I miss skins so fucking much especially the first genaration. Cassie's story did a huge impact in my life and i don't even know how to cope life after skins ended. This song, i listen to this song when i feel depressed and it makes me want to run away and escape.

The thing I love about Skins is that it's so real and unmasked. What you see on the screen, no matter what it is, you can always find something to relate to. Something you've experienced yourself. It's not all sparkly and glittery and fake like a lot of teenage shows. The characters could be your friends, people at your school. It's just so real.

Here from 2024. This song still feels the same as the day I listened it for the first time. It is so simple yet so sad. The sound cracking, the amateur instrumental record, the simple but powerful lines…they always get me. “this is my city” what a powerful line that puts so many emotions in a short sentence. you live so many things, lost so much of yourself but gained too, you cried your heart out while walking the streets, you kissed your first love in that city and lost him in that city. that coffee shop that most people would find ugly were the place that you took your pregnancy test and trembling while trying to stay calm. this coffee shop will be closed down in a year but that place will stay as being yours. you took so many buses in that city while listening songs looking out the window. this is your town where your belong, your hiraeth, your comfortable hell. i don’t know. this is just so sad. i sometimes hate being so sensitive

This episode is always been one of my favourites. I watched it again tonight right after i got heart broken. So i cried a lot watching it. Specially when adam left a note and just gone like that. I know they were just met but i knew how lonely and desperate cassie felt sitting on that bed reading the note and crying. Its just so hard to explain the feeling this series makes me feel. First generation had the best depht, madness and sadness. With them, we didn't know if we had to laugh till we cried, or if we simply had to cry. They got something different, a kind of sense of reality, a dark beauty that gave us strengh. The next generations had good characters, storylines and acting too, but it sounded more "staged". I know I will forget them. But I will never forget Cassie's broken look in this room, or Chris' sadness when he takes refuge on his brother's grave. Never.

I cried when Sid and Tony gave their farewell to each other on the airport (it talked to me so much about friendship) cause Sid had to leave to New York to see Cassie. Sid and Cassie will be forever in my heart. I dont know if Im ready to watch the second generation of Skins because the first generation characters are so good.

wait what? I could be wrong but I thought Adam's character was only introduced because he was similar to Cassie. Hence his purpose was to abandon Cassie out of confusion, as she did to Sid. It's a moment of empathy when Cassie weeps, not sympathy. She kept turning from her friends to avoid being hurt. Which inevitably hurts her friends. Cassie is emotionally weak and immature. Running away from your problems isn't a solution (one of the big points of the show.) She deserved exactly what happened.

I'm in the U.S. and just got into this show. I gave the US version of Skins a chance but holy shit it sucked. The U.K. series is fuckin awesome and this song perfectly describes Cassie.

Сегодня ранним утром досмотрела второй сезон. И мне показалось, что история с Адамом параллельна истории Тони с той мнимой девушкой из его эпизода в том же сезоне. Кэс вполне могла представить себе Адама, и, если честно, я думала, что это и есть одна из внутренних "надежд" Кэсси, которые уходят от нее, так же, как исчезли все фото и следы Адама. И да, эта песня слишком невероятна...

I've just watched skins and immediately find this song after finished ss2. It reminds me a lonely cassie lost in NY. I think cassie is one of my favourite character skins. Love her so much

Just restarted to re-watch the whole TV show and went full high-school depressed myself but god what a purely awesome show it was : perfectly written, out of the chart actors, directors who definitely should have been awarded,.. Even though it's talking about teanagers it's a freaking amazing show and I'm so glad I choosed to re-watch it once again! No if anyone had any way for me to access this song which is not on any streaming platform I would be so delighted!
