Walk into the stadium find your seat, can smell the grass, get a cuppa tea or bottle of water, read the programme, before you know it the stadium is full and the music is pumping before the players come out, Park Lane and the Shelf are banging. Half time, get a bacon sandwich then back out there. Great atmosphere, "Oh when the Spurs, go marching in..." and my favourite "YIDS (dun, dun, dun dun dun-dun) YIDS!" Game over, lost 2-1 to West Brom, still can't find Jenas, "oh well, maybe we'll get in the Europa league next season", "why did I just spend £80 on a new Spurs shirt"...this, this is the life of a Spurs fan. The kids today will have no idea and grow up with the new stadium with craft ales and tapas. Good for them! But I will always miss the old White Hart Lane, can't beat it.
If I lived in London, living near the White Hart Lane and follow all the matches of Tottenham. I am of SS Lazio, but Spurs supporters in England. I would like the Tottenham win the Premier. Legendary Spurs ...
I hope for the new stadium they keep the name White Hart Lane. When I do come back to London the next time I will pop over a see a real team. COYS!!!!!
How the stadium has changed since I was last there in the early 1980s - used to be a frequent visitor there from 1964 onward. Just like all the rest of the Premiership clubs now with precious little character. I know it has it's cockerel and other distinguishing features, but apart from that everything is models on the same homogeneous template. I guess the new stadium will be quite similar but 100 times bigger - Yuck!! COYS!!
It makes financial sense and more capacity for fans to turn up. Its a shame, I like their current stadium, its old fashion, good atmosphere. The downside to new stadia is lack of atmosphere because the way its build as being round inside, no real ''fan zone''... but still needed...
+THE Sun and the Earth, what on earth are you talking about, the new stand will be purposely built to not hold twice the capacity but the bowl is designed to keep the nose contained giving excellent sound.
Seems all very cramped. A bit claustrophobic in the dressing rooms. I hope the new stadium dressing rooms are modern equipped with plenty space and lightning
It was quite a tight ground, as the stadium had to be built within the constraints of the the roads on 3 sides. But now with the new stadium paxton road no longer exists.
@Razamabaz He hasnt signed a new contract because we havent offered him one yet. Walcott isnt great but he still has time on his side. I mean forlan used to be average at best for united back in the day and now look at him! Walcott will improve with time, he has one of the best managers in the world and the best striker to have ever played mentoring him now.
@Scudeyyy Well, another 3 points and a powerful performance from us tonight against the team that has been a real bogey team for us in the past. Totally dominant. A win at home against Wolves and then the crunch match at City. Arsenal have lost their way a little and I just wonder if Wenger is running out of ideas. No matter what anyone thinks of him and I hate him, he has been a great manager for you.
@Scudeyyy I think you'll find we had colour in 1984 and in 73 and believe it or not even in 63. My answer wasn't about who has won most because obviously Arsenal have. I was just pointing out we did these things before you. I stand corrected on the most wins in a row I should have said most consecutive wins from the start of the season. It doesn't matter when records were made or broken what matters is that they are made or broken. Small club? 6 points above you though PMSL.
PAOK fans on tour coming soon...30/11/2011 ! Its a good opportunity for both of us because...1) you'll show us your developed football facilities and 2) we'll give you some free lessons of how is to offer the best support to the team you love! See you before the match with some pints in our hands. After all, Football is the "winner" ...Greetings from Thessaloniki!!
0:14. Only trophy in north london? He's obviously never heard of the only club worth mentioning in North London. Arsenal. The Chicken on the Ball will always been in our shadow.
Weldone Steve Sedgley top man proper football stadium that wonderful ground so much history and heritage not luke those new flat pack ikea steph stadium
@Razamabaz 1/2 I think Wenger knows exactly what hes doing. No one else trusts him but theyll see in many years from now, what wenger is doing is making our future. some say he is not spending, lost his way, his team is losing, 8-2, 4-3, etc etc etc But we cant afford to spend when we have a stadium to pay for which in the future will provide us with revenue to fight with the biggest of clubs out there.
@Razamabaz In a way, as much as I want spurs to fail, I would love it to be a title race between spurs and arsenal (like barca and madrid in la liga) in the future. would be interesting somehow. I hope fifa can do something about rich owners, i hate city and chelsea ruining the game because of them. What fifa fairplay will do i think is prevent relatively weaker clubs like city were, becoming big. and city's stadium isnt actually that big, could affect their revenue...
@Razamabaz If City offered the earth, Im sure wenger will know that our future is more important. He will through the earth at rvp to get a deal done, we will break our wage structure (i hope). Either way, once henry left, we got so much better... you never know what will happen. And in my opinion Henry wasnt or isnt just a goal scorer. Hes a winner, a leader, and a playmaker too. (ofc im going to say hes the best, that man is a legend!)
@Scudeyyy Small club? You wished lol. Shall I list all the things this small club did BEFORE YOU? Won the double, Won a European trophy before you, in fact we were the first British club to win a European trophy. Won eleven games on the trot, you haven't. Won more European trophies than you. We are the ONLY club to win the FA cup as an Amateur club. First club to win the Uefa Cup. There is more but I'll leave it there.
@Razamabaz Piss yourself laughing if you finish there! Either way, in response to your previous comment you think we always talk about our history? Who do you think we are? Liverpool? We have one of the brightest futures of any club in the world. Wilshere's 19, Ramsey is 20, Walcott (Although average at the moment) still has potential and many years to go, Oxlade Chamberlain... youngest player ever to score in the CL, Gibbs and Szczczczxczeny whos only 20 and immense.
@Scudeyyy Lots of fans saying the fair play won'r make an awful lot of difference and the big clubs will find away around it i.e they will find sponsorships as a way of getting money. I hope you're right but I don't think clubs like City and United are going to lay down and die. they will have plans to combat the fair play. Interesting what you say about Wenger laying foundations because that is exactly what Levy is doing at Spurs. 60,000 stadium on the way by way of sponsorship.
@Razamabaz To be brutally honest, i hate to admit it but your current team is vrey strong. I suppose our place in the table is believable after the shambolic start to the season. And obviously losing our best player wasnt going to help. losing "le c***" wasnt helpful either. But I suppose we have recovered and are moving up the table (Sort of). I suppose we'll only ever find out if wenger was right in the next couple of years, this season could recover (ilive in hope) but i doubt it will fully.
@Razamabaz 2/2 and hes promoting youth development, hes transforming arsenal into a club that produces star after star after star, just like barca now. Barca have the money to spend now and the best youth academy after all those years of pain they suffered during the galacticos era and before. Wenger is setting us up for self sustainible success, something man city arent doing. And they will regret it once the fifa fair play thing comes in 2018. They wont be able to just pluck playersfrom anywhr
@Scudeyyy I understood he has refused to even talk about a new contract but anyway if City offer the Earth do you think he will stay? Honestly? Best striker ever Henry? Really? Better than Pele, Maradona and even Greaves? Don't get me wrong he was a great player but best ever is a little contentsious. Sill we all have our own views. As for Wenger, great manager but he seems to have lost it, no trophies for nearly 7 years. We are a different team now. We have added steel to our flair.
@Razamabaz Lool youve been in the CL once before. Youll collapse, just watch... haha stop celebrating early, you're going to regret it because you're a small club with ambitions way beyond your worth.
@Razamabaz You've obviously not worked out how many times you've ended up behind us in the league. Half a season and you're starting to celebrate? Haha deluded... When Uncle Harry leaves, you're going back down the table mate.
@Scudeyyy You goons always do talk history go on some of the facebook pages. Brightest future? not from what I see. Wilshire is a very good player no doubt about that as is Ramsey and chamberlain, Walcott? fraid not fella, even goons I know don't rate him. The problem isn't your midfield it's your defence and attack. Apart from Van Persil you have nothing. Oh sorry, you now have an old man up front. Persil will leave I have no doubt that's why he hasn't signed a new contract. .
@Razamabaz Lol how many doubles have you completed? We have 3 you have 1. 11 games on the trot? we won 14 in a row in 2001/2 PL. And weve gone 49 games unbeaten. have you? amateur club fa cup winners? is that impressive in a time before tv? "won more european trophies than you", yeh in black and white. youve only got cl football once. Weve won the league 11 times more than you. Weve won the FA cup 2 more times than you too. haha small club.
For those of you who read this, the Sp*rs still don't win absolutely nothing of trophies since this date until today what a poor story... Little Coys 🐣🐥🐤
give me a break spurs fans...Its known globally that your club is just a bus stop to Arsenal. Always have something to say about Arsenal because you are jealous of the gooners and what they have.
