My best friend and I tried to sneak out of our all girls Catholic High School one day since our last period was free. As we were running down the hallway towards the side entrance, she started sing “Ain’t nothin gonna break my stride” 😂 She was a better runner than me and made it out the door. I ran right into one of the nuns and got sent to the library. She became my first born son’s godmother. Sadly, she passed away from cancer in 2017. I miss her so much. But always think of her when I hear this song. ❤️❤️❤️

This song was Matthew Wilder's biggest hit song ever!!! Actually, this song was his one and only Top 10 hit of his career. The song peaked at the #5 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December of 1983. It's a great motivational song indeed.

He's produced Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, and a few others. I'm not a huge fan but it's a catchy tune.
