I'm happy the cab is a good fit for you. Don't get me wrong I love my 1635, but I would be just as happy with a open station. I also don't plow with mine. That probably makes a big difference
I agree with you on the cab they're nice if you need one for like plowing snow in the winter are doing chores like that but if you want to move dirt or other loader work no cab is the way to go better visibility easier on off the tractor again I will agree with you on the cab
The only thing that I liked about the cab in my 1635 is when I’m plow snow in -25 C, other than that I hated from towing to parking to ditching to brush hogging, I loved my open cab but I froze to death multiple times in our extreme winter weather And you are right about loosing some Horse Power because of the cab
I agree with you, I have a 2016 2538 and the only reason I have the cab, not to mention the true value of actually requiring one In my opinion is my snow removal services. Being out of the cold weather and being able to properly operate during the brutal winter conditions is worth having. Other than that, I would have opted for a no cab tractor for the spring, summer and fall weather.
I have 17 tractors, only two of which have cabs, and you are absolutely right, cabs are only awesome in very select jobs and weather conditions. On a beautiful sunny day, I'd rather be out in the sunshine and fresh air. I'm too tall to stretch out in a cab so my legs cramp up, and I can't reach out and grab an apple to eat without stopping, can't toss the core without opening a door, can't shoot at rodents.... etc. One thing on the greenhouse effect, (I called it the "death terrarium" when working for my dad) if the A/C goes out, you can't survive in it on a sunny 65+degree day!! Can't open enough windows, dad said I was just being a sissy, it's not that bad... wanted to be cheap and wouldn't fix A/C, I made a non opening window permanently open. Haha
Not alot of people ever talk about the downfalls. You hit the nail on the head about the ac. If that ever goes out your almost completely out of luck on a hot day. As always I appreciate you watching the video man.
Valid points for sure. Nothing controversial about it. It's a personal preference. I live in Ontario Canada and my tractor's primary use is going to be snow removal so I wouldn't be without the cab.
Yeah it's funny how upset some folks can get over opinions these days. I just wanted to share my experience with them. Hopefully it helps someone out there save a few bucks
Buy once, cry once. From bush hogging to blowing snow. Buy as much power you need and cab it. Maintaining a half mile gravel drive with the dust choking me doesn't sound like fun either.
Crack that window in the back i got one 1635 i live it pared with pronovost snowblower winter nice summer if not working for you open window in the back 👍
