calgary's second goal was awful on edmontons part. They literally watch Luc walk in and didn't challenge him at all. Terrible play by everyone on the ice

Surprised Eck didn't mention anything bad about Nazem Kadri in this video. Well, Kadri has been Calgary's best player so far so what else could a racist like Eck come up with? I'm waiting for Kadri to make a mistake so Eck could make another video about him highlighting him in a negative light.
Skinner has stopped 70 of the last 72 shots from the flames. We also still have Smith on LTIR who beat Calgary 4 games to 1 in the playoffs...And they aren't even the starter!!...Nothing shakey about that. Meanwhile Markstrom is now 3--7 in his last 10 games vs Edmonton with just under a 5.00 G.A.A,,,,, Vladar gave up 3 goals on his first 22 shots in game 1 this year. Marky gave up 3 on his first 25 shots. Are you sure it's not Calgary with the "shaky defence and uncertain goaltending.?"
