If you forget a birthday make a cake add candles and click on celebrate. It removes the sad or forgotten bday mood but doesn’t age up. Hope that helps for future forgotten bdays 🎂

Deli, while off the grid you need to specifically set your fridge and stove to work off the grid, or they'll switch on as soon as you have a power surplus. It''ll eat up the power you're generating for the TV.

I felt that “clean up the sims house before you leave” in my core. I tidy my hotel rooms before I leave, because the idea of leaving it more messy than it needs me gives me hives.

That’s so nice. I usually do a tidy of the hotel too. Rubbish in bins, wipe anything obviously dirty!

@@deligracy yup, and as I am European/Norse, that of course means everything is separated for recycling. I think I leave hotel rooms more tidy than my flat is at most times 😂 also, if you find the wind mills thingys in the sims a little too overwhelming, they work just as great scaled down a little. It helps my builds so much 😉

I would have cleaned the house before we moved too. Lol it would have bothered me if I left an empty house with food plates left behind. I have to admit that I cracked up laughing when you said “I feel like I have to set the table now.” But then you took the fridge and stove. 🤣🤣 Exactly what I would have done. I also LOVE the new house so much! I have enjoyed a lot of the builds you have done lately!! ❤

Yes! I just built up this house on this lot earlier, and after three hours, I realized that there definitely was not enough room. I saved my build and transferred it to the larger lot and am working on a full ranch for my horses & am anxious to add in llamas, cows, and chickens!

When competing, click “encourage training” and make sure your needs are high and the horse is excellent in needs. I also use the mirror to inspire and brush teeth so help with my confidence. I’ve taken gold every time so long as I had 1 *higher* level than the requirements.

Hey deli! Remember to click save and not sell energy and water on the letter box 😉 also even though the candles aren't supposed to use power maybe put them on auto, I feel like they still use energy sometimes 🤨

Rainy weather in Australia is perfect for playing the sims and just finished watching the logies (Which is an award show here in Australia) plus I can't wait for Spring 😊. Deli has a sim called Rose while my cat is called Rose but she responds to Rosie 😂😂

Lol so we all have uncles who have cool wine cellars then. He has bottle from my birth year down there even. 😂 Also the barn idea was a good one. It makes sense too because realistically the large lot for a farm would be expensive in real life too. I love the candle, making idea I could even see one of them getting into fabrication to make some really cool modern furniture for when they expand the house.

2:42 I seen lxdice being able to make her sims's horse gain confidence by letting it practice on its own so as long as you tell it to do barrels or jumping on its own and it does it well, the horses should be able to gain confidence, hope this helps!

The horses feet hair is called feathers. And withe with brown is very common color for horses specially for gypsys with feathers.

I lived in a house that was converted from a barn very briefly some years ago now. It was pretty neat. The original barn was built by Mennonites, so it had giant wooden pegs holding big wooden beams together. It also had a barn attached to it. Yours is much nicer than the one I stayed in though. lol

The Country Charm Fridge, though it claims to be functional off the grid, doesn't allow you to add ice... unless that got fixed, but it hadn't last time I checked (after the last update).

The power and water output is going to be really low unless you either buy a large amount of generators or use mods to increase their output. Over at Mod the Sims, gettp has 'More Eco Power' and 'More Eco Water' mods that can give you x2, x3 or x4 more production and LIttleMsSam has one called Better Power and Water that gives you x10 production. Both mods were updated for the last patch.

This has probably already been said, but with the level two handiness skill you can upgrade the shower & stove etc to use less power/water !!! You will be able to shower all sims with two water collectors if the shower is upgraded. Also, add ice to the off the grid fridge... then once you upgrade the fridge to use less power, the ice will never melt and the fridge will never use power

Love how things are progressing in this LP, but poor Clover 😢 The ball not working for the horses after a while is definitely a 'thing', I've seen loads of people mention it and it's happened in my own game. I have to completely delete and rebuy it once the horses start to refuse to use it. If anyone wants to add their 'me too's to AHQ, I started a bug report called [HR] Horse/Foals refuse to play with ball. This pack/update seems to have quite a few bugs which is such a shame as I love playing with the new pack and I'm really enjoying yours (and James' Horse LPs 🤩)

You can sell the eggs in a box of 10 on the tables! I just learned that & have been doing that on my own ranch :) Feels really realistic! Wish you could also do that w bundles of fruit & veg.

The metal gate is a cattle gate. Ornery cows that like to ram gates they become very useful. We had holsteins and they are jerks.

To make your horse feel confident, praise them after training (there should be such interaction :) ). That should do the trick, and no it's not about the confident trait but moodlet, that's correct :) hope this helps!

I have a suggestion about the farm shop, how about canning? you could sell excess eggs as homemade Mayonaise, or sell excess tomatos as tomato sauce? just a thought to add to the off the grid lifestyle

You can sell the oversized crops on the selling table, you just have to drag them onto it. And mark up the prices so you make more money from them ❤

I wonder if that wire fence goes with the cheapest white metal rail base game fence that got a swatch update with the horse ranch pack? Or maybe it is meant to go with the wood fences? Around me I do see farms that have traditional wooden rail fence paddocks but metal wire gates.

In real life chickens will just snatch all your veggies and fruits out of the garden 😂. I have chickens and whenever I open the garden door they come running as fast as possible to trample the plants.

I assume you notice before the video ends but you can sheer the sheep for wool or sheer them for simoleons. Same with the goats, milk or milk for simoleons :) Love the videos and the series:)
