Filming around Manchester and Salford with the drone, I capture building boom in the North west. Manchester in recent years has had a boom that has created several skyscrapers and changed the skyline of Manchester forever. I try to document the city scene at this pinnacle time in Manchester and Salford history. This is a some of the highlights in spring 2023. Yes, the rate of change is staggering. I remember 10 years ago a lot of waste ground, old derelict buildings and car parks. Now it has really modern looking buildings. Thanks for watching

When I was a young lad I worked in and around Manchester, and now and again I go through Manchester either on tram or bus, it’s changed beyond recognition, sometimes I think this is good because the young generation is our future but I wonder about the ridiculously high rents for these trendy apartments and hope they won’t be our next slums. Salford uk

2015년에 맨체스터에서 여행 갔을때는 고층빌딩들이 거의 없었는데 고층빌딩이 엄청나게 많아졌네요. 스카이라인에 굉장히 멋집니다.

The skyline looks great but i must admit all those new tall buildings look the same and very cheap dull looking. Over the pennines leeds is seeing a massive boom with as many cranes up constructing many skyscrapers but they are mixed some white/cream and some glass effect. Both leeds and manchester are the 2 most happening cities outside london in terms of construction at present.

@@jonldronevideos yes the leeds skyline is looking great, im aware of 9 more skyscrapers from 24 floors upto 46 floors due to go up with some already in construction. Not just skyscrapers tho, leeds has lots of new modern office blocks constructed and under construction, a mix of brick which fits in with old leeds and of course new metal/glass construction. The cladding used on most blocks is looking good too.

A few skyscrapers can look really good and enhance the skyline, but overdevelopment could ruin Manchester. Here in London a few nice landmarks became obsured by these ugly generic towers. Also when skyscrapers show up the price of everything around them seems to increase by 200% pricing out locals.

Very true, but the area where a lot of these are being built on is waste ground that was used for car parking, left over from the industrial era
