I've noticed on there are a few editing errors in the final vid! That'll teach me for staying up late to do it. No more empty black spots around the 7:00 min mark! Promise!

I clicked on this video because this is my dream bike. You've improved this beauty no end. Love the tyres and storage you have. Really looking forward to seeing you on more adventures. I passed my test last year and have gone for the Rebel 500 which I love, but the scrambler is where it's at for me. Keep up the great work. Subscribed.

That's incredibly kind of you! The rebel 500 is also a cracking bike in it's own merit. Thanks for subscribing 😁

I recently purchased my 2023 Scrambler 900. So far I'm loving this bike. I installed the Dresser Bars and added the PIAA Yellow LED lights to them.

Love it! Nice stuff. Have you noticed the PIAA lights have made a difference?

Hi mate, nice mods, I haven’t been on a bike for 40 years so chose one of these to start up riding again. [it’s amazing how much you forget so needed a good bike to start up again] I love the way that it is forgiving and easy to ride, the low down torque is absolutely brilliant, find yourself at low speed in a high gear by mistake ? No worries, just open the throttle and it deals with it. A really fun bike, easy to ride around town, great on the country roads and still OK for a quick ‘short distance’ along a motorway.

Its been 50 years for me and I am drooling over this particular bike. I just retired and I have the time now. Have to convince some people its ok to do. We shall see. I take it you found the bike to be a good one to get your sea legs back? Sub'd.

Good choice on tyres, I've had them on both my Street Scramblers and love them. 👍The OEM Metzelers from new were OK but I had a couple of "moments" on cold wet roads so I sort of lost confidence in them but the Pirellis have been faultless so far. I went for a Denali Soundbomb Split with the horn on one side and the compressor on the other which fitted perfectly!👍 I've also gone for a LED headlight bulb and also a pair of auxiliary LED driving lights, small but powerful. I'm not keen on tail tidies as they don't do much for protection from wet weather road crap. I also fitted the custom Triumph levers and some fat grips as I have quite big hands. Being a practical type of guy I fitted an auto chain oiler, as with all my road bikes. Not the fastest bike on the road but just a great ride.👍
@motobumbles
@motobumbles 5 месяцев назад
Have you found the bulb has made a significant improvement?
@phils2180
@phils2180 5 месяцев назад
@@motobumbles The improvement was significant enough to be worth it IMO. I had to remove the bulb shroud inside the headlight housing (2 screws) to fit the bulb.

Great video. Love the bike - I might be biased. Mines the same color 😬 The pirellis look awesome. I was torn between those and the TKC70 rocks. Just got the rear tkc in and waiting for the front but I’ve heard good things about them and the pirellis being quite similar. Center stand looks like a good idea though.
@motobumbles

Excellent taste 😄 I was definitely torn but wanted something slightly more road oriented and I've heard a lot of people who've tried both over time stick with the scorpions. Both look wicked.

Great video, Do you notice much heat from the exhausts? You look about the same height and build as me - do you find the riding position comfortable? I'm 5'11" and guessing you're much the same.
@motobumbles
@motobumbles Год назад
Thank you very much! I only really notice heat from the engine, not necessarily the exhaust but that's slow slow riding in London. I'm 186cm so a bit bigger, but I think you'd fit perfectly fine on it! Very comfortable.
@robg521
@robg521 10 месяцев назад
I’m 5ft10, on my new one the last 3 weeks it has been the hottest weather in England for ages, when out on the open road I don’t feel the heat from the exhaust at all. [the wind tends to take the heat away from the pipes] When stopped traffic lights I feel the heat from the engine all over rather than the exhaust itself. When riding low speed around the city again I feel a lot of heat rising up from the engine and it’s quite uncomfortable if you are start stop in queues of dense traffic. [At low speed the air doesn’t keep the temperature down so it builds up] Then if every-time you stop if you lean the bike over to the left so your leg rests on the pipes then yes you start to feel the heat from the pipes. [on a winters day you might find this a benefit]
@phils2180
@phils2180 8 месяцев назад
I'm 6'3" and don't really find the heat a problem Sure, you notice it occasionally but it's not enough to ruin a good pair of nylons.

Hey Sven, it's genuine triumph so parts A9708506 and A9708381
@Bibbs420
@Bibbs420 Год назад
@@motobumbles Thanks for your reply! Would you say that this shield protects you properly even at speeds above 90 km/h? I am 6 ft and it’s unbearable to ride at high speeds. Just ordered the shield you mentioned and hooping it works as expected. Some guys tell it will increase the sound around your helmet. I also really like the high front fender, it gives the bike an even more off-road look.
@motobumbles
@motobumbles Год назад
@@Bibbs420 Nothing is going to compare to a full fairing setup - on a naked bike you're only going to do so much in regards to wind. I believe 90km/h is roughly 60mph, which I don't tend to notice much of an issue at. I've never ridden without the shield, but I can definitely feel an area of 'calm' between it and my chest where air must be redirected around. As for noise, I don't really hear much wind unless it's blowing a gale. Any trip I do where I know I'll be going high speeds for a while I will put ear plugs in and that's perfectly comfortable!

Mine is the same, really smooth up to around 4-4500, then just a bit harsher but not enough to be an issue IMO. This bike is all about the torque and and short shifting to make best use of it.👍

@LondonSteveLee
@LondonSteveLee Год назад
@@motobumbles They are simply underpowered for such a heavy bike, an average two litre family car will out accelerate them above 60mph which makes riding them at speed tricky as you cannot get yourself out of trouble if you meet an aggressively driven car. If you plod along on your own - it's fine - but if you ride with buddies which forces you into overtakes sometimes (to keep up) it's dangerous. There's absolutely nothing at the top-end.
@motobumbles
@motobumbles Год назад
@@LondonSteveLee The lack of top end you've spoken about I haven't experienced, however I only really ride up to 85/90 at a push. The argument for group rides could be, ride to your limits, safely - it's usually trying to keep up which gets us bikers a bad name or injured! I would say this bike isn't for racing, it's for enjoying the ride.
@LondonSteveLee
@LondonSteveLee Год назад
@@motobumbles In the real world people don't ride like that. If riding was all about being safe - we'd drive cars.
@motobumbles
@motobumbles Год назад
@@LondonSteveLee I would say that's quite a black and white view of biking, there are plenty of people who enjoy riding. If being able to accelerate faster than a 2L SUV and overtake quickly to keep up with others is so important, I would be curious as to why Royal Enfields and sub 500cc (or less than A2 power restrictions) are so popular at the moment. Triumph wouldn't be bringing out a 400 if people in the real world didn't ride for fun.
