THIS Is How Multiplayer Should Have Been In Elden Ring 

I'm actually angry. This is what I wanted most about this game, and when I found it was so tedious, I never touching the coop again.

this mod is genius, makes you wonder why they didn’t do this on release.

It's not that they couldn't make the game like this, they deliberately chose not to. It just doesn't align with the type of game Miyazaki's wants to make. He wants to make difficult single player games that reflect how difficult an unforgiving the world can be. If things are too tough, you can call for some help occasionally. The game isn't intended to be played co-op from start to finish. That's just not how the devs want you to play. All of that said, this mod improves the game 1000% imo and it's everything I've ever wanted from FromSoftware games, the removal of invasions included. I've never had any positive experience with pvp in these games, they've only caused me stress and I've never had fun during invasions.

The 1.08 update cleared my seamless co op progress 😢 I hope they update it soon

God a minute in and I can agree with that perfectly because it started getting so annoying that when I was helping my brother-in-law through the game I would just drop the flowers to make the remedies so that way he could make more remedies because it was just starting to annoy the hell out of both of us that he was running out and if it was a particularly difficult boss or if he was having a particularly difficult time getting to the boss it was hell because it would turn into two days of me waiting for him to get enough for another long day, And the fact that you're only really invaded when you have another player with you is annoying as hell and that is another problem the fact that it is an open world game and there are over world bosses and if you kill a boss you get de-summoned that annoyed the piss out of me because there was a part where I was helping my dad on the mountaintop of the Giants he didn't kill the frost dragon up there but he killed Commander O'Neal or Neal I don't remember his name and that meant I couldn't help him kill that dragon there are a lot of annoyances with this and the fact that the open world is so big and you don't have spells that increased movement speed if there were some poorly thought out parts for co-op in particular.

Me and my friend did the same, we expected to enjoy a multiplayer/co-op story together. However we shortly learned it was not possible to play together consistently despite one of elden rings marketing campaigns vaguely highlighted its multiplayer, that we felt a bit cheated. However i won't disregard that its a good game but they should look at introducing a system where you can merge together. Stuff like cutscene bosses can easily be addressed by placing a loading point outside the instances and have the player/s stand on them to accept the cutscene

A gun souls-like title by the name of Remnant From the Ashes, despite the bad netcode has better co-op multiplayer than this. & yes, this should've been the upgrade instead of the laughable colosseum pvp.

Hard disagree on the invasions being gone as a pro, yes I know that seamless co-op scales up all enemy hp more than vanilla but the enemies and areas in this game are simply not built to deal with more than 1 player at a time leading to it being very easy to just glide through areas with no effort, invaders are meant to balance this out by adding an extra layer of difficulty. Unfortunately gear dependent/twinked out invaders are a big problem but that’s something that gets better the farther into the game you get. If anything I wish that the game could have 6 player multiplayer where a group of 3 players using taunters tongue could be invaded by 3 invaders and joust with one another on torrent, but a man can only dream.

Gotta disagree here, i think elden ring has the best co-op of any souls game. The co-op item is extremely easy to find and amass rather than being finite like in ds2 or super annoying to farm like in ds1, ds3 and bloodborne. Bloodborne also has the issue of lack of feedback where if something is wrong you won't recieve notice of it until your connection drops. While i agree that disconnecting after every boss can be a drag and getting fogged off exploring the overworld can be annoying and that having it be fully seamless would be better, I definitely believe the co-op is the best it's ever been, at least when it comes to just getting a partner and doing a thing.

So nothing like this exists on console?
