I love how season 1 had such a small budget (20K in total), because it means the horror had to come from things that didn't require a huge budget to show. Ghost hitchhikers, hidden lake ghosts, fast-moving wendigos, demons looking like ordinary people... all using cheap effects, camera tricks, and the cover of darkness to scare you more with what *isn't* shown than what is. It's very clever, and has aged really well.

Hey! Fun fact, did you know that when that extra walked by and said "Oh, poltergeist? I love that movie!" It wasn't scripted. That extra actually said that because he really loved that movie. Everyone just thought it was so funny that they kept it in.

The emergency door of a commercial plane isn't openable while the cabin is pressurized in the air. It's only usable when on the ground. So someone ripping it open is really extraordinary.

every time you go "heheh he's funny" when dean does something stupid or tells a joke, it adds 10 yrs to my life, ur so right, he's the funniest, also fun fact, around the years this ep aired if you actually called the number john mentions, you'd hear jensen's voices in it (dean) unfortunately didn't get the chance to hear it myself :(

Yep definitely one of the more creepy/ unsettling episodes early on. It’s one of my favorites though. You definitely haven’t seen the last of Demons in this show. Can’t wait for the next ep. 😄

When Jerry said your dad helped me out with a poltergeist an actor in the background said Poltergeist I love that movie. And then Jerry's responded to him to shut up and go back to work. Anyhow that whole bit was unscripted. For whatever reason the actor in the background just threw that out there and the actor playing Jerry is such a seasoned Pro he went with it.

“What if you actually stab yourself with that while you’re sleeping?” My thoughts exactly. 😂

Dude you have to watch the outtakes thats the most fun and the reason my best friend watched the series with me. She did not want to because she hates horror movies, but then I showed her the outtakes and well the hot 2 boys :D

I love this episode! Especially since it shows that Dean is afraid of a normal thing to be scared of and is still just human! Im so excited for you t0 react to the rest of the episodes, I really think you will like them!

My dad works at an airport, a big international airport, and you’d be surprised what they do to airplanes just to get them to fly. Not too long ago, he showed me a picture of one the airline crews duct tapping the door where all the luggage is stored, right before takeoff.

The fear was so real for you with this one! I hate to say I had fun watching you stress out over this episode but it did make your reaction really involved, lol.

When I was little I watched this and was soooo excited because "Hey! Indianapolis!" I was so shocked that this show "took place" in and around the midwest. So many shows are set on the coasts that it was the first time I recognized that some shows did show more of the country.

It's a Absolute BLAST watching someone watch #SPN for the first time and your initial reactions! I look back 17 years ago now and wonder if I was reacting and speculating that way! Your energy is great. Can't wait to see you react to episode 5. 👏👏👀👻👿

to rationalize as for the parts for the haunted plane, when things break, we take out what is still good and use it again, more expensive things like planes trains boats and automobiles this becomes more and more true. Also the emergency exit is definitely not openable in flight, too much air pressure is pushing back it is only meant for use when the plane makes an emergency landing, like in the ocean. ever try opening your car door while driving? the air pressure makes it nearly impossible

This episode is super disturbing. I actually love to fly, but my heart is always in my throat both at take off and landing. I live on an island only way off is to go by boat or plane.

I remembered when I first watched this episode I had to get on a plane the day after, my heart was in my ass the whole time 😭😭

They really do re-use parts from plane crashes…Anything that can be salvaged and recycled is put back to work. ✈️

After I watched this episode for the first time I had to leave the next day for my college graduation. I had taken that flight multiple times but I had to take lots of melatonin so I could fall asleep on the plane.

Flying used to be one of those fears of mine. Heights still is though.

I'm okay with planes, it's only the taking off and landing that makes me freak out. My first time flying, only a few years back, I nearly passed out during take off 😅. My dad was sitting beside me and him and the flight attendant had to keep me up by holding a random conversation. It was so embarrassing and I've never really been able to get on a plane relaxed without medication. First time seeing this episode, about a week before I was going on that first flight didn't really help either. I started watching at Season 4 years ago, but really found the earlier seasons to be more upsetting. There's a few episodes that just really freak me out: this one, House, Bloody Mary, Provenance, The Benders and sort of In My Time Of Dying. House, Bloody Mary and Benders were the worst for me personally though. I've watched them once and I haven't been able to watch them since. They honestly gave me sleepless nights, so goo luck to you 😂 (Benders isn't necessarily a super creepy episode, it just has a more realistic feel to it than any others, but I don't want to spoiler anything, so you'll understand that once you've seen it. I believe the episode was somewhere in the middle of the first season. Even Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean, has admitted that that is one of the only episodes in 15 years that he found to be unsettling.)

This episode reminded me of the first episode of Fringe....not really alike plot wise...just both have to do with planes. Fringe is another good show if you want another supernatural (no pun intended) one to watch. :)

Just found your channel. I’m a huge Supernatural fan. You’ll find a lot of actors that have appeared in other Vancouver filmed shows. I love Stargate too and you see a lot of supporting actors on Supernatural too.

At best, a person's ability to survive demonic possession is fifty/fifty. It depends mainly on the demon's actions while possessing the body. If a person is shot/stabbed/rundown or anything else that can result in death then those injuries won't be an issue until the demon leaves or is exorcised, but as soon as the demon is gone, the body's natural state is resumed, whether that be dead, alive, injured etc.

arghghghg.. anything I want to say is spoilerish.. oh wait.. One isn't...keep telling yourself.. it's just a set.. not a real plane.. :D

supernatural is the only good show your watching. but you should watch smallville instead of trash like teen wolf or vampire diaries.
